I could have probably gone down a size maybe even two but I have a large chest and wanted it to just "hang" and not cling. It was a perfect dress! Loved it.

This dress was the hit of the party! I got countless compliments all night long, even from guests I'd never met! It was a last minute exchange and something I never would have picked out for myself, but it was simply beautiful. I'm generally a 14/16, but 18W was the only size in store available at the time, and trying it on felt like if I had actually been a size smaller that it could have been tight but I can't be sure. Also, this might just be me, but beneath the arms the hole sat a little lower than I thought and my bra continued to poke up. My arms are a big insecurity of mine anyway, so please ignore the black shawl I have on in the photo. But for being so ornately decorated and appearing heavy, I spent the afternoon of an August wedding outdoors and the whole night inside dancing and feeling incredibly comfortable. It was definitely an unforgettable night, a lot due in part to my new favorite dress. Do I really have to send it back?

Thought this was a cool looking dress. The cut won't do a lot to show off your curves but the pattern is pretty speeding. I'd say order your normal size if you want it to be a little snug / shapely (not tight though) and a size up if you want more of an oversized look.

The first dress that was sent was very worn and missing sequence, but I was sent another right away. Rented this for a 1920s gala. It was perfect and super comfortable!

This dress fit perfectly. It shows your shape but also hides flaws. I loved it. Lots of complements. The only problem was that the hole for my head was very small, I could barely get my head through- my husband had to help me. I don't have an unusually big head, either.

I am 5'3", 34 D, and was about 145 lbs in the photo. It was form fitting, but not in a tight and can't-breath kind of way. I tried on the 6 and it was actually too big. The 4 was perfect. Also, the dress is not too short and it does not ride up your legs when you dance or walk. The colors of the dress look different in certain lighting which was cool. I received a lot of compliments in this dress. It is perfect if you want to try something a little more than just a little black dress but don't want to over due it with glam. I wore this with closed black round toe pumps, a tennis bracelet, and had a small shiny clutch to match. This was for an early December wedding. The slip material was comfortable and breathable. Even though the material looks like it might bother your underarms and scratch you, it doesn't at all! And there was not random pulls or anything. I would say if to order your dresses 2-3 days before your date to wear, in case you need to exchange or order new.. RTR is pretty fast with sending a new one right away!!

I'm a size 10-12 normally and wore a size 12 in this dress. It fit very well. I'm 5ft tall and 150 lbs. The dress was the perfect length. I was worried sequences would be too rough but they were not at all.

Wore the size 10 as this dress has a fair amount of stretch so the backup size 12 made me look large. Beautiful and comfortable. Received so many compliments.

The dress was super comfortable. I thought maybe the sequins would bother me but they didn't. I got a lot of compliments on it at the NYE wedding i was at. Mine ran pretty true to size but I probably could've sized down and it still would've fit comfortably.

I thought this would be a bit more fitted, but the size 2 that I wore was actually a little big, when I'm typically a size 2-4. The only other thing I noted was that the high neckline cut into my neck when sitting, I had to pull it down and readjust. It was otherwise comfortable, not too short, not itchy

I wish I could have tried on the size 4 but the 6 did have enough room for the shift look I was going for. Over all very comfy, not heavy, good to dance, LOTS of compliments!!

Beautiful color, in like-new condition. Sequins were not at all scratchy. Comfortable weight. 38D didn't need a bra. Overall a great pick, although I wish it had been short, as shown on the website - felt a tad matronly at the knees. Regardless, very easy and fun to wear. Lots of compliments and would rent again!

This dress was a hit for a more formal dinner on vacation. The dress is brighter and busier than what I would normally wear so I chose a slightly more casual shoe and accessories. The fit was great even though I have larger hips/butt. I was worried it wouldn't be flattering in those areas but it was. Safe for pear shapes! I would possibly size down if you are less curvy.

It's a true plus size 16. It is very comfortable. The arm hole are a little big but that is so the dress is comfortable when you sit and put your arms down. I get plenty of compliments in this dress. Highly recommended for curvy girls!

The annual REV Indy fundraiser is always a terrific opportunity for Rent The Runway. This dress made the 2018 event extra special. As an "almost sixty" customer, I love the design, comfort, fit and age appropriateness.

This was a replacement dress, a perfect dress for my event "Star Studded" in Palm Springs. A little bit of a art deco feel. This dress was extremely comfortable, maybe a little scratchy under the arms. I loved it, complements all night long. My only complaint is that a lot of the beading was missing, entire rows, which is not noticeable at all unless you are really studying it. Overall very happy with this dress, fit and comfort wise.

Beautiful blue sparkilimg dress for a gatsby-themed evebt. It was a little loose on me which I liked and the dress was easy to dance in later.

A little big in the arm holes. I felt no chafing. It rode up a bit when I sat down, but it was so beautiful it was worth it.

I wore this dress to a "Roaring 20s" NYE party--and it was stellar! I'm sad I don't have a better photo to show how lovely it looked. I wore the size 4. The 6 was my backup, but would've been too big. The fit of the size 4 was still roomy, so it was very comfortable (no spanx needed!). The beading does make it a bit heavier than most dresses, but nothing outrageous. Recommend!

This dress was actually my 4th choice after the first two were sold out and the 3rd option didn't fit. Boy do things have a way of working out! This dress ended up being a fabulous choice thanks to the RTW stylist who found it for me at the store. I wore it for a destination wedding in Cancun and got tons of compliments all night. It was super comfortable to dance in and quite flattering for my body type.

Got tons of compliments- fun dress and not too flashy although fully sequined. I wore this to a semi formal awards dinner. The only thing that wasn't great is if you have hips (I do) then beware when you sit this rides up kinda high. Other than that it's a hit!

This dress was awesome! I could have sized up to the 12 which is closer to my real size, for a different more relaxed fit but the 10 fit like a glove. It was comfortable to sit, stand, and eat in! I got tons of compliments and while this probably won't be true for most, it matched my hair :)

Loved this dress for a friends wedding. Fit was true to size, I'm 5'8" and it was kind of short on me...especially when I sat down so maybe the 16 would have been longer but I liked the fit of the 14 so I dealt with the length. I adore this dress and you'll definitely steal the show!

I was nervous about this silhouette because I have large breasts, but it complimented my curves well! I was comfortable and confident in this dress, and the sequins were not scratchy on my arms! I would definitely recommend renting this dress!

I loved wearing this dress for my birthday! Wore it on a cocktail bar crawl and it was perfect. I'm a bit short so it was a little long for my taste, but I wore heels to offset this.
