I rented this dress for the People's Choice Awards. I usually wear a size 8 and I'd say this dress fits true to size. It was a tad short in the sleeve length but that's not surprising since I often have that problem. The dress came pretty snagged up in arms and top mesh part from previous renters however the dress is so stunning in person, I wore it anyway. At least the mesh was doubled up so if there was a tear on one side, it didn't leave a gapping hole. I received so many compliments all night long. Wish I didn't have to send it back!

The fit of this dress was true to size for me. I had taken other reviews into consideration that described the dress as running small and ordered what would be a size up for me. However, the size up dress fit loose and so I could have gotten away with my normal. There was tearing of the material in the arms from previous wear, but it was easily masked by the location and amount of detail throughout. The dress is beautiful!

Usually wear a size smaller but had to have this! Tons of complements. Perfect for any event during the Fall.

I didn't wind up wearing this because it was too fancy for the concert I was going to. Would be perfect for a formal event or a wedding. Loved the stunning detailing and mesh sleeves. I sized up so I could zip it past my boobs and it was perfect, so go up if you're chesty.

Fit is great and fabric great quality. The detail is amazing great dress.

This is just a beautiful dress! The detailing is amazing as it looks like it is hand sewn. The silk is perfect. Waist is slightly snug as is usual with this designer.

This dress is amazing!! The silk lining made it very comfortable to wear for an entire evening and the cut of the dress would be flattering on every body type. The embroidery is very loud so you can keep accessories to a minimum and still look gorgeous. The sizing for me was very true to size. It was actually a little big at my natural waist but still looked great.

Cannot say enough about how much I loved wearing this dress! Rented it for a nice dinner for Valentines Day and received endless compliments. The size 4 fit me perfectly. I wore a strapless bra underneath to preserve the look of the lace. I had hoped to wear a pair of delicate pumps or strappy shoes like a lot of the other reviewers, but it was FREEZING that night, so I paired with with heeled ankle boots and it created a slightly more edgy, but still feminine look.

This dress was really pretty! I wore it for a friend's birthday party and got complements all night. A stranger told me I had the best dress of the night, and my friends said it looked like haute couture. The details on this dress were stunning. I'll definitely rent again! I wore with black open toed platforms, but would love to wear with booties and a big hat, too.

I can't say enough great things about this very high quality dress. The fabric and details are truly glorious. The nicest dress I've ever rented from Rent the Runway! I got at least 6 women puling me aside at a huge New Years event to compliment the dress. Regarding the fit, for the average person, I'm sure a perfect fit. But for me, with my extremely broad shoulders and 10" arms, it was a bit snug and kind of made me nervous to wear. But it totally worked and I could not have worn the Size 6 as it would have been waaaay too big in the waist, (mine is 25"). The length was perfect on my 5'7" height....just on the edge of too short for my age, but it worked great for a party.

This dress fits like a glove. Highly recommend!!

I wore this for thanksgiving and family holiday card photos. I was a bit of a stuffed sausage in the 4, but that's because I am in denial about going up a dress size, not because dress runs small. Amazing detail and very comfortable. Love.

This is a great dress for a pear-shape body (like mine). It gives you definition at the waist, but then flares out from there. It is delicate, but comfortable. I felt amazing in this dress! The rehearsal was at a church, so I wanted something conservative enough for church, but also a bit dramatic. This worked great. I wore a strapless bra with this dress.

I couldn't wear this because it had many rips in the delicate material on the sleeves and back. I am 5'8" and it was shorter than I expected.

This was my favorite dress from RtR to date! I wore it to both a wedding rehearsal dinner and wedding after party at a karaoke bar and got lots of compliments both times. Very elegant and can dress down with flat sandals where necessary. Fit was good. I'm between a 2 and a 4 and the 2 was perfect.

I loved how this dress looked but unfortunately it was too tight in the arms. Go for the size up.

Arms don't have stretch fabric so they were tight but doable. If you are worried go one size up but I would say my size was fine

It's form fitting but in a tasteful way. It's breathable material and it's absolutely gorgeous in person. It's fancy but not over the top. I would recommend for a nice dinner out or wedding. I would rent again in a heartbeat!

My own fault, I didn't read reviews and size up, I took it out of the bag and didn't even try it on because I could tell it would be too small just holding it up. It's so beautiful I didn't want to risk not being able to get it back off :) I'm doing unlimited so I wasn't too upset, will have to order it again in the correct size someday. I ended up wearing the other dress I rented which worked great!

This dress is gorgeous!! If they have it in your size it is a MUST RENT. You could wear it to a work function or on a nice date.

I ALWAYS wear a 4, sometimes a 6, and I could not zip this up. I am very skinny and have tiny arms and I could not get them in the sleeves. I could probably order two sizes up. What a shame; stunning dress, but runs small! Proceed with caution!

I wore it to both church and work and it worked great for both! I wish they made a 0 because that would have been perfect. The shoulders were a just a hair wide and the waist was not as tight as I like. But other than those two things, it was a great dress! It hit me right above the knee. I'll probably rent this again.

I wore this for New Year's Eve. It is pretty conservative, but I loved the gold detail on the dress.

One of my best RTR dresses! I'm between a 6 and 8 and I got the UK 12. I could have worn the UK 10. The full skirt is flattering and comfortable and the detail work in gold is beautiful.

As the reviews indicated, this dress runs very small. I could not zip it over my chest! It is a beautiful dress though, I'm sad it didn't work out and was not available in a larger size!

I wore this for my daughters high school graduation. Wanted to really dress up and I got lots of compliments on this dress. It is so unique and beautiful! I felt like a princess wearing it and really didn't want to take it off at the end of the evening! I would rent this one again for sure!

I am short and short waisted. This dress is cut so that it is fitted under the bust , around the rib cage and then flows out. On me, the fitted part fell to my waist and then puffed out in an unflattering way. If I were a few pounds lighter and could go down a couple of sizes I'm sure it would have been fabulous!

Too small in the rib cage area - perfect length for petite frame.

This is a beautiful dress that is very flattering on, and the intricate flora lace details make it look couture. I am usually a 6 but grabbed an 8 in this as it was the only size available. It was a bit loose all over, but still looked very pretty on and was very comfortable to wear with the extra room. I paired the dress with gold pointy-toe pumps for dinner. The dress itself is 5 stars all the way. The reason I gave it 3 stars is due to the smell! It smelled like dry clean chemicals when I first received it, I aired it out a bit and put it on, but an hour later, the detergent smell dissipated somewhat and the dress started to smell like BO! It got stronger as I sat there and made me a bit nauseous. So now I'm starting to question whether it makes sense to rent dresses at all - dry cleaning is really more about spot cleaning for stain removal, so it does not truly clean a garment or remove any odors. Not a big deal if it's your own clothes, but really gross when it's something worn by who knows how many others before you.

The embroidery is beautiful on this dress but the waist fit me very awkwardly. I looked like Wednesday Adams in it. I think this would be very cute on a tall slender woman. I'm 5'4" and slightly curvy so the dress was long and frumpy on me.
