Stretchy and comfy. Nice staple

Fitted, stretchy, has a little sheen to it

This is a beautiful skirt made of smooth, thick material but the problem I had with it was that it is the opposite of smoothing – if you tuck a shirt into it, the lump shows through, the seam down the front of a pair of tights shows through, pantylines show even if you are wearing tights (I’ve never worn any garment before no matter how clingy that does this). The fit was perfect, and I would like how versatile it is, as it seems like you could wear it like a formal pencil skirt for work but also more casually as a stretchy skirt with sneakers and a t-shirt. Ultimately the show-through was just too unattractive for this to really work for me – I wore it once with a more oversized sweater (not the one in the picture though) and sent it back.

Perfect black work skirt. The length was ideal for me, but might be a bit short for work on taller people (I'm 5'5)

This is a nice, basic black pencil skirt. It runs a bit small, so either size up or wear shape wear with it! A good wardrobe staple.

Flattering, easy to wear, i only say it runs small because i tend to be a 6 or 8 in bottoms and Large sounds big, but i think the sizing listed on the item by RTR was accurate. Slight satiny sheen, worked great for a party and evening work event.

Unlike other reviewers I found the fit to be pretty perfect. I'm 5'3" and petite so it did not ride up along my hips and was long enough to present myself in a conservative but not frumpy manner. The fabric is stretch and does have a slight shine to it, but not enough to be distracting. It would work well going from day to night.

Loved this skirt and it fit well, however I did not realize that it had a shiny sheen to it and it was too formal for work.. I would def rent again for a night out or event with a fun blouse etc!

This skirt could be my best friend, if I decided to purchase it. I loved the elastic waist, material, and lengthen. This skirt is a great work staple.

I loved the fit. It has a bit of stretch which is great for ladies like me with a small waist but wider hips.

Great basic skirt. Thick fabric with some stretch is good for curvy girls.

Finally a RTR work skirt that is not too short! At 5'8" it came just above my knees and because I wore the black Theory longsleeve peplum top with it, I was able to pull it down to mid-knee. The fabric is like thick, satiny & a bit stretchy. Love!

Nice skirt that doesn't wrinkle. Fits great. The waistband tends to unfold since it is just turned over.

The fabric is lux and the sheen to it makes it great for the office during the holiday season.

The skirt is very flattering with a nice weight and slightly silky sheen, and extremely comfortable. (I agree with others that you can't tuck in anything bulky because it does show any lumps.) At first I thought this would be my ideal skirt. (And seemed perfect for travel.) However it rides up (a lot) when walking. I was glad to be wearing dark tights and a long coat because after a few blocks it is like a micro-mini. It even happened walking just a couple of blocks for coffee.

This looked cuter on the model than in person. It's right and keeps riding up. It may have hurt that I wore tights; maybe would've stayed in place without catching on my tights so much.

I didn't love this. The fabric was a bit too shiny and slippery for work. The fabric kept riding up on me so I ended up showing too much leg while sitting down. Maybe better for a night out!

This skirt didn't really work for me. I looked a bit like a stuffed sausage when I put it on. I'm a size 2-4 and the small was not flattering. Maybe I should size up next time (if there is a next time)

This skirt is not a typical pencil IMHO. There is no back slit and the fabric is very smooth and stretchy. The waistband is elastic, no zipper. The fit runs small. I could have gotten away with this size (I am typical size 4) but it was not comfortable to wear even just trying it on for a couple of minutes. Did not bother sizing up.

Fits fine, but this is quite possibly the most non-descriptive skirt I’ve ever worn in my life. It is so blah.
