I adored this set. Unlike the shirt, the shorts are not oversized and are TTS. The elastic is in play (though not uncomfortable) so I would definitely not size down on the shorts. Shorts are see through but I wore this at home (for work from home and zoom) so wasn't an issue.

I rented this with the matching top. The shorts fit so amazing and the material is lightweight and perfect for summer. I saw that several other reviews mentioned that the shorts were sheer. Honestly a pair of nude skims and you are good to go.

Size down, they run big (I am sure), and they are probably meant to be loose. I have thin legs and no butt so I would have been upset if I got these any bigger. The size I got was great. I got the matching top and wore this together tied at the waist and it was adorable. I wore the shorts with bikini tops, crop tops, etc. Seersucker material and pockets. Really beachy and cute.
