I ordered the 2 and the 4 and went with the 2. The fit was snug up top but not uncomfortable. Lots of compliments throughout the night - the dress fit in perfectly for a formal Christmas party at an NYC nightclub.

The dress fit relatively well! I was very happy and impressed with rent the runway! The quality is very good and came in perfect condition. It was a little big on top compared to the bottom but nothing noticeable.

This is a beautiful dress and I felt great in it all night. Because I am short, I did have to take up the sleeves and hem with temporary fashion tape. If not, it would have overpowered me and even could have looked a bit matronly. The shorter hem gave it just the right amount of sass but was still classy. The sash needed to be ironed and I had a hard time getting the bow right, and felt like I was fussing with it all night. This dress looks black in the pictures but is really a very deep blue- pretty!

I decided to wear this dress without the sash (although it was very cute). I sang for a legislative appreciation banquet (850 people) and needed something sassy but conservative. The long sleeves were wonderful for a January event (no need to tan!!) and the length was just sassy enough. I wore black open toed shoes and they complimented the outfit perfectly. I didn't have to wear any spanks because the weight of the dress hid any flaws. LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress!

I absolutely loved this dress. It's a heavy material, but is actually not very hot to wear or difficult to move around in. It is a lot more of a navy blue than it looks in the photos, and it is GORGEOUS. This was an amazing dress!

I wore this dress to a military ball. This dress is very comfortable and flattering with normal women's sizing. I highly recommend ironing the belt (on a low setting) before wearing. The whole look of the dress was better after I ironed the belt. The dress photographs wonderfully. The dress is a little heavy so I suggest this for a fall or winter event. I added the Kendra Scott Nyla earrings too. Enjoy!

Since the dress is head/toe sequins it has a liner which made the fit a little snug. Still looked great on. When ordering a backup size I would suggest going up vs down in size.

I thought this dress was absolutely amazing. I am usually a dress size 4, but wore my back up size 2 because the 4 was too big. If you're usually a 2 or smaller it will probably be too big!!! I got complements on my outfit all night. Great for making a statement.

The dress fit well, maybe just a little tight in the shoulders but not a big deal. It didn't come with the belt which would've made it more form-fitting and less boxy. Overall, I was really happy with this dress!

Wore this to a fundraising gala for my daughter's school. I was tired of searching the malls for something special so I decided to try RTR and I'm so glad I did!! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and feel of this dress. I didn't realize the sequins didn't lay flat if touched or rubbed. They flip to show the reverse sliver side allowing you to have different designs and adds more sparkle. This didn't bother me but could be something unwanted if you didn't know ahead of time and feel like you are constantly "fixing" the sequins. I'm really glad I got two dresses to try on to compare the fit. I have wider hips and a smaller bust. I got sizes 10 and 12. The size 12 fit perfectly in the hips but my top was completely too loose. The 10 (that I ended up wearing) fit perfectly on the top but was really tight on the bottom but it wasn't anything a pair of Spanx couldn't fix. ;) However, it was a bit uncomfortable sitting because the skirt was a bit too short. The black belt added a cute touch but the dress could easily be worn without it and still look great. I would recommend this dress if sheath style dress work for your body type. You'll get lots of compliments!

I had to go with my backup size 10 since the 8 didn't zip up my upper back. But I have a very wide back. Wearing the bigger size meant the sleeves hung long, and the fit was pretty loose. It is covered with little sequins that flip up when you sit, so I had to smooth them back down or risk looking as if my dress had some bare patches. Overall, a very nice dress.

wore it to a banquet and really enjoyed it ... got lots of compliments ... having sleeves was a nice touch (that way not cold in the banquet room)

This dress was sent to me as an emergency back up when my chosen dress was not available. While I love Trina Turk, this dress did not work with my body type. The sash actually made my waist look bigger.

The only thing I disliked about this dress was its lack of shape on the body. This dress made me look very square, I wish it would have shown my curves more.

The dress was stunning and very comfortable! I received so many compliments. I am fairly tall, but the length was not a problem in this dress. I opted for the size 10 over the size 8 due to the 8 being a bit tight in the bust area for me. Great dress!

Very cute dress but a little short.

This was a great dress and I got many compliments on it throughout the evening. I love the sparkles. One of the reasons I rented it was because many people said that it was warm. I'm always cold at events so this dress was perfect for a really cold winter night. I'm petite (4'11'') so the two problems I had with the dress were that the top was little too big and the length a little short but I expected both since I read other reviews. I would still rent the dress again.

I wore this for a chamber music recital i performed in. I absolutely loved the dress! It wasnt too short, which i liked. Also, I"m 5'3'', which is probably why it wasn't too long on me.

I wore this for a gala I attended with my boss. It was perfect. It was fun and showed off my curves yet it wasn't too bare. I felt very comfortable and appropriately dressed.

I usually wear a 10 in pants and a 12 in tops (large bust -34DDD). The 10 fit like it was made for me, the 12 was way too big. There is a large difference between sizes, and plenty of room in the bust. Definitely runs true to size. Wore black patent heels, and loved the mystery bling. Perfect, perfect, perfect. As a side note, the color is sort of between a navy and a black. Would look good with charcoal accessories as well.

Beautiful dress, nicely lined and sequins all over. It is a heavy weight, but worked perfectly for the winter wedding I attended. It does need a belt, which was not included.

I liked this dress. It was cute online but was sent without the sash. Without it the dress is a bit doudy IMO so I wasn't able to wear it. I did find that the bottom ran small (or mine runs large heh heh) and the top ran a bit larger so it was good for a busty girl. It's very well made and honestly I would have loved to wear it. RTR did refund me due to the mistake.

The dress is very sparkly but did not wow me. The shape is somewhat boxy, even with the sash cinched in I looked very thick-waisted. The sleeves were too short slightly but that's to be expected for me. The dress is somewhat stiff, so trying to shoot pool was impossible without tearing or hiking up the skirt part. The neckline is elegant. Description said black I think, but it's definitely a dark blue and when the sequins flip over they are silver so people were constantly trying to figure out what was wrong with the dress. Overall it was good but not great. Also, don't forget that they have until 8PM to deliver the dress on your "first day" of rental; I had to leave at 5PM for the first party so missed the delivery; had hoped to wear this two days (my fault).

I rented this dress for my cousins wedding and got several compliments but it was not as flattering as I would have liked. I'm 5'8 and on the curvier side, and this dress is more suited to someone with a smaller chest and hips. If you have an athletic or narrow figure this would be a great dress!

I wore this to my company's Christmas party, and someone later told me it had the perfect amount of sparkly without looking too cheesy. It looks a little too long without the belt, but the belt will cinch it right up. Loved it!

This was my backup dress. I wanted the option of sleeves and tights for a cold winter night. The 2 was very roomy . Even with the belt tied, it was a little shapeless. I thought it was a good conservative choice, but my husband said it looked like a trashbag! So....I wore my other dress!

The dress fit well and would be perfect for a cold weather event which is what I planned to wear it to. It runs a tiny bit big. Thank goodness for that. The color actually has a blue iridescence to it. It probably would have been pretty but the sash was missing from the box so I couldn't wear it. Thank goodness I got the backup dress. Otherwise, everything with RTR went very smoothly.

This dress is beautiful... The only problem I had with it was that the belt loops were missing from the size 2 so I did not wear the sash with it. The 4 had them and kept the sash right were it should be, but the dress was just too big.

I probably should have gotten this dress in a 10, but I have wide shoulders and was nervous since it was long sleeved, so I played it safe and got the 12 (since this was my back up I could only get one size). Because it was a little big, it bunched oddly on the back of the neck, but that was a size issue not a dress issue. The dress was flatteing, and it was just flashy enough without being over the top. My one complaint is that the dress was a little restrictive. It felt fine on but I could lift my arms up above my shoulders. Made for some awkward dancing.

I sadly didn't get a chance to wear this dress, but I loved it!! Pros: total statement. Funky color. Love the ribbon. Great length - about mid-thigh and I'm 5'8" Cons: felt a little boxy. The shoulders of the dress were a tad bit too broad.

The dress was a bit snug. The overall look is very pretty, but the material is not flexible and does not have any give, so by the end of the night, it was a bit uncomfortable. I would recommend going a size up and cinching the waist in with the belt, which you can adjust. I think it would be more comfortable and allow you to move without feeling so constricted.

I'm normally a 10 or 12 so I ordered this for NYE in a 12 (my backup size wasn't available) and it was a little big. I'm broad in the shoulders and this made my shoulders look huge since it's a little bit of a boat neck and I'm small in the bust so this had a lot of room in the bust. It could have worked one size smaller especially since the sash comes unattached and can be tied as tightly as needed. Overall this would be a good dress for hourglass figures without broad shoulders and average sized busts.

The dress is beautiful, but there isn't a lot of give. The sequins are much shiny-er and brighter than shown in the picture, imagine more metallically. I ended up returning.

I was so excited to rent this dress with all its glitz and glam. I ordered a 12 and a 10 since I read the reviews that it ran large. I fell right in between sizes. The 12 looked like I was swimming in it to the point where the back of the dress was gaping from my neck. The 10 however was sooooo tight and unflattering on my hips. I think that this may work for a straight shape that wants to create and hourglass shape with the large sash. It was also very heavy and uncomfortable for the 10 minutes I had it on. Definitely a no-go for summer or anytime it's warm outside. My backup dress saved me from this one!

Honestly, i ended up returning it. The fit was so ODD. Like too big on top and just too small on the bottom. I had a huge gap in the back by where the zipper zipped up. I wouldn't recommend for anyone with ANY bit of curves.

This has been my favorite dress. Long sleeved for a winter office party. The fit was perfect and even though it didn't come with the sash/belt it didn't need it.
