I ordered both a size 38 and 40 , I am normally a size 0. The 38 fit nicely everywhere except my chest so I went with the 40 to make sure I'd be comfortable. There was a slight gap in the back with the size 40 but not noticeable to anyone except myself.

I lived wearing this dress. I've never worn a European size so figuring that out was a bit tricky. I read the reviews to find the correct size. It has a bit of give so it hugs your body nicely. I wore to a post Xmas work party and felt like it made a statement without being to revealing. The color is beautiful..its a teal with a leopard print. Sounds tacky but really is an incredible garment.

I rented this dress from the Las Vegas boutique for a fundraiser. It fit like a glove and it was so flattering. I normally wear a 2, but Versace runs small, so the 42 fit perfectly. It is like the perfect LBD without being boring B. It's sexy without showing too much skin. It was comfortable and I got a lot of compliments. I was crushed to send it back. I love, love, love this dress!

This dress fit perfectly! The cut outs very very different, but made the dress more interesting and I got a ton of compliments!! I did not wear shapewear but it is very tight so you may want to! Loved this dress and was sad to send it back!

I have relatively wide shoulders/upper back and narrow hips, so while it fit perfectly in the chest, it was a tad roomy in the hips/butt area. Something for similarly athletic builds to consider, and probably also those with larger busts relative to hips. The liner does not stretch at all, so also something to consider.

I am curvy so the 42 would not get over my hips consequently the 44 was the best fit however a little loose around my mid-section. I was hopeful I would be able to wear a regular bra but this dress warrants a strapless, no bra or stickies in my opinion. As you can see in the picture, even the low cut strapless bra kept peaking out. Overall beautiful dress, great fit, and flattering but for me personally, it was not a show stopper.

Dress runs small - wish they had the backup size of 44. Still loved it! Tall ladies - this dress is a great length.

I wore a slimshaper underneath as insurance. Try a zero-sodium diet for 2 weeks prior to event. Helps a lot to fit into the dress without bloated belly.

This dress is really awesome, exceeded my expectations! The fabric is obviously great quality (hate clingy&flimsy party dresses), color and pattern beautiful and the dress is really sexy without being at all slutty. The cutout allows you to wear a regular strapless bra or a slip. Only minor con I can think of is that the asymmetrical cut on the neckline created bit of "armpit fat" on the other side. Still, I think I'll be renting this again!

I wore this dress to my husband's birthday party at a club. I've never worn Versace before but it fit so well and made me feel like a rockstar! I was glad to have the backup size since the 42 was a bit tight. The 44 fit great: hugged all the right places and was a very nice length. The cutout up top was super cool. Didn't have any nip-slips! I used fashion tape just in case, which really wasn't necessary, but it gave me peace of mind to use it anyway. I'm not familiar with European sizes but it never hurts to follow the guidelines in selecting the right size for you. The free backup is also a great service to take advantage of if you're like me and might not be sure what your size is. In short, I loved it! One of the best rentals I've tried through RTR!

Great fit. Sexy but not over the top. My only problem was the strapless bra situation. I'm well endowed and this dress could not be worn with a regular bra. I had to keep pulling up my strapless bra, but that's typical for me unfortunately. I'd do it again in order to wear this beautiful dress.

Dress fit like a glove and was true to size. After reading reviews I was worried that my larger backup size wasn't available. I wore my normal size 4 and it was a perfect fit. The dress fits snugly but comfortably. Worked very well with my hourglass shape. This dress shoes off your shape to the max but is very tasteful.

Fits true to size, I'm 5'6 126 lbs - bra back size is 34/36. The dress fit great, I wore a strapless push up bra and used a small piece of double sided tape to keep the bra from showing. It was a little difficult to zip the back (the zipper doesn't go straight up, its a zig-zag) - but once up, the dress fits like a glove. It was comfortable to sit, eat and move in. This was my first time renting and not my original choice, but so glad I wore this. Absolutely loved it and the RTR customer service is phenomenal. Would recommend this dress and will definitely rent from RTR again. Thank you!!!

The dress was beautiful, sexy and tasteful at the same time. Great structure and very well made. The offset, triangle cutout was a knockout feature. Compliments all night long! The european sizing runs a little small, so size up for your backup!

This dress fits like a dream! Truly flattering! I would definitely rent this again for another party! Wore a great push-up bra and spanx. This was my first RTR experience and it was great! I even had a D-list celebrity tell me I looked beautiful. I felt like I fit in at a party with lots of famous LA types (which I am not one)

This dress is really fun--I rented it for a theatre award ceremony, and my nominated show was "Rock of Ages" so I wanted an 80s rock vibe. The cut and fabric were perfect, but I mistakenly ordered a 42, which was NEVER going to fit. The only backup size was a 48, which was fine, but way too large around the belly and hips. Fit pretty well on top, but still needed a little dress tape. I'm a pretty solid 6, so a 44 would have been better.

I normally wear between a 4 and a 6 depending on designer. I did size up on this one per the notes and suggestions. The 44 might have been good and a bit more fitted, but this worked too. I should have worn more of a demi cup bra to avoid my Lacey bra peeking out which was annoying. Other than that great dress!

This dress is absolutely gorgeous, but I wish I had listened to previous renters and ordered MUCH larger. I rented my size and 1 size up, and I was still wishing I had a bigger size. It fit and looked fine, but I couldn't breathe as well as I would have hoped to. :) I wore this to an outdoor wedding so I paired it with wedges, and I received a ton of compliments. Really great dress and comfortable material... just order bigger than you expect you need!

Pros: Comfortable, fun but subtle print, the cutout is sexy but not over the top and easy to wear. Cons: I had to go up a size because I have a bigger chest, but then the hips were a bit big, and didn't lay as smoothly as I would have preferred. Note: I wore the size 6 equivalent which was in great shape - the size four equivalent was in good shape as well, but had some more obvious signs of wear in comparison (inner hanger threads were snipped out, and the signature Versace gold button was missing at the top of the zipper). Not a big deal, but it was nice to wear the one that still had the little signature button! All in all, a terrific dress. If it fits you well, you will look like a million bucks and because its so comfortable, you wont be suffering to do it!

This was not a dress I would have normally picked. I usually go for black and simple but saw this and figured I would try it out on a whim. This dress is just gorgeous. The color, the fit, the length, the style are all perfect. Truly a sexy dress! I am small and normally wear XS or the smallest size but I did have to wear the size 40 in this. I wear a 32a/aa (i'm flat as a board) and the chest area on the 38 simply was far too small and tight. I would recommend sizing up for this one. Will for sure rent this beauty again!

Sadly, I didn't get to wear this dress but it is a sassy stunner. The size 48 unfortunately was big on me but will keep this on my list for a future rental.

The original dress I rented for a black tie New Year's wedding was damaged, so Rent the Runway had a stylist contact me and set me up with about 5 different options to find something that worked. The stylist included this in my bag, and I thought there was no way it would fit my style. The dress was awesome, fit great, and the pattern was far more subtle and luxurious in person - not cheesy at all. The style actually fit my large bust well and the cut out added an interesting element that wasn't too risque for a wedding. I had a great time dancing, and ended up feeling perfectly dressed for the occasion. Who knew?

Slightly stretchy, but very fitted. It just fit in the bust, but thankfully had enough stretch to come in and show off my tiny waist. I have a 10 inch bust to waist ratio so buying dresses was hard. I wish I had a photo, but it was too dark.

Great fit. Lots of compliment. I didn't wear a bra due to the style of this dress. This was the back up dress for a rehearsal dinner which I ended up wearing for a New York bar hopping adventure.

This dress is great. The print is beautiful, the fabric is soft, the silhouette is sexy but not too much, the cutout on the front it interesting and modern. It's the perfect balance that you would expect from a designer dress. The only pitfall is the sizing is terribly small. I wore the 42 because I wouldn't have been able to get another size sent to me in time. I normally can wear a size 2 or 4 and RTR has the 42 listed as equivalent to a size 4. It was so tight I had to suck in and hold my breath so my husband could zip up the dress and the dress would creep up a bit when I walked. The bottom fit well but it was very tight on top which is odd because I have a very small bust - I am between an A and B cup. But bottom line - if I could get it in a larger size I would definitely rent it again. Gorgeous dress!

Loved this dress! I am petite, size 0, 105lbs and had to wear the size 40. I got so many compliments; it was sexy and classy at the same time and I felt great in it. The length hit me just above the knee so I pinned it up a little. As always, RTR provides women with an option to have a dress you may not be able to afford but can make you feel so good and confident at any occasion. Their customer service was very helpful with all my questions and concerns too.

Ladies, SIZE UP per everyone's suggestions! There is absolutely no give in the lining of this dress. I ordered what would be a size 6 (I usually wear a 4), and I could barely eek it over my body. I probably need an equivalent "size 10" which is unheard of for me. The dress is stunning, the fabric obviously high-quality, the print and cut are classy with some edge. I will most definitely be re-ordering this... just in a MUCH larger size.

If you are a D cup or bigger -- this will give you LOTS of cleavage. I thought it would be cut higher, but it wasn't. I loved it, but was constantly adjusting.

I'm smaller on top than on the bottom. The fit was great standing up not moving much but it did creep up a bit when moving. It was comfortable and the cut out is fun without being revealing but my bra did stick out of the cut out a bit at times depending on how the dress shifted.

Fit was true to size. Got it to wear on vacation, but I don't like the pattern.
