Wore this to work! Great dress but shoulders and neckline made it hard to wear a sweater or blazer so I opted for over sized scarf instead. Would be perfect for early fall day before it gets too cold

This is a perfect work dress. I have gained a little weight in my stomach lately after sitting around and writing my dissertation. Therefore I don't feel as confident in it right now because I have a bit of a stomach pooch. I wore some compression underwear and that helps otherwise I might not of wanted to wear it at this moment. I wish I could justify buying it. I have my interview season coming up from November to February and hopefully by then I will have slimmed down slightly and will feel even more confident wearing this. It really looks beautiful on me and size 8 in theory is exactly what I need. If I wore this with the matching blazer I see no reason I would not be hired immediately!

This dress is beautiful and super well made! The material was a bit itchy though.

As you can see from the photo, dress has a ton of extra fabric/space in the waist, which is quite unflattering. Yet the hips are tight. Also, very long (mid-knee for me). Kind of has shoulder pads too.

I wore this with a suit jacket. I will definitely wear this again.

it runs a bit tight, but even with a snug fit, it was actually very flattering. I have a bit of a stomach and didn't have to suck it in to look good in it. The silhouette made me feel svelte and taller. really gave me a confidence booster.

Too small, couldn't wear. Also doesn't match the Carissa blazer from Theory (thought I could wear them as a set but I was wrong). Not sure if it wowed me enough to try in a larger size.

I had ordered a 2. but too tight in the bust, so I tried a 4 - it fit in the bust, but no where else... clearly not made for my body type. For the 4 to fit, I needed to be 4-6 inches taller. Too bad. I liked the style and material.

I wore this in January in Chicago for work, so styled with a chambray shirt underneath and black fleece-lined tights with black booties. This was my first Theory rental, and I rented a 2 (I'm usually between a 0 and 2, depending on brand). I found it to be form-fitting and flattering with a good amount of both structure AND stretch - really the holy grail of a work dress, if you ask me. Would recommend!

I've rented this before in black and bought it in green, so I have nothing bad to say about this dress. This color is so beautiful, and I find the shape to be flattering. The slightly padded shoulders give that "power" vibe and help balance out my pear-shaped figure. It is a little snug in the rear, so it rode up a little when standing up after sitting, but I also opted for the smaller of my usual Theory sizes (I think I could have gone up to a 2 for a more body-skimming and less snug fit; I also wore spanx underneath). I wore this on a trial day with a cropped gray blazer and black pumps, and I felt polished and professional. Highly recommend.

Great length for work, form fitting, minimal stretch. Looks great with a blazer for the office.

This dress is perfect for a nighttime work event. It is feminine while still being professional. I liked that the color was different than your typical black cocktail dress. It fit true to size however if you were trying to be more conservative you could definitely size up to give yourself more breathing room and less possibility of undergarment lines. I wore this with a stick on bra although a regular bra could be worn. I just didn't want to risk any back fat bulge.

I rented this for work. I thought it was flattering and true to size, though I agree with another renter about it being a bit loose around the waist. The armholes were also large enough to necessitate a sweater or blazer to cover the sides of my bra, but I would have worn one either way. With that in mind, I would rent again.

The fit around the sleeves was weird. Looked like I had some strange wings. Didn't wear.
