I wore this to Mpulin Rouge the musical (because RED, duh!) but it would’ve been great for a holiday dress as well. The lace has a bit of give but I really didn’t need it with the 12. Shaper wear will show because the underlying shift is so short—I had to hike it up because I wanted it for my tummy. Still, since the 12 wasn’t fitted on me and the lace hid everything I don’t think I needed it. I am between a 10 and 12 and I’m sure the 10 would’ve required shape wear. Note, I received plenty of compliments on this dress but from women my mom’s age (almost 80) who said “No one ever dresses up for the theatre anymore!” So….. not sure if it’s currently fashionable with all the lace? Nevertheless… I LOVED IT.

This dress is just what I was looking for for a couples valentines wine dinner. I typically wear a size 4 or 6 dress and a 6 pants. I wear a small top. This dress fit perfectly. If you are tall please be aware that this dress is red lace without lining from below the hips down (in a diagonal line). So make sure you’re comfortable with this before you rent it if you’re tall. But it is a beautiful dress!

As a "statuesque" woman (read "awkwardly tall"), I loath constantly tugging at sleeves that are too short. This dress fit perfectly and made me feel like a beautiful French doll. The color, black trim and lace skirt make it oh so slightly daring without being revealing in any way. I wore a black strapless bra with it. I got so many compliments. Another RTR grand slam!!!

Loved this shade of red and the shape of the dress made it a knock out.

I loved the cutouts near the neckline and the angle of the skirt. It looked great with black winter boots! I loved how it made me feel elegant but it wasn’t over the top. It was a little loose - which is how I like it and it was so fun to wear. I got a ton of compliments and everyone on Facebook raves about the dress. Thank you RTR for making pandemic Valentine’s Day so much more fun and fabulous! Great dress for a fun evening ;)

The bottom of the dress fit fine. My husband could barely zip the dress and, when he buttoned the neck, I thought I was being strangled. The material has zero give. I couldn’t wait to take it off.

The dress does run small so I took all the advice I read and ordered a size up. This was the size I ended up wearing. The fit is quite lovely and was so easy to wear for my husband's holiday party. I am almost at the end of my first trimester and starting to show, this dress also was able to accommodate for that as well. Great dress - and I got so many compliments on it!

This dress fit perfectly and made me feel like a dang queen. I wore it for a work party and got tons of compliments. It was winter in Atlanta so I needed something that provided coverage but, in the event of a rogue 60 degree day, was breathable. This gave me both. Would love to rent again in the future.

This dress is gorgeous. I received many compliments in New York City from other women I passed at the restaurant we went to and the play The Lion King. I love the lace it is feminine yet the red color is strong. However it is extremely tight in the armpit/upper arm area almost to the point it's uncomfortable. There are also little buttons around the wrist that I left unbuttoned or that part of the arm would have been too tight too. I only got one size so I'm not sure if the larger size would have helped. My usual size is 4-6 and I wore the 4 again cause it's the only size I got, but other than the arms the rest of the fit was good. It was fitted at the waist then looser around hips- I was able to pull it up to use the bathroom. Being the material was looser bottom half it definitely didn't hold my belly in from all this vacation food, but I still felt beautiful in it. I did not wear a bra it has these two tiny little cutouts at the armpit area that add just a little cuteness to the dress. I am going to wear this again probably for Christmas pictures. It was worth the tight arms :)

Running true to size with no stretch, I recommend wearing your true size for your primary size and going up for your back up. This style is fitted throughout the midsection and fitted at the hips. It works for all cup sizes. You are able to wear a standard bra with this dress. At 5’6”, the length hit mid length on me. The pattern on the dress is amazing in person and the lace makes it unique. Pair with nude heels and fun earrings to complete your outfit!

This was a replacement that I didn't end up wearing because it would have been too formal for an intimate afternoon wedding, which was a little heartbreaking because it fit so well! Though the dress seems to be designed to hit at the ankle or slightly above for an average height woman, it worked well for me as a floor length gown. I loved the fit, it seemed proportional to my body (rare!), and it was very comfortable. It does seem to run small. I'm typically a 0, and the size 2 fit like a glove.

This is a very elegant dress I would have not have picked for myself but it looked great.

I didn't actually end up wearing this after all but I loved the fit! The lace on the arms wasn't stretchy at all so if your arms are larger you may want to skip this dress. It was very flattering otherwise. Again, the length wasn't quite right on me because I'm 5'3" but I don't think it mattered.

I loved this dress! I felt like a celebrity! And people definitely will stare at you like you're famous when you wear it. It's a really attention grabbing piece, so I had to make sure I held some good posture! I wore it to a fancy dinner, and I will say that I don't recommend it as a ''going out to eat a lot'' dress because the waist is not stretchy at all. Like not one bit. The wrists have the potential to be tight as well, but you could just leave the little wrist buttons undone and it would still look great. Overall, great dress! Hard to send this one back for sure.

I rented this for a Chinese New Year Gala and it was perfect. I am 5'4" and the dress was almost ankle length on me. It runs small but I did not size up and managed. The buttons at the neck and wrists are very hard to secure (they have the loop things) so you may need some help. This is perfect if you are looking for a dress to stand out in the crowd - it's very red & very lacy.

The neck and arm area were a little short for me which kept me tugging on the collar all night. It's a beautiful red that really pops.

This dress was a lot of fun and was quite comfortable. If you are between sizes, size down (I wish I had). Got called "Lady in Red" and a "Red Sorceress". Sure to make an impact with a dress this bright!

This dress is absolutely gorgeous and the cherry red is so perfect irl. However, I found that it runs small. It was tight on my shoulders and arms. It felt like I was trying to squeeze into a petite size. The waist and hips all fit well but the top was tight on me.

The lace of this dress is very pretty, it was just too small for me.

This was so small I couldn’t get it on sufficiently to give it any other assessment.

I think maybe the lace has shrunk from the heat treatments of cleaning it, but the arms were super tight and I was worried the lace would break. The body that was silk lined was a perfect fit. I would at to size up to make sure it works.

It was unfortunately too tight in the upper arms and hips to wear. I wish it could have worked…

Loved this dress! I had the chance to try it on in the showroom in San Francisco and I'm glad that I did. I never would have order this dress just from the photos online and I wouldn't have selected the 2R size. I normally wear a size 4, but the 2R fit great and was also a perfect length.

I have an athletic build and there was no way this size was going to zip up. I never got to wear it.

I'm 5'5, 138 pounds and the size 8 fit. There is no give in the waist so definitely size up for your backup. I wore the 8 and received tons of compliments, but I would have been curious to see how the size 10 fit (I ordered a size 6 for my backup). The fabric is beautiful, and it was perfect for a holiday party. I felt festive and beautiful!

This dress is beautiful. However, it runs very small. The opaque fabric is also very short on the one side. The lace is gorgeous. I wish it would have fit. I usually wear a 6, but would have needed a 10.
