Just a little snug in the hips, but otherwise great. I wore it to a ballet and it was perfect.

This dress was really pretty with the ruffles. I found it to be a little tight in the rib cage, but I am wide there. I am small chested so a padded strapless bra was a must. The ruffles and slit were perfect.

Others said the dress looked nice. It’s a pretty forgiving dress, material is fairly thick and it wasn’t too tight, but I did size up as others recommended

So many compliments! Fit perfectly though just a tad snug on top. But I fit it! Lol. I’m a 6 and 130lbs.

Had to wear a black bra otherwise lace bodice would not cover chest.

I ended up wearing a regular bra and you couldn't tell that it wasn't part of the dress. It was comfortable all evening.

It runs small mainly in the bust area, but if you size up one size you'll be fine. I could have worn the smaller size, but I knew I would be dancing, so I didn't want my movement to be restricted. The only problem was that because I wore the bigger size, I had to keep pulling up the tube part under the lace after every dance! If you're not at least a C cup, don't size up!

I visited the store the day-of the wedding I was attending and this was the last dress I tried and it was perfect! It was a little big on top but nothing a lace bralette couldn't handle (suggestion of the salesperson). I would 100% rent this again!

This dress was very pretty…better than the average plain black dress. Very nice for a wedding. A little on the conservative side. It looked weird unzipped so definitely zip it up all the way to get the true affect if you’re trying it on.

It’s snug…but it’ll work. The fabric has very little give, but is nice and heavy and holds you in. I’m between 4-6 these days and went with a 6. Would have been more comfy in an 8!

The fabric is thick and the main part of the dress is a double layer of fabric so it smooths the body shape. This also makes it a little hot for a summer dress. The gray sheer fabric is very itchy but if you are sitting still and not moving a lot, that may not be a problem. If you plan to dance, prepare for your skin to be a little irritated by the end of the night.

Beautiful take on an elegant black dress. Was great for winter wedding with shawl. The bust/chest seems tight. Had to go up a size. Lace is beautiful but a little itchy. Wore with a black strapless bra which worked well. Height ok with heels for 5'2" frame.

Lots of compliments and I felt good, but 3 complaints: 1) no clap at top of zipper 2) my boobs came out of the top twice. Fortunately I had a wrap, but I had to go to the restroom have someone unzip me so I could fix it. 3) I got away with it but it would be better in someone taller or who had a longer torso

This was my first RTR dress! The process was so easy! I wore this dress to a charity event. It was perfect and I received many complements. I'm typically between a size 10-12. Ordered both sizes and ending up wearing the 12. The event was in the winter, so I wanted something with a little more coverage. This was perfect! Highly recommend RTR! Perfect for busy people that don't have hours to go shopping for a dress!

Got lots of compliments on this dress. It really is very flattering around the waist line. I'm only 5'3 so it definitely was longer on me but I didn't dislike that, it was a flattering length. Many had said it and its true the rib cage is tight. I usually wear 4 or 6, glad my back up size was an 8. I did find the dress moved lower as night progressed, because it was tight there.

I grabbed what left on website ( Christmas time!), didn't expect it to be much nicer in person, it was tight in chest at first ( lining inside dress is strong enough to go without bra), it was getting looser by the end of evening & i was worried it may drop below...., lace was slightly itchy, it was quite dress, but elegant & received compliments from strangers.

Little black dress with a little lace on top. Moves really well when walking or dancing. Easy to sit in and travels well. Need to wear a strapless bra that fits underneath. Tight fit around the hips and waist but loose on top and arm holes. I'm a G and it's very comfortable. Enjoyed and would wear again.

I wish I had ordered a smaller size. My usual is a 10 but they didn't have it. The ruffle in the front added a bit more volume than expected. Really pretty top part.

Rented this for a goth themed wedding. Absolutely beautiful dress that for like a glove. It is strapless with an overlay top so take that into consideration for sizing. I have big shoulders and the 8 fit perfectly . Would rent again for a party or semi formal occasion . Tons of compliments

This dress is great! Loved that black flowy part and the ruffle. It was perfect for an evening wedding in Washington DC. Works great with a strapless bra. (Side note: the purse pictured here is from RTR too - loved it, great size!)

I wore this to a wedding. It was so comfortable and easy to dance in. I am hourglass shaped and busty but this dress stayed up all night long. The bodice and skirt is a heavier fabric so this might be too warm for a summer wedding. I wore it to an October affair. I wore rhinestones with it but I should have gone with jet beads I think.

I wore this on a formal dinner on our cruise. It runs too small for me, too tight on the belly area. I almost change it with another dress but decided to just wear it. I felt that if I eat I would burst. Maybe the next size would fit me just right but I had no time to change it with another one.

Runs a bit small though I bet I could've gotten away with a 6. Looks way better in person than in photographs (especially if you don't wear red socks smh). Top is a bit itchy but didn't bother me. Very flattering

I love being classy. This dress is classy and can be worn to any party. Sexy without needing to expose lots of skin. I originally ordered a size 4, had to send back for a size 6. I'm usually a size 4 for everything but this dress is made for women with a small chest and no lats. Still had to have a friend pull together the size 6. It was perfect though.

This was only available in 12 and I took a gamble and made it work. Wore it without a bra and the black interior bodice held me in. But a 14 would still have been better for my hips and then I could have worn a strapless bra. But love the lace overlay and the skirt ruffle!

Let me start with, this dress runs a little small. I wear a size 6 or 8 for all my slacks and pants from Banana Republic. Thank goodness I ordered the 8 but really, I may have needed the 10 since it was pretty tight. So I can't say it was comfortable but I'm sure if I got the size 10, it would have been great. With that said, the dress is absolutely stunning. It's the perfect dress for those occasions where you don't want to wear a floor length gown but can't wear a cocktail length dress. I will be renting this one again!

This dress looked great once I got it on. The top was SO tight that it took my husband and my daughter to zip me into it. I usually wear a 6 and I rented an 8 in this.

Such a cute, fun dress! I would've loved to have worn it to a NYE party but I couldn't get it to fit over my 36DD chest. The material of the skirt is stretchy and would be very fun to dance in.

Pros: The style and look is very classy and elegant. Cons: This dress is not for the athletic body type. I have a wide rib cage and small chest, the 8R was a struggle to zip, that I thought I had to wear the 10R. After getting dressed, wearing the 10R around the house, the strapless dress part left falling down and the top lace overlay was so baggy it looked like I had a hunch back. I snuggled back into the 8R (only snug around my rib cage) and the strapless dress still tended to fall down but it was too tight to wear a bra under. I didn't have any other choice but to wear it as I didn't hear back from replacement until Friday night and the wedding was Saturday. The look worked for the wedding I was going to but it wasn't a comfortable, felt beautiful kind of night for me. I didn't take any photos besides ones in a photo booth setting. My fiance and I also joked that I couldn't lift my hands over my head to dance so we did the Frankenstein..

This dress was so flattering. It is a bit tight in the bust, so maybe not for busty girls. Loved it.

Nice lace overlay on a “tube” black dress. Just watch the top as it has a tendency to slide down.
