I am typically a size 4 so I ordered a 4 but there was no size 2 or size 6 as an alternate, so I opted for the size 0. I was certain that I wasn't going to fit a 0, but since it was free, what the heck. The dresses arrived and when I tried on the size 4 it fit but was pretty roomy. With Spanx on, the size 0 actually fit but it did hug my body. I added my own dressy rhinestone belt from Anthropologie, antique jade and diamond bracelet and ring, and leopard print stillettos. I also rented Gerard Yosca Emerald Nouveau Drops earrings from RTR to wear with the dress. I tried the trick suggested by another renter of wearing the smaller size under a larger size to act as a slip. It totally works but I was pretty warm with both dresses on. Since the wedding I was attending was going to be in a warmer climate, I opted not to wear it that way and just wore the smaller sized one. Definitely do the Spanx with this dress. The unlined silk shows everything. The side ruching does provide a little coverage which is nice.

I loved the color! It was a great stand out color for my work holiday party. The dress worked especially well for my work holiday party because it wasn't too short and covered my shoulders as well... but still so trendy! I didn't like how straight through the hips it was... kinda squeezed my butt in. And this is definitely a dress to carefully choose your undergarments since there is no lining.

The color came out beautifully, it was very saturated and vibrant. Great if you have olive skin and brown hair like me. It doesnt look like much when you pull it out of the box because its been flattened, but as soon as you put it on it fills out and gets more volume. The fit is pretty snug through the hips. Also, this dress is 100% silk and its unlined so i would recommend spanx unless you have zero cellulite. Here was my solution to the problem: I ended up wearing the back up size underneath my normal size. Since I was between a 6 and an 8, I decided wearing both would basically be like wearing the perfect slip and help to alleviate some of the problems that come along with wearing thin silk. It came out great! Wearing both dresses at the same time may sound crazy, but it gave the dress even more volume and no offense to Thakoon, but I think it looked better that way! So the moral of the story is, 100% silk can be unforgiving, but with the right undergarments (spanx) or just wearing both dresses they send (at the same time) this dress really shines! I received many compliments on it.

Wore this dress to a wedding. My size was out so I got a size up (8) and a size down (4.) The 4 was snug and the 8 a bit loose so it is very true to size. I ended up wearing the 8 and belting it with a thin metal belt. It looked great! I got so many compliments. Beware, if you don't have the proper undergarments it will show. It is unlined silk. So spanx or a shaper will help, and reduce static.

Great dress and comfortable. I wore it for a new years party and received a number of compliments on it.

The color was very flattering. I added a turquoise belt for some definition in the waist. Material is prone to static and easily wrinkles. Snug in the hips, so you'll need to wear a thong. In spite of that, I felt the most beautiful I have felt in a long time.

This was my first rental from RTR. My measurements are 38-30-38. This dress fit me perfectly. I ordered it about a month before the destination wedding that I needed to attend. Dress arrived on time. I didn't wear spanx as I had sheer hose. The dress appears yellow online but its closer to warm gold. I'm african american so this color suited me perfectly and I received many compliments.I felt like a goddess in it. The only downside to this dress was a subtle dark mark on the hem. It might've been an ink stain (?) Not sure, in any event you couldn't really see it as it was faded. I would still rent from RTR again.

I rented this dress as my primary but went with the back-up dress instead. I loved, loved, loved the color and really wanted to like it more but the dress was very unforgiving even with my body slimmer underneath. The dress came a little wrinkly already and I could tell I would have to deal with static all evening. It would have been OK and I would have worn it if my back-up hadn't been so fantastic.

I rented this dress for a wedding. I wear a size 0 or 2 normally so I rented the 0 and 4 since the 2 was unavailable. I LOVED the color but it just didn't fit right. The 4 fit better than the 0 but just didn't look right. The length was off on both sizes and I ended up going with a backup dress that I'd also rented. Maybe the fit was off because I'm only 5'0? No clue but it just didn't work!
