This dress is gorgeous! Like others, I thought I would be able to mimic the neckline like the model in the photo, but was unable to figure it out. It still looked great just tossed about. The gold and black combo gives off a green hue in photos, which I was fine with. The fabric is super soft and flexible, though it looks thicker. If you want to show off your collarbone area, this is a fabulous dress!! Very classy and I got compliments all night!

The dress is fitted well at the top and flares out on the bottom. You have to make sure the bottom folds properly after you sit or put it on, otherwise it looks a bit too poofy, but it was quick and easy to put back into shape. Not sure how to get the collar to look like the model's, but honestly you could just let the collar hang and it still looks cute. I went for a straight off-the-shoulder look. The dress is light and comfortable, and very fun to dance in! I got tons of compliments. I would recommend this for a wedding or formal affair, something black tie or black tie optional. It's a bit fancy for a cocktail party. It is shiny but not overwhelming - a bit duller in person than the picture looks.

Loved the style of this dress, but the neckline was a bit tricky. I ordered a size up from what I would normally wear (based on other reviews) but wish I'd stayed with my usual size. The upper chest area was way too big for me and my friends found crafty ways to MacGyver it to me to avoid any Janet Jackson moments on the dance floor. The material was so comfortable, and had a grey/silver/hunter green sheen depending on the lighting. I loved the neckline once we were able to figure it out and received many compliments. Definitely a standout and would order again for another occasion.

I had the same collar issues that other renters had. I can see where the collars seam is supposed to sit, but unless I say motionless the whole night it wouldn't have stayed that way. I found some fashion tape and folded it and it looked just fine. Nice shimmer - i did black accessories but gold or nude would have worked too.

I rented two dresses for this event, and in this dress I did not get a back up size. I was drawn to the drammatic neckline and shimmery fabric - in the end, I opted to wear this one because the other was simply not as flattering on my frame as I'd hoped it would be. I am small up top but big on bottom and this dress works for my classic Pear shape. It was challenging to figure out HOW to wear this dress. When it arrives on the hanger, the neckline looks Just So. You'll look at it hanging perfectly under the plastic and think (naively), "how hard could it be?!". After taking it off the hanger though, you're on your own - the perfect folds melt away without support. I referred back to the model's photo to try to get my dress to work the same way but to no avail. You either have to have her exact measurements, or I didn't have the right size, or that photo is totally photoshopped. I really don't know what the magic trick is, but what I do know is that I fussed with that neckline all evening long. It feels like it sits away from your body too far (so you're constantly checking to make sure the ladies are tucked in), and it's really difficult to make the geometry as shown on the model work. After doing a bit of googling (try "Emma Willis Anglomania"), I made me feel a smidge better to know that celebrities who probably have staff helping them get dressed couldn't figure it out either! In any case, no one seemed to realize what a hard time I was having and I got compliments at the event and at the bars afterwards. At one point a total stranger stopped me to profess how much she loved it! But I have to admit that it was a little odd to get compliments on a dress that I felt somewhat uncomfortable in - I prefer a dress that both looks good and feels good, and gives me the confidence to move around and "work it"!

The dress is meant to run tight through your core, but the sleeves kind of fall onto the shoulders. I didn't have trouble with them like the other reviewers did. The way the sleeves hung off my shoulders made me feel like a princess and I got a lot of complements on the dress. The dress kind of looks green in the pictures but it's actually a black dress with gold glitter.

Very "dressy" dress: material is shiner and thinner than on the picture. There is a tiny black thread running through the fabric. The collar is a little fussy but it looks interesting no matter how you arrange it. You cannot do anything with the pleats on the skirt- they keep the certain "puffy" shape. It all make the dress very interesting. Dress runs small. I am 113lb and 34B and could not zip up size 38. Keep in mind that size 40 fit me perfectly but if I were slightly bigger chested I won't be able zip it either. Dress hits about an inch above the knee. I wore it with black shoes, black clutch, and gold jewelry.

Received a ton of compliments! Very flattering and runs true to size but bodice is a bit on the snug side to keep in mind when ordering. Would definitely recommend.

The dress fit wonderfully and was very true to size, but the sleeves were too long for me and I had to have them hang off my shoulders.

I wore this dress to fundraiser gala. I really liked the dress my only complaint is getting neckline to sit right. I wore the size smaller than I usually wear but had recently lost 10 pounds so I would say it is true to size.

I wore this dress to a law school formal. It's a really pretty color, and I got plenty of compliments. The fabric is much lighter than it looks, which was fine for me, as I was inside the whole time. I agree with the other reviews about the bodice thing--it was sticking out a lot and I couldn't get it to lay flat and ended up taping parts of it. Still, I really enjoyed wearing the dress; overall a good experience!

Overall, I loved this dress! The color/fabric is incredible - a really gorgeous shimmering green gold. It glimmers so beautifully. The neckline was a bit hard to work with initially, and I felt the dress was loose around the chest and on top. I wore the 42, but I think the 40 may have worked, too. The waist on this dress hits a bit low, but since I'm tall with a long torso it was perfect. For someone with a very short torso, this may feel a bit disproportionate. If it wasn't for the loose fitting top, I'd give this 5 stars! GORGEOUS dress!

I liked this dress very much. I didn't love it, and this is one that I was glad I rented and don't own, because I probably wouldn't wear it again. The color is beautiful, it is perfect for my pear shape, and it is unusual enough that in a gala of more than 500 people no one had on a similar dress. Like many of the reviewers, I got a lot of compliments on the dress. The neckline felt a little fussy for my taste, but I knew that when I ordered it. The fabric is rather thin, and the pleats didn't lay quite right. These are relatively minor quibbles about what was a lovely dress.

This dress is very unique and great for the holidays. It runs a bit big so I ended up wearing another dress but really loved how pretty it was. The collar is big but a cool way to make it different.

This dress is pretty, and has more gold sheen than even the photo shows. However, I could not even for a second get the top to look like it does in the photo. It was kind of floppy and loose and would not stay in any one position. Ended up with an awkward krinkle. I tried to use double sided tape, but only to medium success. The pleats in the skirt also don't stay put very well, so lots of fixing.

At the advice of others, I ordered a 0 and a 2. (I'm usually somewhere between the two in dresses.) I couldn't get the 0 zipped at all. Definitely order up a size, so you have the option. Unfortunately, this dress is also not for the short-waisted. I have a short torso, so because of the defined waistline, I ended up with a bunch of extra fabric up top that had nowhere to go. Loved the look of the dress and the fabric (slight shimmer but not in a gaudy way), but I wasn't able to wear it. Would be cute and chic on the right person!

The fit is great, very flattering for most shapes and sizes. The color, like most reviews confirm, is beautiful. The neckline of this dress is interesting enough so that you don't need a lot of jewelry or accessories. The only negative aspect to this dress is that the pleating in front would not stay pleated correctly, I was constantly having to fix the folds so that it laid correctly - it could have just been my size, but it was definitely annoying!

Nice dress, but not what i expected. It came damaged so i could not wear. Ordered size 42 and 44 for back up. 42 fits well except chest and shoulders, came out too big on that area. Material is very light and thin, bright color as shown on picture, does not have lining.

I have to return this dress it didn't fit right. too big on top. I felt like I had to probably pin it to fit right also the bottom pleats didn't lay right. for the amount of money I wanted to look amazing. it is a very pretty dress love the color but not for me.

I read the other comments about how the top part of the dress was big and was difficult to shape like the model in the picture, but I was determined to try it. I like the idea behind the dress, but the top really didn't fold over the way I wanted it to and ended up looking kind of goofy.

I agree with a couple other reviewers that the draping on the neckline was just impossible to get to look right. The fabric is a little too stiff for the drapes to fall gracefully. After messing with it for at least 20 minutes, I gave up.

Fit strangely in the chest, arm holes were uncomfortable, dress did not lay right in the chest fold or skirt pleats. Tried to fold and refold with help of my mother in law and friend, but we could never get it to work.. Disappointed,

I got this dress as a back up for a wedding. It was huge up top! I don't know if the fabric needed to be starched so that it would fold like it does on the model in the picture, but I couldn't figure it out.

The only down side - the collar was a little too much fabric with how I wore it. Everything else was great!

Dress was too tight in upper torso. I'm not a true zero but can sometimes get away with it depending on the dress and I fell in love with this one but there wasn't a 2 available to rent so I took a risk on the 0. Dress was very pretty, I was able to get it zipped up but way too tight up top. Very light weight as others have said and the collar part probably would have bugged me too had I actually gone to wear it, but beautiful dress

The fit was a little tight at the waist. The top was floppy but gorgeous if you can fold origami.

Like others before me, I also had difficulties with the extra material on the top of the dress. I used safety pins and fashion tape to mold and shape the flap so that it wasn't too awkward. I usually run between a 4-6, but this dress was kind of big on me so I pinned it to my bra which worked out perfectly. The color is amazing, and the retro look of the dress was fun and flirty. Sometimes the skirt would stick out and I would need to smooth out the pleats. Otherwise, I got a million compliments on the dress and I would rent it again.

This dress is so beautiful but the fabric was really thin, the top is hard to keep structured like it is in the picture it just kept flopping around, and finally the the fit was way off. The bottom half fit great but the top was huge! I would not rent this again even in a smaller size.

Rented this for a holiday party but just couldn't manage to sort out the neckline, it wouldn't fall right as other people said. Other than that, the dress fit beautifully and true to size. I do wish I could've worn it!

I rented this dress for a January wedding. I loved the shape & color of it online, but it didn't quite work out for me to wear. Both sizes were a little snug in the waist and the collar was not what I expected. It was very "flappy" and didn't lay as nicely as it appears in the model photos. The color was beautiful and a little sparkly.
