I have rented this dress 3 separate times. Insane price tag, and looks every penny. So much fabric and probably a lot on a tiny frame-I felt this worked ok for me. Absolutely smitten with this. Wore with just the tie self-belt and added different belts from my collection for additional looks. Highly recommended.

definitely oversized but the tie at the waist makes it easy to adjust fir the look you want. the fabric has a good weight to it. I would definitely recommend renting this!!

There's something glamorous and chic about this in an understated way. It's a great piece for fall. It's a heavy cotton. I could definitely size down.

Looks like it would be quite voluminous but actually flattering with a belt and not too “little house on the prairie.” Unusual dress and very comfortable.

The reviewer who asked this question nailed it. After wearing it, I vote fabulous and also know a lot of people thought it was ridiculous. I adored it- the pockets, the plaid fabric, the Elizabeth collar that matched my dog after surgery. I want to own it so please don't rent it.

It might look a little too modest without proper accessories but fits great and easy to match!

A really well made, quality dress. Feels one of a kind! Definitely heavy so wouldn't be a good summer dress. It is very oversized! For reference I'm 5,1 and the dress was right to my feet. I had to really tighten the waist to make it wearable.

I accidentally rented two sizes too big. I couldn't get a real sense for the fit, but I do like this chic Prairie look

Was really on the fence about this. Such a high neck! So much fabric! Such a dark palette! But I loved it. Those little buttons up the back, especially. The fabric has such an awesome drape. Very cozy. Would definitely rent again this fall.

Sometimes you put on a dress and can't tell if it's fabulous or ridiculous. It's comfortable, feels like wearing a flannel nightgown and is great for winter. my 12-year-old mentioned that I looked like somebody from old England with the high collar ruff, but then I got compliments from stylish Manhattan ladies as I walked around the city and had meetings. So it's up for you to decide, this is not the kind of dress you'd want to own, but it's definitely fun to wear once just to see the reactions!

Great dress. Runs a bit large. I was told I needed a petticoat and bonnet by not one, but 3 different people. I guess this has a "pioneer woman" look to it.

Loved this dress for winter. I will be watching it closely to see if it becomes affordable, because I'm sad it's gone.

So I really wanted to like this. I typically love cuts that are different than normal, and even maybe a bit "difficult". But this was too grumpy/prairie even for me. :( plus it was a leeeeetle bit itchy in the back of the neck.

It has back of dress buttons that are tricky if you live alone! My golden retriever doesn’t have thumbs to help. I may have ordered too large but it looked terrible on me. I was excited to wear this dress for fall but didn’t even want to step out of the house in it

So this dress fits very large. If you like the look of it I definitely recommend to size down. Also, would highly recommend for colder climates. The fabric is very very heavy and hot. Also it should be noted that there are buttons placed in the back, so you may need assistance putting it on. This dress was so bulky I didn't wear it, it reads like a sack of potatoes on someone with curves. Good quality dress however, just not for me.

The 12 does run big, but you can cinch the waist up. Nice that there are pockets and ruffles.

Easy to wear could go with boots, flats or loafers ... great in between summer/fall!
