Shifts typically don't work for me, because I'm a larger size on top than I am on the bottom (so I normally get an unflattering billowing effect from a dress that's not structured). Luckily for me, this dress was the exception! It's fitted without being too snug anywhere - perfect if you're planning to hit the dance floor at a wedding! The color was fantastic, and I loved that it was sparkly - but not *too* sparkly. I received compliments all night and would definitely recommend renting this dress! I normally wear a 6 or an 8, and the 6 worked great for me. I'm on the short side at 5'3", and this dress was the perfect length (a little lower than mid-thigh), so taller girls might want to think about sizing up for more coverage.

I originally picked out two other dresses but there wasn't a second size available in one of the choices, so RTR added this as an option. I am tall and busty so sometimes it's hard to find a perfect fitting dress but I liked this one because there were no zippers, just over the head like t shirt but still form fitting.

I LOVED wearing this dress. I chose cobalt blue suede pumps and an updo. This dress was a bit short but thankfully I have nice legs... So it was perfect for me! I like this for dancing because it covered my flabby arms and looked awesome on the dance floor with all the sequins. I received many compliments all night long! The sequins were not bothersome in the least, I didn't even realize they were there. Not scratchy like other dresses. I was sad to return it :(

The 14 was larger than the 16 for some reason- so I wore the 14. I loved having sleeves! The dress is very flattering and covers any imperfections you feel you have. I wore this is DC and it was quite cold so I had a sweater, tights and booties with it. I love that this dress can be dressed down or up depending on your event. I loved this dress so much!

I could've worn the size down from this dress but since I was wearing a blazer, I didn't mind all the extra room in the arms and stomach. I didn't find it itchy or the sequins bothersome. I was very comfortable. It is on the shorter side so I wore black opaque tights with sparkle in them to distract from the shortness. My New Years outfit was just right.

This was a perfect shift dress- not too lose/square. I got lots of compliments throughout the night! It was perfect for New Years Eve. I wore it with tights because it was cold. I ordered the 4 and the 2 and ended up wearing the 2-the 4 was a little longer (about to my knees).

I usually wear a 16, and it would have fit, but the lining of the dress was tight over my bust. I wore one size up, and it was perfect. The neck line was a little loose, and my bra showed a few times, particularly when leaning over for photos, but, really, I am nit-picking. The dress was perfect for dancing all night long. I am tall and my legs are long, so the dress was short, but I thought in a good way. I had complements all night. What a great dress!

Overall this dress was great! Wore this dress to a fundraiser and loved it! Good for folks with thicker waists and larger chests like me. Very comfortable and the length was perfect! This dress runs large for sure. Would of liked to have worn the 10 since the 12 was a bit loose but for some reason the size 10 seemed even bigger ( not sure if the tag size was wrong) . Would definitely order a size down.

So I got an 8 and 10 in the dress and the 8 was tiny and short and the 10 was huge and sack like. I am 5'7 so the 8 was quite honestly shorter than it should have been, but it was a bachelorette party, so it was ok to be a little out of my comfort zone. Very fun dress!

Runs large! 10 was the only size available and it was really big but still worked great with tights! Loved it!

I wore this to the rehearsal (and rehearsal dinner) of a black tie wedding that I was in. It is WONDERFULLY flattering for a curvier form and it was the perfect amount of glam for the event! It is, however, on the (very) short side, and would have been wildly inappropriate had I not worn it with black tights.

The 16 was a bit too big up top and an appropriate length. The 14 was a better fit but also really short. Overall, it's a great dress and was perfect for my winter formal!

Wore to our first wedding anniversary dinner date :) I'm typically a 4-6 but didn't even try on the 6 as the 4 fit really well and I had plenty of room for dinner! I felt fabulous. However, I have worn a lot of sequin dresses and did find that this one slightly irritated my arms at the sleeves. I think that's to be expected given the cut (has actual short sleeves). Also I noticed by the end of the night that the sequins had caught on my sheer hose... just something to keep in mind, probably wouldn't be an issue for thicker tights. These really weren't big cons overall - I really loved this rental!

Both the size 2 and 4 fit me fine, but I was self conscious of the length so I wore the 4. It's not like me to wear super short dresses, but if you are used to it then length on this dress won't phase you. I got lots of compliments, and really enjoyed this dress as my very first rental!

I am 5'4, typically a size 4, and this fit great and was a perfect length! I loved the sparkles! Just note there is no zipper, and most go on over your head, and the sequins could get stuck in your hair.

I ordered this dress in a size larger then I usually wear since I am 5 months pregnant with my second child. I ordered a size larger as a backup but the 6 fit great! It's definitely a little short (I'm 5'4) so I wore black tights underneath to keep it a little more conservative since it was a semi-formal dinner for my husbands work. The dress hugged my bump but was very comfortable and not tight at all! Really loved my first RTR experience!

Great fit, very comfortable to wear (wore it for 10 hours). Received many compliments, would rent again. Easy to move in; did a lot of dancing and walking. Length was just above the knee (I am 5' 1"). Hid a "bloated" belly and was still comfortable.

Loved this dress! It was really cute and comfortable. I'm very busty and this dress worked perfectly for me. The only negative was that the slip underneath hung out and looked weird. I just used some double sided tape to hide it and had no issue. Would definitely rent this dress again!

I really loved this dress. I was a plus one at a high school reunion and it was the perfect choice. It was great with the weather. Hot Florida heat and I was so happy with the length and comfort. It was shorter than dresses I normally wear but now I'm sold on this style. Highly recommended dress!

This dress was perfect for my friends bachelorette party in hollywood. Some reviews said the sequins were itchy, but i didn't think so. I could have worn one size down, but it was pretty short. It was really comfortable, and loose fitting.

I rented this dress for the big night out during my bachelorette weekend in Austin. I was the perfect dress for the occasion since I didn't want to wear a white dress but still wanted to stand out a bit from my bridesmaids. The length was just short enough but not too short to wear I felt like anything was hanging out. I usually feel like sleeves are tight on me but these had just the right amount of space. It also wasn't itchy under the arms like I was expecting. I will say there were quite a few strings hanging off the dress where sequins had gotten stuck on things but since I was wearing this out in the dark it didn't bother me. At one point in the night I had someone come up to me on 6th street complimenting the dress! I felt great wearing this and would totally rent it again for the right occasion!

I wore this dress to my bf's office holiday party. It was modest enough to be comfortable but the sequence and the fact it is relatively short made it young and fun. I am probably between an 6 and a 8 and went for the 8 since I didn't want it to be too short, and I loved the length. I had no issues with the slip coming out at the bottom. My arms are also a little larger for my size and the 8 fit really well in the arms.

I agree with many of the reviews that the dress was a bit short. But overall, it was a fun and comfortable dress and I received a lot of compliments!

This dress was perfect for a New Years Eve party. It was the perfect length and moved well with me throughout the night. The only thing to note is that there is not a zipper, so be careful doing your hair before putting it on.

I had ordered the 8 and 12 (10 was not available). I felt a little more covered in the thoughts in the 12 but it wasn't baggy. I wore it with tights and over the knee boots which made it even easier to be comfortable without exposing myself :)

It was a wonderful dress for a fall wedding. It was just the right length to be appropriate for a formal wedding and the short sleeves made it warm enough for fall.

I'm 5'2" and this dress hit me in just the right spots. I know sometimes on us short ladies, even the larger petite sizes can be too long - but this dress was just right hitting about mid-thigh. It was not itchy from the sequins and it was comfortable for moving, sitting, and dancing! It comfortably hid my trouble spots as it wasn't too tight, but it was not so baggy that it looked frumpy. I paired with short, black suede heels and a black&white cross body. It really was the perfect dress! Honestly, I'll probably rent this same one again if an occasion calls for it :)

I ordered a size 10 and 12. I first tried on the 12 and thought I could probably size down to the 10. However, the 10 was significantly larger than the 12, perhaps due to wear, stretching, etc. It fit like a sack, so I went with the 12. It was very easy to wear: regular bra (and flattering for size D), not too fitted so no body-skimming undergarments were needed, the sequins weren't irritating at all, and it was just the right length. Nude heels worked well with it (at least before changing into flats later in the evening). I got many compliments on this dress and I felt really great in it.

I normally wear a 6 and the 6 fit a little snug in the arms and the chest so I opted for the 8. It was comfortable and I felt great in it all night.

Really liked this dress. Fit well. Only things I didn't like were the sleeves. Could have been a bit shorter sleeves and the slip showed a bit when I walked. Dress is pretty short as well. I'm 5'9 and it hit above my mid-thigh.

It runs slightly large but is a very flattering fit. It felt loose without feeling too baggy and the length was perfect.

Obviously, this is a short dress but when this dress first arrived it was SO. INCREDIBLY. SHORT. I thought "what size 14 woman is short enough to be comfortable in this," BUT turns out it had just sort of bunched together during the dry cleaning/shipping process. The fabric is very "stretchy" for lack of a better word so i was able to gently pull on the hemline to bring it down then left it hanging up for the next 36 hours and the length was normal enough. (You can see the difference in the length from the night I received it to the night I wore it.) There are a few snags in the fabric here and there but very minor and i assume that's just what happens to sequins after so much wear. The only other small issue I had was the sleeves - the sleeves kind of stayed flipped up all evening and would show the lining of the dress (you can see it in the pics). Again, very insignificant in the grand scheme but i just like to be thorough in my reviews. Overall, I really did love this dress! It's a very loose fitting dress so I felt comfortable from all angles and in all positions. I felt fabulous and stunning the whole night and received compliments non-stop. Another RTR hit that I wish I owned!!

I ordered this for my school's semi formal dance... I'm usually a 4/6. But the size 6 I think was a either a petite size or a messed up somehow. The 6 couldn't even be worn as a shirt it was that shirt. Luckily the 4 was a perfect fit! It stood out and could be dressed up or down. One last think to note is the sequins did get caught in my hair ... so beware of that !
