This dress prompted numerous comments from the other men in the wedding telling my husband that his wife is a "smoke show". This dress is very flattering, classy coming at you and sexy walking away. The band for the empire waist fits quite snugly around the rib cage just under the bust and the skirt flows to about four inches above the knee. Perfect length for the hot August weather in VT. You will need garment tape to secure the chest on the strapless side. The double band strap across the back is very secure and adjustable with three buttons. Classy, unique and sexy. This dress looked even better on than I hoped. I got tons of compliments; it was very slimming and I loved the dark navy color. My only complaint is the waist is VERY, verrry tight and unforgiving, it felt like a corset. The top is also pretty loose if you don't have much to fill it out. I had many almost nip slips (definitely wished I used dress tape). It was wearable though, just not too comfy, definitely order up a size and buy dress tape. Overall I was really happy with it.

I never got so many compliments! The dress fit perfect! I wear a size 6 and I ordered a 6 and and 8 b/c I read that the waist/bust runs tight on the rib cage. It is true that it has no give, but I'm a 34 B so it fit fine! The material was lightweight and comfortable. I did wear a "braza" which I ordered from this site and had to put double sided tape which I ordered from here too. The dress came with a little pull on the zipper, so I called customer service in the evening and they overnighted me another one which I got in the morning! So quick! The dress was truly a hit! So simple, classy with a sexy back!

This was a beautiful dress. Rich, dark blue color and lovely movement. I will echo what other reviewers have said about the waistband - it is a tight fit. I had to have help with the zipper but once it was up it didn't feel uncomfortable. The adjustable straps around the back also made it possible for me to not need any fashion tape. The dress stayed where it was supposed to through dancing, toasting and lots of hugging! The length on my short frame was just right - it hit above my knee. Overall, I couldn't have been happier. I would highly recommend this dress.

This dress is amazing! Some of the reviews said the waistline fits small, but I thought it fit right up to par, and I ended up choosing the smaller size because it meant I didn't need double stick tape. The material is beautiful, the fit is fantastic, and the back is stunning. Couldn't recommend it more! So sad to see it go!

I got a ton of complements on this dress, nobody could believe it was actually rented! I usually wear a size 0 and although I ended up wearing the 0 in this dress it really was a toss-up between the 0 & the 2. i chose to go with the 0 in spite of the almost too-tight waist because the 2 was just too big on the top. I also used fashion tape to stick the left side of the dress to my chest to make sure the dress stayed in place & it worked perfectly. Overall, great dress that I'd definitely recommend to a friend.

I loved this dress. The fit was a little snug around my waste, but my rib cage is a little wide for my size, so that may have been what caused the tightness. Otherwise, a great fit for someone who is smaller.

I would recommend this dress to anyone a thousand times over. My friend actually convinced me to rent this as a 2nd option for a wedding we were going to. I was skeptical and didnt think it was my style especially since the friend who recommended it has totally different taste then me. I loved this dress right when I put it on. It is so flattering. The back is beautiful, the length is perfect and appropriate (I'm 5'8, it was mid-thigh) I loved the deep blue color. It was so comfortable to wear to an outdoor south beach wedding. Everything about this dress is perfect. I will probably rent it again for another nice occasion I have to go to.

I usually wear a size 4 or a 6 - but the waist band on this dress has no give to it and ran very small. I had to send the 4 and 6 back and order an 8 so that I could breathe. Other than that, I loved the dress and got lots of compliments on it. You will have to either go braless or wear one of those backless bras with the adhesive sides.

I love the color of this dress, the fit was great and to my surprise it had pockets! I will say I did have to wear some fashion tape to keep from having a side boob accident. The material is thick enough to wear I felt comfortable going to bra-less. I am very petite (5'1) and I was still able to adjust the straps enough for it to fit my small frame. All in all it was good experience with Rent the Runway.

Fits true to size. There are buttons on the straps to make is adjustable but they are visible and slightly distracting. You can't wear a strapless bra with this dress but sticky bras work perfectly! I completely recommend this dress!

I loved this dress because it could have been dressed up or down. You could wear it with a cute pair of casual wedges, or to a date party or night out with a sleek pair of stilettos. It's navy, but looks black in the dark, so accessories were easy! Definitely a great dress, and my friends loved it!

I wore this dress for my college graduation and it was perfect. It's classy for a graduation but still really cute. I live in FL so the open back and length of the dress were great and I wasn't too hot.

This dress is amazingly gorgeous in person! This photo does not do it justice! The blue is so rich and beautiful in person. And the fit is amazing! I rented this one for my best friend for her bachelorette as a surprise. She is a zero, 5'6" and it fit true to size. The back of this dress is the real surprise and so sexy! Perfect for a wedding, first date or girls night out!

I wore this dress for my four year anniversary with my boyfriend this past weekend and I fell in love! This was my first rental from RTR and I couldn't have been more pleased. The dress fit true to size and I'm so happy they offer a secondary dress free of charge in a different size because that's the one I wore! The back is unique and easy to manage and the fabric was light and comfortable. Definitely perfect for a date or a less formal special event.

Wore it for NYE 2012. Dress fit as other reviewers described, tight around the torso and somewhat loose in the bust. The back straps rested loosely on my shoulder blades and back and was very sexy. Its very open and shows off that sexy side. Perfect length for me. I am 5'3" and it hit just past my finger tips with arms at the side. The cut in the front is very unique, not the standard one shoulder cut. Got asked a few times who I was wearing and got a ton of compliments from both men and women.

This dress was awesome!! I wore it for new years so I added a sparkly belt. It runs small because the waist band doesn't have any give. So if you are in between sizes then you will probably end up wearing the bigger one. It does end up being a short dress if you have long legs.

I ordered the size 4 b/c my waist is 27". The size 4 waist band is exactly 27" in diameter. There was no stretch in the waist band so i got lucky. The dress is short, especially for those of us in our 30's...so I paired it with black stockings with the black stripe down the back of the leg. I got so many compliments on the dress! It's very flattering...just make sure you order the right size.

This dress is definitely perfect for an hourglass shape. Your bust and hips should be similar, and your waist needs to be very small in order to wear it. I ordered a 2 and 4, but the 2 was just waaaaay too snug. The 4 fit great, and I got a ton of compliments. If you're going to be outdoors- word of caution the material is flimsy and will blow up with any slight wind. I think I flashed an entire street whilst taking photos outdoors for a wedding party. Awesome.

Wore this for my rehearsal dinner (RTR Bridal First Dance Headband) and felt like a princess the whole night. The color is a stunning deep navy blue, and the fabric is light, silky, and elegant. As every other reviewer has commented, the waistband runs pretty tight. It definitely adds to a flattering silhouette, but keep that in mind if your torso is larger for your size.

I loved this dress! The color and material were really flattering. The only issue for me personally, was there was no give AT ALL in the waist band. The waist on the dress was a little higher than my actual waist so it was tight on my ribs, even the larger size. Besides that it was great.

This dress was gorgeous and I got a lot of compliments on it, but I wasn't sold on it when I first tried it on. The waistband on my normal size fit me perfectly, but I'm flat-chested so it was pretty big around my boobs. You can't really wear a bra because of the back, so I was worried about it. Thank goodness for sticky tape, which prevented any unfortunate nip slips!

The dress was a gorgeous navy blue color, and a comfortable light material. I'm always a '2', and this dress fit everywhere except in the chest. I ended up having to go without a bra and lots and lots of fashion tape to make sure it stayed up! But I got so many compliments on the dress, especially the back! Would definitely recommend.

I wore this dress on a trip to Vegas. Warning: the waist band is REALLY tight. I'm usually a 2 or a 4 and the 4 was really snug. That said, it looked sexy and amazing. It required a little bit of dress tape in the front, but that was no biggie. Loved the color and the fabric. i was sad to see it go.

On my frame the shoulder straps were a bit loose, so I did have to pin them both. I typically go between a 0 or 2 in dresses, for this dress the 0 fit me better. The waist was a bit tight, but still breathable. I would recommend this dress to anyone who wants to show some skin, but maintain a sophisticated look.

When I first got it I was a little apprehensive. The fabric wasn't what I thought, and the smaller size (8) fit, but not how I wanted it to. With a little tweaking, some fashion tape and safety pins, the 10 ended up working perfectly! The dress was really comfortable easy to move in. I couldn't wear heals with it though, it was way too short if I did (not that I mind, I can barely walk in them)! I'd been looking at this dress for a long time and I'm really glad I finally ordered it, it worked out great and was super easy to return, thanks RTR!

This dress photographs great. I love the concept for the dress but I had to have fashion tape to secure the sides. I also got a dress that had been worn about 100 times. there was a foundation stain on the shoulder and the fabric was wearing. So that was kind of weird. But people loved the dress and it wasn't too short at all for a tall girl like me, even in 5 inch heels. I'd wear it again if the dress was new and I got to try on the size 2 which they did not send me that I ordered as my back up.

I wore this to a friend's wedding and had a great night. It's a beautiful dress, classic color, and I received lots of compliments. But... I did worry about exposure on the dance floor. The waist is high and small and the bust area a little loose. Nothing some tape couldn't fix, but you may want to think twice if you plan on having a very active night.

I love the color of this dress, but it did not fit as well as I expected. I'm 5'9 and have a long torso, and the cut did not work for me. This dress would probably fit better on someone a little shorter. It fit awkwardly in the waist, hitting above my natural waistline. The strapless half didn't stay up very well, and I spent the whole night struggling to keep my strapless bra from showing.

The dress was very pretty. I had a little bit of an issue with the bust area being too big - had to use a lot of fashion tape! Other than that, it was perfect for my event and the back of the dress was very sexy.
