Received tons of compliments on the fit and fabric. Rented during colder season so wore with layering. Would be perfect for a wedding for fancy event. Great fit. Not right on hips. Has boning structure around chest. Only note is that the straps are not adjustable in any way so needed to use some pins so not too loose.

The pattern and silhouette of this Ulla Johnson dress are absolutely beautiful. I wore it to a Broadway show, and it was perfect for the occasion — effortlessly elegant yet comfortable. It runs slightly large at the top, so I will rent a size 6 next time.

Wedding was “festive semi formal” and this was absolutely perfect! I’m a bit smaller in the chest area, so the straps were definitely too long, but other than that it was such a fun dress to wear and I got so many compliments!

Fits true to size. I’m a C cup and don’t need a bra. Despite the big skirt, still feels light and easy to dance in. Will be renting again. The only thing to note is that wearing the strap cross in the back (as opposed to the front) was not comfortable and less supportive.

I’m usually a size 6 but got the 4. Was snug but worked with the open front. Wore this to a wedding in south america. Festive and colorful!

I’m typically a 10/L in dresses and it was perfect and so comfy. Ruffles hide all of the lumps and curves and the top was perfect. I’m a 34D and it fit perfectly! I wore the straps crossed in the front instead of behind the neck.

True to size, I am 5 2" and 112 lb and the 0 fit perfectly, did not even need to wear a bra. Had to spend some time steaming out the ruffles since this is a cotton fabric, but otherwise wore to a wedding and got a ton of compliments on it! Highly recommend. The zipper easily gets stuck on the interior zipper lining though so be careful when zipping on & off!

I wore the 2 and it fit great - I wore the straps crossed in the back as shown by the model but regret it - they dug into my shoulders this way. I wish I would have tried them crossed in the front. Otherwise beautiful dress and got tons of compliments.

I’m 5’4”, 34DD and about 145lbs. I ended up going with size 10. As others have reviewed the straps and top run on the larger side but I crossed the straps on the front, as others have, and the dress worked better. It was a bit heavy to wear for dancing but that did not stop me. Lol. Beautiful dress, beautiful construction. Being that I’m on the shorter side, dress looked better when I was wearing my heals…I did change into adidas gazelles later which I felt wasn’t as great with the dress, but couldn’t stand the heals for too long. Fun dress, yes, but given my height, I probably would not rent the dress again.

Rented as a one time rental and sized down. Was still too big. Straps aren't adjustable so keep that in mind. The bottom was fine but the upper part was way too wide and could have fit two sizes up. Was also a lot busier than I thought it would be with the ruffles and pattern

Wore this for a wedding and loved it. The waist was a good size but you may want to size up if you have a larger chest. Straps were slightly long, but unlike other reviews I found that the dress stayed up better when the straps were crossed in back. I did spend time ironing out the wrinkles but it was worth it. Wish I could keep it!

This dress is so fun and stunning. I originally got a size 8 but luckily got a size 10 for back up. The size 10 was more flattering on my body however the straps were too loose. It was an easy fix by tucking the straps into the dress and wearing it as a strapless. The top part of the dress has some boning in it making it feel secure. Overall, very comfortable and beautiful.

I felt like a knockout in this dress! The dress code for the wedding was cocktail and I loved how chic, classy, and sexy it was for the event.

I wouldn't normally wear such a bold pattern, but I loved this dress!! the thin straps were a little long for me, but the bodice fit well enough that it stayed in the right place.

Another reviewer said the dress ran small and to size up so I got 1 size up and it’s huge. Get your normal size. The dress is absolutely gorgeous though!

I have this issue with a lot of RTR items - I have a true hourglass figure and dresses will fit everywhere else (or even be too big) but the issue is around the bust. My frame widens from the shoulders to the top of the rib cage/underneath the bust and unless there's some kind of stretch, it won't fit right. I absolutely loved this dress and wore it out twice while on vacation even though I wasn't thrilled with the way the top looked (it was obvious it was too small on the chest). It looks expensive (because it is lol) and I got tons of compliments. I rented it because it reminded me of the dress Beyonce wore in her "Hold Up" video and I always adored that look.

This dress was great for a spring wedding. The material is thick and heavier than I imagined.. maybe not as much movement as I expected, but still a great dress. I got the 4, with the 6 as my backup size.. the 4 was a little snug but the 6 was way too big. If between sizes I'd recommend going with the smaller size

Unlike the photo, this dress is actually quite thick and heavy. It is not silky or gauzy. I received many compliments on this dress as it was unique with a wonderful pattern and color. I love the top part and the neckline, I give that five out of five stars. My only issue is that because the bottom has so many ruffles that wrinkle easily I had to flat iron them all out for the dress to be wearable. In photos, it makes the lower part of your body appear much more voluminous, like a ball gown, which was a nice effect but I was not expecting that. I felt like it made me look like a thicker person than I am. Super comfortable, no special undergarments required.

This dress was super cute. I wore it to work but I did have to keep pulling it up as it felt like it was falling. The straps also dig in to the back of your shoulders so I’ve seen photos of people wearing it with the straps crossed in the front which does seem to solve that problem. This dress was also fine to wear at work but I went to a confer after and it felt like it was difficult to breathe in. I probably should have gotten a size 10 but they didn’t have it. The 8 fit and I had zero issues zipping it up but it was definitely hard to inhale at times.

Top is weird, I have a small bust and it wasn’t flattering. Could have been fine but I didn’t feel great in it.

I got this for a Kentucky Derby party and went up a size based on reviews. The ruffles are very puffy. I ironed them down and they still stuck out so far. The straps don't tighten either. I safety pinned them to make them shorter but in the end, I just didn't wear it. It was very unflattering.

Other dresses by this brand fit perfectly but this couldn’t zip up. Could be a fluke/ wash/dry situation.
