The dress fit well. It was not tight so it was very flattering in the midsection. The color was beautiful. I wore it to a Mardi Gras party.

Beautiful dress! Was hesitant at first because the pockets hip right at the hips and I felt like they were adding a bit of unwanted volume. Once the pockets are tucked flat against your body you don't even notice them, but it's nice that they're there! I actually received this dress as a substitution for another dress I had ordered, and loved it even more than the one I originally picked. Fits true to size, length was classy without feeling too frumpy, and very easy to dress up depending on the event that you're wearing it for. Color is true to what is shown in the model photo as well.

Simple dress, a bit shapeless and the pockets add a little bit of bulk but felt so pretty and classy. Loved the look and could have really done more with accessories and colored shoes but kept simple.

Rented this for my mother-in-law's small, March wedding. I'm 7 wks postpartum in this photo (5'2", roughly 145 lbs, and still rocking the mom pooch). What I liked most about this was that it had some shape without clinging to my body. The color is vibrant without being too bold; like a dark raspberry purple. It also has POCKETS. Maybe it's just me, but being able to have pockets is important, whether it's to stash my phone, tissues, toy car, pacifier ... definitely keeping this on my favorites list for future rentals. I think it would work year round, dressed up and down.

I'm running for elected office and my wardrobe needed a boost. RTR Unlimited is a great help. I chose this dress in my first order and I'm so glad I did! I wore it in a photo/video shoot, packed it to a wedding, and pulled it out of my carry-on to put on when I had to head to this event with Senators Booker and Cantwell right after landing. It doesn't wrinkle, it's flattering, and it has pockets! I'd worn and loved Trina Turk dresses before, but never this style. I'm a DD and was a little worried that it would be tight around the chest but it wasn't. I typically wear a 10, and the L was perfect. Highly recommend!

I got a lot of compliments on this dress. The color is a beautiful shade of purple and I loved the asymmetrical hem and of course the pockets.

After reading the reviews i thought i might be comfortable in the small. Too much holiday eating proved me wrong! The medium still hung on my hips/rear (thanks Mom for the genes of a large butt!) I wore with tights, boots and a jacket to see John Oliver stand up show. I would rent again (anytime you give me pockets, I'm in love!)

This was my "safety" dress in case the one I really wanted didn't fit. Loved it immediately. Like most RTR dresses, the textiles were heavy and looked rich/deep. Pockets!!! The angle cut at the bottom is just the perfect trim to make legs stand out. At 38, my knees aren't my fave unless my thighs also show, if that makes sense. So the midi length was great. Got a lot of complimemts

Since I'm technically hourglass shaped, but still trying to lose a baby pouch, it's sometimes hard to find a flattering fit. This dress was perfect. It gave me a nice shape without showing all the lumps and bumps. The asymmetrical hem was fun, and cut just high enough on the side to give it a little spice without being inappropriate. The neckline was super flattering too, and the pockets were an awesome addition! I got so many compliments on this dress and in this dress. Would definitely rent again!

I chose this dress because I was going to a conservative wedding that required a lot of coverage and little skin exposure. I had a jacket that I wore over the dress at the wedding, but I did not wear the jacket in the picture so you could see the fit of the dress. I am a 36DD and a size 14 and I fit into the Large very comfortably. The dress comes with pockets and it is slimming! It hid my pesky fat bulges and looked chic. The purple is darker than the picture. It's more of a dark plum/eggplant color in real life. The bottom is satin. I'm 4'11" so I had to wear 5 inch heels to make the dress longer on my short body, but anyone who is of normal height won't have that problem.

I wore this dress twice before returning it. I rented a medium as it does not stretch, as I didn't get a back up. May have been able to go with a small. Very loose and comfortable dress. Worked great from a networking party I went to and for the theater. Paired one day with high wedges and with metallic heels the next. Great dress!

This dress runs big, so definitely go a size down for back up. It's not fitted and has no stretch, but since it is slightly big, it is comfortable throughout. A standard bra and seamless underwear should be worn underneath. The best part about the dress is that it has pockets!

I wore this for Easter and received several compliments. I noticed several other women wearing this same color so apparently I made a popular choice! One star taken off because I didn't like the pockets, it just added material to an already voluminous skirt area, but YMMV

Fit perfectly and was not too tight. Pockets were amazing. XL was perfect as it wasn't too tight to pull at the waist. I could've gotten away with a L but would've needed spanx for a smooth finish. I would love to own this dress.

Picking this up out of the garment bag I wondered what I had ordered, but it looked beautiful on. I definitely have hips and am a pear, and it hung in all the right places. Loved the uneven hem line and conservative top.

Very flattering cut and easy to wear! Flew from CA to MD with this dress folded in a bag, this material doesn't wrinkle or crease! Easy to wear a normal bra, hides straps and doesn't accentuate undergarment lines. The dress includes pockets which was very handy to store my phone for easy access picture taking. My favorite parts of the dress were the color, it is so vivid and rich, also the way it had a flounce when I walked/danced adding a little sassiness!

I rented this during the early stages of pregnancy when clothes are feeling snug, but didn't want to bring attention to a growing belly and naturally have huge hips. This dress was fantastic. It was comfortable enough for me to dance with my toddler, hide my problem areas, the color and cut made it perfect for an outdoor wedding. I usually wear Spanx with most dresses for a "smoother" look. This dress didn't need it. It is a little on the long side; the end of the dress hit my mid calf. I got an XL and no one could see the belly. If I wasn't pregnant, I would have gotten an L.

This dress was perfect for my event. I had to present an award at an evening event that was semi-formal and this dress was both elegant and sophisticated. I paired it with a stack of gold bangles, a very simple long gold necklace and neutral heels. The pockets are a fun touch and I received so many compliments on the color. I would recommend this dress even for a more formal occasion. I think it's extremely versatile.

The material was a little thick for the warm room I was in but the fit was good, concealed just enough without looking like a big bag. Pretty color and it has big pockets!

It was a little big so I wore a skinny yellow belt with it and it looked great. The hemline is super sassy and fun. Beautiful, rich color is stunning on and off camera, the neckline is flattering and there is zero maintenance to stay looking fabulous all day!

I ordered the XL with the L as my backup. The XL was very roomy and comfortable, but the L fit me better. The neck on the back of the dress is pretty high and did not sit flat so I recommend wearing your hair up to avoid all the snagging. The best feature of the dress are the pockets! As others noted, the dress material does not have stretch, so be sure to order a back up as well so you can compare the fit. Loved my first dress order from RTR but with one exception. The XL arrived appearing clean, however, the armpit areas were caked with deodorant. I ended up not wearing the XL due to fit, but it's always good to check the condition of the dress before trying it on!
