Material is soft with slight give. Definitely works with a convertible bra strap for a strapless bra just use a little double sided tape to keep the back in place.

I wore this to an ASPCA Benefit and it was so lovely; I chose it because it was very unique and I wanted to stand out from LBDs. The dress definitely requires boob stickers of some sort because there is NO PLACE to hide a bra with the interesting cut-outs (which make it super sexy!) so take the time to exercise some coverage options. The material is also a little unforgiving in the front because it's very simple, so make underwear decisions wisely and try not to eat too much before unless you have a great pair of spanx (which I don't). In the end though it was super sexy and fun for an evening party. Give it a try (because I think it looks terrible on the pictured model)

As soon as I put this dress on, I knew it was a sexy, "not trying to hard" dress that would turn heads. Snug fit hit all the right spots, super soft fabric made it great for a winter night dinner w/ the girls and dancing after. Wow.

Worn to a company holiday party, for which this dress is perfect: the long sleeves and mid-thigh length make it appropriate to wear around colleagues, but the unique cutouts make it more glamorous than the average sweater dress. Purple is a great compromise between basic black and more head-turning "party" dresses. Got many compliments throughout the night on how fabulous it was. The dress is made of thin, very stretchy and comfortable material--nothing to pinch or rub or squeeze into here, and sizing shouldn't be a problem- my normal S fit perfectly but I'm sure I could've worn an XS just as easily. However, the dress is not so forgiving in other aspects- lacking its own structure, it clings onto everything, including any minute lumps and bumps. I've never had the occasion to wear shapewear before (I have a bit of bump if I've eaten a lot during the day, but I've never found it a problem with other dresses) but boy, does it show with this dress! Highly recommend shapewear and a strapless bra or stickies- bra straps show, and even with a strapless bra you'll have to be mindful of the back cutout slipping down to show the back of the bra. Overall, a great (and economical!) rental.
