I loved this dress, but it definitely wasn’t perfect. First of all, I thought the ties at the side were going to be functional like with a lot of tops right now, But they weren’t. The sides were completely seamed closed and the ties were just decorations. As another reviewer noted, the armhole drops really low and it did reveal a lot of side boob/bra. I decided to wear a black bra under it that didn’t stand out too much. The straps are a little too long and kept falling off my shoulders, so I actually hand stitched it to my bra strap one time. I wore it for our babymoon and maternity photos and thought about purchasing. It definitely takes a little work to make it right for you, but for me it was worth it.

Just a perfect little black casual dress. There are cute ties along the sides. Had to fight the under slip a little bc RTR sews them together. Lots of compliments

Fits very straight up and down so I went with a size up and liked it. Good transitional piece for the end of summer

I loved all the details, especially the ties on the side! I liked that there is a slip built in. Happy with the fit, but the chest was a bit loose.

I was super excited for a flowy black dress since it’s fall but still hot where I live. Unfortunately, as others have said, the fit is off. The cut at the underarms is low so I ended up wearing no bra but then straps are also pretty loose so this was risky. The built-in slip straps also peek out, if I owned it I would probably cut out the slip. Then the butt area was big and poofed out oddly. I love the idea of this dress but it’s strangely made. I wore with a chunky boot to a rock concert and the vibe was right, it’s more boho/thrifted than ‘elevated’

I really wanted to this dress to work for me as I think it would’ve been a nice lightweight, easy fitting dress in the summer heat. Unfortunately, the fit was a little odd, possibly because I’m more busty? The dress really needs to lay flat, but it was all bunched up in the back for me. It’s possible that sizing up would have made it hang properly, but then I think the overall fit would have been way too loose. This might work for some, but perhaps better on someone with a B or C cup.

Didnt realize there is a slip dress attached to this, making it hotter than I wanted and the slip kept scrunching and bunching in places.

The dress is flowy and thin. Perfect for when you want to be comfortable but look nice!

This comes with a slip but I found it’s more comfortable without it. I went with my usual size and found it TTS. Tempted to buy - so lovely and light for this heatwave

The dress itself is already baggy, so size down and it'll still be baggy fit but better fit. Re: straps: there are two sets, one from the under slip and one from the outer dress; the under slip straps were shorter than the actual straps, making the actual straps fall down frequently.

Fits pretty lose, but a good and comfy option to throw on during the day / as a swim cover up

This came in NWT but it has a lived-in look. It's nice, but not for me because of my short torso, the straps kept slipping off and it showed a lot of side boob. I didn't care for the lining.

I loved the look of this dress. The material was beautiful. Unfortunately it was too big on my shoulders and kept falling off.

Try this if you have time to steam and iron the ties and plenty of time in advance to maneuver out how to get the slip on semi-attached to the dress , and if you don't mind wearing something that looks like it's seen the washing machine a few too many times. Cute in theory online but didn't work out. Didn't wear.

Didn't drape properly in my recommended size

Bulky around the waist, top part hangs very low on chest. Pretty fabric and idea. Maybe if you had a very long torso it would be good?

the dress was see-through, the bows on the side look sloppy. Very much a “free people” vibe.

As I sit wearing this dress on the way to work I’m wondering why I didn’t change. I sized up in hopes that the mentioned issues in the reviews wouldn’t be relevant. It’s still small in the wrong areas and the attached slip is a real issue. Can’t wait to get home tonight and take this off

I’m not sure if this runs too big or too small as it’s just overall “off.” I’m pretty straight up and down but the back bunched up weirdly at my hips and butt (again, I barely have hips or a butt) — making it look too small and unflattering. It doesn’t fall at all like it does on the model. The slip is also awkward and isn’t detachable.

This dress was a struggle to get on with the slip underneath. Doesn’t matter though because this cut of this dress does not accommodate any curves. And, the material was disappointingly thin.
