I love this dress. You can wear it in so many ways. I've worn it loose and with a belt and both work great. Im 5'9 and this is the perfect casual length--around the ankle. I'm not returning it!

The dress was shipped without the inner slip so I had to buy a slip dress to wear under it because it is too shear to wear alone. It also had a an odor to it as if it had not been cleaned since the last person wore it. However, I freshened it up with some perfume and wore it to a theater date night in Miami. I loved it and felt comfortable and sexy all night.

So yes, the dress is definitely more 'tent' than form fitting and the tie strings are incredibly long. But seriously, this dress is so chic, fashionable and comfortable. I wore it without the slip and tied the second set of string around my back to accentuate my waist a bit. The dress is pretty long in the back (I'm 5'6) so wedge sandals were a must.

I positively adore this dress and it pained me to send it back. I probably wore it 12 times (thank you Unlimited!!)... I wore to Napa, concerts, dinner with friends, and during the hot summer days.... as others have noted, it's HUGE and there's a ton fabric. But it flows beautiful while you walk. It is slight-see through. I paired it with the included slip (which didn't fit me very well and was not stretchy) or with full coverage chonies + a bralette, depending on the occasion. This dress is absolutely stunning. Definitely would rent again!!

Fabulous, chic maxi with edge. Runs on the larger side with ample room in the bust, waist, and hips, but it's important to note that the silhouette is meant to have an oversized fit to it. Comes with a black slip so you can wear it with to cover up the sheerness or without to show off some skin. Great for day or night and super versatile. If you do wear without the slip you definitely need black or nude undergarments. At 5'7" the length hit at about my ankles.

I love the fabric of this dress. It comes with a silk slip which was great. The back of the dress is beautiful; pleated all the way down. I have it four stars because it does run large and it would have been nice with an accent belt. I'm a size 6. I rented a 40 which is comparable to a 4. I should have rented the smallest size. It was super comfy though and I got tons of compliments. I didn't want to send it back. It's great regardless, but it would be great for maternity as well. Fabric for days.

Super flowy - if you are between sizes for sure size down. I'm tall and it was definitely a maxi, not sure how it would work on shorter frames. This is one of the few pieces I'll keep a bit longer and wear again.

Runs large. Shipped without the slip, which was fine because i was planning to wear it was a pool cover-up. It was beautiful and perfect for that!

Still, easy to wear. The silk slip underneath was cool next to skin. The dress itself, while synthetic, was gorgeous, immaculately cut, and easy. And those pleats! Fainting.

Very oversized, might drown the wrong frame. I'm 5'10", size 4, and wore with really high YSL tributes and the little slip that comes with it underneath.... and it was perfect. In an environment where most women were wearing more revealing outfits, this was a standout for being more classy and covered up, yet still sexy with the sheerness. Beautiful piece.

I loved this dress even more than I was expecting. Due to the pleating the top shell can fit very baggy, it has essentially ENDLESS space in it, however it is really a special piece. The slip underneath has no give so you will want to shop for that to fit you rather than the top shell which will be baggy. I wore this as a dress with sneakers and a long coat and felt very cool. Also wore it to the pool with the front untied as a cover up (I had forgotten mine) and felt very glamorous. Will 100% rent again wish I could afford to buy. It is very long so shorter girls beware.

The pleats at the back billow out and move beautifully as you walk. Material is light and really nice for summer. I will say it was a huge pain in the butt to wear. I had to hoist up the skirt to avoid tripping over it, especially when going up stairs, since there's so much material (I'm 5'6" and the skirt was the correct length). The beaded ties at the front were always about to get into things - like dragging on the floor whenever I went to sit down on the toilet (a bit TMI but hope it helps someone!)

SO comfy and pretty but also quite flowy. If I were any shorter I might feel overwhelmed by the dress. I wore it with flats for casual drinks with friends. It is a beautiful dress, just a lot of fabric. My only complaint is the care/composition tag in the dress is long and white and shows through the semi sheer material. I folded and taped it but it was a little uncomfortable and I wished I owned the dress so I could remove it :P

This dress was super long and super big, but the slip fit well... it wasn't as flattering as black stuff tends to be, I broke up its fan I was with a tattered jean jacket and some fun jewelry...and I had to wear it with 4-5 inch nude wedges. I looked like an on-duty runway model who bust out of work and was gliding to dinner....lol it was funny bc it was just too much for an evening out in the city. But dammit it was worth it, I wouldn't trade in that feeling for a second.

Versatile! Dress it up or down. Provided a slip, but I used my own. The details of lace and pleats goes untouched b/c of the color.... beautifully made. Size down!

This is a fabulously comfortable maxi-dress for summer with a gorgeous, luxe bohemian vibe (p.s. definitely a maxi, not a midi as it appears in the photo--I'm 5'7" and it hit the floor, even when I wore heels). There's nothing there through the cleavage area, however, so be prepared with undergarments! A slip does ship with it, but I found it overly opaque, with a too-frumpy neckline that clashed with the dress itself. A low cut sheer black slip was just the ticket.

This dress has a lot of frantic and plenty of room and length - size down. The pleating and ties have a nice detail that makes this dress feel special.

Very chic and wanted to love this but looked like a tent. With a larger chest this dress was not flattering and had no shape.

This dress is HUGE! I get that it's supposed to have that look, but it also runs large, so it's even more HUGE! It's very light and breezy and can be sexed up or played down, but if you're looking for any structure whatsoever, this is not your dress. I have an athletic build and it looked okay on me, but would probably look much better on a taller, thinner build. I'm 5'6 and wore 5" heels to try to fake the frame needed for this dress. The only undergarments I wore were nipple covers and that's it and that was totally fine. If you don't feel comfortable that exposed, you'll need some kind of lacy bralette and panty because you can see through the sides of this dress. I tried the slip that it comes with and I thought it looked horrible! It covers up the exposed skin at the sternum, which is what makes this dress so attractive.

I ordered this one size larger then usual given that I'm 8 months pregnant however this dress runs super large. I would say two sizes large. It has a full length black slip that goes underneath. I'm 5'2 and the length just hit the floor while barefoot.

Seemed more like a flowy beach cover up to me, but mine came without the slip

Not flattering on someone who is 5'6'' or shorter. No shape or style like shown in the image. I was sad about this rental.
