Beautiful fit that made me forget about my weight gain!
I had a tough time shopping for my newly bigger ass since I got injured had to stop running. So when it came time to look for a dress for a formal event, I found it depressing. (For your reference my hips are 43" when measured across my butt, and I weigh 150 pounds.) This dress made me feel great without being self conscious of my butt or belly pooch. The draping is lovely and forgiving of all flaws. I wore a regular bra (hooray) and Spanx. You NEED Spanx - not only to hide the cottage cheese but to hide everything else since this dress is unlined and VERY see-through. Nude Spanx , not black. I felt beautiful and comfortable and danced like no one was watching!

Don't let the high neck line an loose appearance fool you. This is one sexy dress.
As one reviewed said this is a very under rated dress. I loved it. Some said it was see through but I didn't notice that. I wore a spanx slip just in case though. I agree that it ran large. I'm normally a 4-6 but I've got some booty so I was shocked to see the 42 work best.

I liked this dress. Not totally perfect but very good.
I ordered size 4 & 6 thinking that I'd end up in the 4 due to the reviews saying it runs big. I actually ended up wearing the 6 because I felt the 4 felt tight around the armpits. It was longer than I was hoping, below the knee on me. Perhaps if I fit into the 4? In any case, it still looked good and I had compliments. I'm very glad that I had a full slip for the sheerness. It was a nice red color even though I expected more of an orange tone. Overall I was happy and the draping style nicely forgiving!

Strange fit but STUNNING once on!
The fabric is very thin, but is cut in a way that is very flattering. It does wrinkle easy, so have a hand held steamer ready! Very fitted at the bust! This dress will make you feel like an Italian diva!

Cute & comfortable dress. Great for holiday season office party.
This dress is an orange-y red, crepe material. The ruching makes it very forgiving of flaws - no Spanx needed, so very comfortable and easy to wear, but you need a slip because it is very sheer, see-though and unlined. it also wrinkles easily. this dress fell to my knees, which made it the perfect conservative length for work. It wrinkles easily but the ruching also makes it look like it is supposed to be somewhat wrinkly. I used one piece of fashion tape to stick the left shoulder to my bra strap, to make sure it didn't become visible. Many compliments on the color.

Gorgeous shade of red - stand out dress while still looking "appropriate"
This is a beautiful, flattering, forgiving dress, and I think it's highly under-rated! Yes, it's practically see through and you do have to wear a slip, but I don't think that's a deal breaker (although it's a bit surprising that the designer didn't line the dress). Definitely runs large. I'm usually a 6 or even 8, and easily fit into the 4. Length is also long. I'm 5'6" and wouldn't recommend this dress to anyone shorter than me - great dress for taller girls though! This is the dress to rent for when you want to look stylish and stand out, but still look conservative and appropriate. I'd rent it again, and would buy in a second if it ever shows up in a sample sale! Loved the color, draping, and fit!

Great Color! Make a bold statement with this power color!
Draping is great and a beautiful detail. I had to tape it up because I'm so short. Overall this is a fantastic dress!!!

Great dress.
Fabric was thinner than I expected but it worked. This size was definitely too large for me, (it was long and loose) but regardless a flattering dress especially if you are fuller chested.

Beautiful draping, very light fabric
Definitely sheer- plan on a slip or at least nude undergarments. It fits true to size - no stretch - but the draping isn't easy to arrange artfully. It arrived very wrinkled (silk crepe, no surprise) but was easy to press. While pressing, I noticed a stain on the bodice so didn't end up wearing the dress but I would have liked to. The zipper starts on the seam of the dress near your thigh and on the dress I had, was popping out a bit and messing up the line of the dress. I would have worked on it with the iron and steamer, if not for the stain. RTR sent me backups so no emergency, great customer service.

The color was beautiful and the style was forgiving, not too tight. Sexy, but not revealing.
The dress was absoluetly gorgous and I received many compliments. The length was on the longer side, which I loved! It hit at or just above the knee. The downside of this dress was it wrinkled very easily and you defintely had to wear a slip, as it was not lined and was quite shear.

Not as flattering as I was hoping for, lovely color
The color of this dress was beautiful and exactly as expected, and the neckline was lovely, but something about the overall fit wasn't that flattering. The fit was not so bad that I couldn't have made it work but I had rented another dress that was better so I didn't wear this one at all. This was my backup dress, but I was sort of expecting it to be my safety, something that would definitely work on me. What I didn't notice in the photo, is that there is an angled seam around the waist. This dress looked better with a thin black belt on me, but the seam was kind of awkwardly cut. I also felt like the rouching on the bottom half didn't hit in the right places. It didn't lay right on me and wasn't flattering to my behind (something that is generally one of my assets.. no pun intended). The fabric was a bit sheer, but I didn't find it unmanageable with nude colored underwear. I think this dress has the potential to be stunning, but unfortunately not on me!

Beautiful red color for my parents' 50th anniversary party.
A little big on top, but I expect that with every dress I rent. I absolutely loved the color and my husband said it was 10/10. I gave it only a 3 because I didn't realize the first time I tried it on that it is actually a kind of sheer fabric. I realized right before the event and I didn't have a slip. I kept my legs crossed and stayed out of natural light. Additionally, the side zipper is constructed a little awkwardly and the bottom of the zipper poked out through the fabric by my hip.

Pretty, but SHEER.
This dress was beautiful and fit really well but I actually didn't wear this dress because it was SHEER. If you rent this make sure you have a slip to wear!

Beautiful color, but did not fit
I usually fit a 0 in US sizing so I ordered the smallest size available (38 - Italian sizing). Overall the dress was quite large and seems like its meant to be tailored... The dress came down to half way down my calves, and was quite roomy through the waist and hips. However the color, fabric and draping is absolutely beautiful. I would consider purchasing this dress and having it tailored down to size.

Dress Fail
I was unable to wear this dress. It was too big and very long. I typically wear a 10/12 and can at times squeeze into a generous size 8. This was listed as an Italian Size 46 or Size 8. I was surprised that it was so large. It looks great on the model, but in person, it drooped in strange areas. It was also very long--I know some of the reviews say it is short, but mine was knee length. Perhaps if I would have tried a 6? But I never would have thought to order that small. I did like the cowl neck.

not like the "Green for you" dress that looks very similar!
I rented this without looking too closely and thought it would be the red version of the "Green for you" dress and it was not. that's clearly my issue, but even if not, the dress wouldn't have worked. the material is scratchy and uncomfortable. i didn't find it to be see-through like some reviewers, but it was not what i was expecting from Vivienne westwood. the hem also hit mid knee, which was ok, except it flared out for some reason and didn't work with the shape. the draping also made the dress look haphazard instead of chic. just a disappointing rental.

No thanks!
This dress is too shear to wear! You can see right through the bottom, you would have to wear a slip with it. Also, its so long- it fell about 3 inches below my knee! You can't even use fashion tape to make a temporary hem because of the shear fabric. You would have to be 6 ft tall and a size 2 to pull this one off. The top part did look nice, would be good for bigger busts.

Nice cut and generous sizing in the top, but the fabric was thin and casual.
I didn't end up wearing this dress. My event was a party and the fabric was just too thin, making the dress more casual and summery. I think this would work for an outdoor summer event, like a dinner party, but not for where I was going.

It was a good color, but the cut and fit were not flattering
The dress was very sheer, and the zipper on the side puckered when I wore it. It was a little difficult to get it lay right, and needed to be adjusted a few times while wearing it, but the color was fantastic
