The material was silky soft, with no stretch to it - I wasn't expecting stretch, though, it would've been nice to have a little. The color was more purple in person (but looks more blue in the photo), a very pretty color with shine. I ordered this as a back-up dress at a discounted rate and didn't wear it because the Trina Turk dress I ordered was perfect for the January wedding I wore it to. I loved the biased cuts and the length was perfect for my 5'11" height. I also chose not to wear it because it was "too nice" for the wedding, would be perfect for a formal event winter, spring, or fall. The drop crystal earrings and bracelet I rented went perfect with the shiny purple color.

Love this dress when you see it on the hanger it will not give it justice on it makes you feel classy and sexy at the same time. I love the detail on the neck perfection I wore this to a bridal shower and I got so many compliments everyone was gasping on how lovely the dress was and look will recomended

Wore it to an orthodox Jewish wedding since it was modest but still cute.

This dress fit beautifully - very flattering and shaped at the waist. Fabric is silky but doesn't show panty lines (spanx unnecessary!) Loved the unique asymmetrical neckline. Simple accessories are all you need to complete the look! The fabric does wrinkle (it arrived wrinkled from shipping, but I had no problem steaming it), but it held up and looked great for the evening.

I wore this dress to an LA charity gala--the attire was "Hollywood Chic", and this dress was perfect. I usually wear a 4, however, the 2 fit best. The draping and neckline of the dress are stunning (and worked with my 34DD bust) and I received compliments all night. The color is violet, looking slightly more of a blue/purple than the website, which was fine. The fabric was gorgeous, and the dress was comfortable--a great first experience with RTR.

It was a great dress for a cocktail party. Lots of compliments, especially from my husband!

I loved this dress- however it showed up on my doorstep with a giant stain on the side. It looked like something had bleached the silk out. unfortunately, I wasn't able to wear it to the Oaks Race the following day as planned. I'll still attach the photo that my beau took of my wearing it at home with my awesome hat. It was really beautiful and I so wish I could have worn it out to be seen.

I rented this dress for a black tie wedding. The length and material really made the dress appropriate and the perfect number for the event. The ruching detail is spot on, and I received tons of compliments throughout the night.

The color of this dress is fabulous! I wore it to a wedding and received tons of compliments. I am wider in the back and bust and narrower through the hips and this dress fit me very well. It hides a stomach or wide waist and also gives coverage if you like a more modest look in the neckline/shoulder. Yet it is elegant! If you have straight or athletic build this is a great dress choice. You will look and feel great in it!

This was my back-up dress for a wedding I attended. The fabric was SO gorgeous! The dress was not very fitted, but with a belt it looked amazing. I am broad shouldered with a long torso, and small hips. I'm 5'7" and it came just to knee, but with a belt I pulled it above the knee. This dress is edgy and definitely a show-stopper.

I wish I would have taken a picture wearing this dress. It is even more beautiful in person. I wore it to the ballet and then out to dinner for my bday. The 4 fit ok - maybe a tiny bit snug in the hips, but the 6 was only slightly bigger. I have blonde hair/blue eyes and the color of this dress was very complimentary to that. I received TONS of compliments!

Normally I fit into a 2 for RTR dresses, sometimes a 0. But this one, even the zero was large and baggy. It is such a striking color, and I loved the idea of the style, it was just too big for me.

I received both a 6 and 4 in this dress. The 6 had some spots on it, so I ended up wearing the 4. I do not usually wear a 4 and didn't think I could squeeze into this, but it fit perfectly. It's very flattering when it's on and even though I'm shortish, the length was perfect. The only downside to this dress is moisture. If you get the slightest amount of water, liquid, or sweat on it...it will stay there in 'stain' form for the rest of your evening. Just the nature of the fabric. I would buy this dress if I could! It really is beautiful.

I wore this dress to a wedding and easily felt like the best dressed (other than the bride of course). I received plenty of complements and everyone was impressed with my little secret for looking so fabulous on a budget. The color is rich and a little more purple than the blue it appears to be in the pictures. The dress was much more comfortable than I expected as well. I wish I could have kept this dress.

I was happy overall with the quality and feel of the fabric. It is good quality silk. The label on the dress was falling off, and the stitching on the seams seemed loose. I wondered if it was knockoff and some one sewed a Thakoon label on it. Noooo!! RTR is much to classy an operatiion to do that!!

The color is nice, but the fabric is also rather thin - so just take care when choosing under garments. The dress I received was too large, so it looked more like a sack then an elegant dress with a draped effect. I was disappointed I couldn't wear it, but because it was so large I'm not really certain what it would look like anyways. When choosing the extra size, I'd choose one or two sizes down from your normal size.

I rented this dress for an anniversary dinner with my husband. I always order a back up size. This time I was especially glad I had. The hook and eye closures on the left shoulder were missing on the size 6. I thought, no problem, I'll just wear the 8, well, the 8 was too big and the closures were missing on it as well. I called customer service, they were very helpful and tried to find another one in stock(ther wasn't one) I ended up just pinning the 6 where the closures were supposed to be. The customer service at RTR is exceptional! This dress is GORGEOUS on. I wish we would have gotten a picture of us before we got caught in the rain, so I apologize for not having a picture :(

I loved the initial look of the dress, the casual yet chic draping effect. It looks lovely on the model but when I got it, I looked downright frumpy. The material is beautiful but the dress was just not for me.

It looks great on the model, but in person, it's very thin fabric. I didn't like the look or feel.

This dress is really pretty - the material is luxe (though definitely requires Spanx as there is no lining at all. But the size 8 was baggy on the top and too tight on my hips (I am a pear shape). The top is beautiful, but looked a bit like a sac on me. A smaller size would have worked better on the top, but would never have fit my hips.

The color was beautiful and the material is very comfortable.. but neither size I ordered fit correctly - smaller size was tight around my butt, larger size was huge in the torso area. I ended up wearing it because I simply didn't have time to go through the process of replacing it. The dress I ended of wearing had slight runs in it, but no one else seemed to notice. The material wrinkled within 10 minutes of having it on and throughout the night seemed to stretch.. it ended up looking like a potato sack. Definitely not what I expected.

This dress looks so chic in the pictures. However, its fit was very reminiscent of a large sack. Secondly, the satin tends to not ship well at all. The dress was extremely wrinkly, and I was too nervous to try to steam or iron it since it was a rental. Thank goodness I had a back-up dress to wear to my event.
