I loved this dress- it is far more detailed and beautiful in person. It has layers of appliqués and embroidery. It was a thin cotton which surprised me, but it still felt very well made. It isn't especially flattering- it's just a straight box without much shape. I didn't mind- and I got lots of compliments from women but my husband thought it was unflattering.

I tend towards the flamboyant and picked this for a more conservative setting while not completely sacrificing my love of patterns. The fabric feels great perfect for fall. The appliqués are cute and fun but not over the top. I'm pretty straight and narrow with a flat chest and a bit broad through the ribcage and shoulder in comparison to the rest of my body. I usually wear a size 2 but I followed RTR 's advice and opted for the 4 and I'm glad I did. #fall

This dress was so unique, I got compliments all day. The fabric was so soft and gorgeous but wrinkled easily. This dress was so cute, I didn't care a bit!

This dress is very unique. I love the fabric and unique detail. I had to wear it with a belt. It looked awful without it. It's a gorgeous dress. Cute Tory buttons. Great for work. I'm usually a 4 or 6. The 2 worked fine.

Lots of compliments on this silky and Flowy shirt dress. The compliments were from the designs in the dress.... a combination of bold streaks and whimsical words (poetry, things). This fit is very conservative... excellent for any professional setting or decorum that requires subtly but style.

Beautiful, fun work dress! Tory Burch does it again, this is flowy and flattering. I'm between an 8 and 10 and the 8 fit like it was supposed to. Only cons- it's a little heavy, I sort of regret wearing it on an 80 degree day. But it was so cute I didn't really mind. Also, the patches spell out "poetry of things" randomly on the dress and the "of things" fell right on the side of my butt. My boyfriend commented that I had words on my butt. This is not a deterrent, it was just worth noting, in case a noticeable print isn't your thing.

I rented this dress for work. Obviously the print and colors are quite bold, but there is also a lot going on with different textures, which I wasn't expecting from the pictures. The big purple flower feels sort of like a carpet. I was also expecting the dress to be silkier, but it's more like cotton (Viscose takes many forms) I'm usually between a 2 and a 4. I went with a 2, since it's a looser style. Was a little fitted in the shoulders and bust but still had plenty of room everywhere else Ok dress. Just not my style

Such an easy breezy style. Wore with flats since I was on the go all day. Heels would totally level up the sophistication. Minimal accessories (just earrings) because the dress does all the talking. As an added bonus, tons of compliments on this one!

I would recommend sizing up at least one size in this dress. I usually wear a 14 in dresses but this was too tight across my bust and hips, which was disappointing because I had a crush on this dress for a longgggg time. I was very disappointed but if I ever lose weight then I will be retrying this!!

So, the word THINGS was on my butt...haha! Oh and it arrived soaking wet thanks to FedEx leaving it on my porch open to the elements during a rain storm. But other than that, the dress was an interesting print, comfortable and cute for work. Not sure I'd rent again but liked it for the one time I wore it!

The first thing I saw when I opened the dress was the word "Poetry" in large letters on the front of the dress. I didn't notice it in the picutre on the model but there were other words on the fabric too, the placement is probably different on every piece though depending on the cut of fabric. Aside from the poetry letters, this dress fit was really small through the hips and arms. I was really surprised by this because it looks like a shift dress in the picture. Unfortunately I couldn't wear this one and had to return.

It was frumpy and not flattering. It was also way too long on my 5'4'' frame and the item I received seemed to be faded.
