Wore this for a rehearsal dinner. I wasn't sure what to expect but I ended up loving the way it fit. The dinner was fairly informal and this dress looked nice with flat sandals. The fabric is fairly thick.

Fit like a glove! I am a true 4 and the 4 was perfect! I am very top heavy so it was a little more snug on top but all in all was very happy with it.

I wore this dress for a busy day out and received so many compliments. Because I'm more of an hourglass figure, my clothes are typically snug in either the bust or hips - neither was an issue. It pairs well with a turquoise or yellow necklace (the necklace pictured here is a RTR item too). I would definitely rent this one again in a heartbeat.

The dress was perfect for a wedding I attended on a Friday night - I wasn't sure how formal or casual the event would be so the dress could play either way (it ended up being in a fancier setting than I expected but I still felt appropriately dressed). Material was nice and thick. I would suggest sizing down (unless you have broad shoulders) - I ended up wearing the back up size 2 instead of 4 and there was extra room in the back/shoulder area still but I easily hid that with my hair down. Also, super happy with RTR customer service on this order. I realized I had mixed up the delivery dates so the week before the event I emailed to change my entire order around and they were extremely responsive and helpful (and on a Saturday!). Essentially I was able to rent this dress 5 days before the event.

I wore this for a work event. Great fit. The material was a little restrictive so I wore the 8. Got a lot of compliments.

Loved this dress... It was heavier than I expected but not to the point where it looked unflattering. I had a baby 5 months ago and I felt that it hid all stomach insecurities. I'd suggest a belt to give it a little more shape. Worn w tights and black heels.

This dress was great for my engagement party and worked well with the Kate Spade necklace I rented with it. A great colorful statement necklace is just what this dress needs. The fabric is a nice thick texture that I think would make the dress great for fall too with tights and booties. Does run small so size up! I usually wear a 4 but went with the 6 which was still snug, but not too tight.

I absolutely loved this dress! It fit true to size. I got a size 2 and 4, and ended up wearing the size 4. Both sizes fit/could zip, but the 4 was much more comfortable because the material doesn't have any stretch. The 2 was pulling across my thighs/butt and flattening my chest, and the 4 fit perfectly. I was nervous about the length since I'm only 5'3 and was wearing this to an informal party at a college reunion, but it was the perfect length and could be dressed down with a colorful necklace and wedge sandals.

I wore this dress for my engagement pictures in Philadelphia. It was still pretty chilly, so I paired it with sheer black stockings, black Mary Janes, pearl earrings, and a chunky pearl necklace. I also wore a little black trench in some of the pictures, but needed a few without the jacket! This was actually my backup dress in case it was still cold out. The other dress was great, I just would have been freezing! This was a great solution.

LOVED this dress! I had such a great first experience with Rent the Runway. I usually wear a 0 and it runs true to size. There was a little extra room in the hips because I'm so petite. Overall, it was perfect.

Love the black and white, really good fit. Go up a size if you have boobs or a wider waist or broader shoulders - it is very tailored fit. It fit me pretty perfect but is fitted. Short, I wore the 0 and it hit midthigh. Loved it, as I usually do.

Perfect for my semi-formal/formal corporate banquet! I wore it with spanx just to be able to eat comfortably, but could have gotten away without them. Fabric is thick and kept its shape well throughout the night. Great dress!

I wore this for a professional event and I felt amazing. This dress is so cute, the picture doesn't do it justice. It has a mod 60's feel to it and as with most theory dresses, it is true to size. I would buy it if I could!

Threw this in as a second style option, ended up wearing it instead because I loved it so much. Classy and comfortable, fit exactly as expected. Received tons of compliments and danced all night with no issues. The fabric is a bit thicker, so might not be best for summer events, but was fine for outdoor April wedding (in NC).

Fantastic dress by Theory! Love this for during the day or could toss on with black tights and black booties for night. Would be great with a big necklace and fun bag. It runs slightly tight in the bust, I didn't feel as though I needed to wear a bra with the dress. Would size up if you are biggest int he bust.

I wore this to my brother's graduation. It is a little heavier material than I would gave wanted but I loved the print. It was tight on top and by my legs and butt. However, it was pretty loose in the mid section. I wouldn't rent it again but it got the job done.

Didn't actually wear this dress but plan on ordering again. Dress was comfortable and would be appropriate for many settings. Fit was true to size. I thought the bottom was slightly tight but I have larger hips (38") and thighs. No issues with the bust with a 34B.

This dress could really go either way depending on how you style it. I wanted a dress to go to dinner and possibly dancing in. I paired it with silver textured stilettos and a coral statement necklace. If you put a jacket and basic black or a modest colored heel it could easily serve as a work dress. Pros, the fit was very flattering and photographed well. Cons, while it didn't look a little small, it felt very tight in the waist and hips, especially when I sat down. Also keep in mind very short if you are a taller woman. Underwear - regular bra, spanx not necessary.

Probably meant for a smaller bust. The 10 was too big on me in the stomach but did fit my top better. I wore the 8 with a sports bra and it worked out.

I rented this as a backup for Thanksgiving, but ended up wearing out for dinner with friends the next night. It is definitely not a Thanksgiving dress :) as it fits snug. I liked the thicker material for this time of year. The cut is really cute. My one "complaint" is that it fit snug around the hips ( I am curvy, but still it pulled a bit more than I would have liked). And I don't think I would have gone up a size. I'm between a 6 and 8 and wore the 8. But the 10 would have been too big I'm sure. This is probably better suited for stick/boyish figures. But if I had this hanging in my closet, I'd still wear it again.

Tight on the top. I didn't realize the size 8 was out when I tried to order it as a backup. The size 8 probably would have been a better fit, but the size 6 worked out fine. Really cute dress. The material is nice and thick, which worked out well in November!

I didn't end up wearing the dress. I do not have much of a waist at all and in this style, the 4 was a little too tight and I felt stuffed into it. Since it was my backup dress, I didn't order another size. Lucky for all of us, it fit my best friend perfectly. She's very similar to me (as you can tell) but is about 1-2" taller, has a smaller waist and more of a bust. It fit her beautifully. The pattern was lovely, she wore it with black tights and black booties and pink earrings for a pop of color.

This was a cute dress for daytime, fit true to size but there is no stretch so movement was somewhat limited however it wasn't an issue for me as I wasn't dancing or reaching or bending. I personally would not choose this for evening, it's a little lackluster and it feels too much like a daytime or work dress depending on how you style it. I paired with wedges and a statement necklace. Would be perfect for business with pumps and a blazer.

This dress is adorable! I loved wearing it. The fit was a little funny, but I think it was only something only I noticed. I am broad across the shoulders and back. So my normal size 6 didn't fit because the top fit so snug. It's actually squishing my breasts a little. The waist then was a little bigger than I would have liked. But the dress is fun and unique and I would probably wear it again. I got a ton of compliments. Wore it with my own jewelry and peacock blue heels. So fun!!

This dress was rented for a conservative/traditional Catholic wedding. The length and neckline were perfect for this event. The dress did run slightly large. It was a little loose around the waist and bust (the usual problem for a pear shaped lady), but was perfect in the shoulders and hips. I did wear a bright necklace to make the dress a little more interesting.

This dress was really cute and perfect for a daytime event. The fabric was thicker than expected so I wouldn't wear it on a really hot day. I personally felt that it ran narrow in the hips and a little small in the bust so if you're curvier definitely size up for a backup size. The 6 fit me but was a little too tight in the hips which is why I sized up in this one.
