I thought this dress would be like a silk slip, but it is on the heftier side. Cut is straight up and down. On me it was a tad too tight at side of ribcage/under arm, but I have a broad ribcage; loose fitting at waist; boxy at back bottom-half. Not true black, faded black. Liked the print on front. Minor damage to fabric from dry cleaning.

The under-slip was longer than the outer dress but it could definitely pass for being intentional even though it wasn't. The straps are NOT actually adjustable as mentioned but I pinned them in. No stretch and probably not a great fit for people with larger boobs.

I normally don't have problems with these types of dresses but it was basically a tube. My hips looked pretty ridiculous.

This dress wasn't flattering for my body type. The waist was huge with no synching or shape to it. It just felt like what should be a casual pattern and cut but was way too formal with the double lining. The fabric was too thick and structured to lay like a slip dress. This would look better on someone with a fuller midsection.
