It's a bit big around the waist area, so I added a small belt. It's a wooly material but flows nicely.

This dress is SO beautifully constructed - from the use of the stripes with the bias cut of the fabric, the full lining, and it has hidden side seam pockets which are always appreciated! I got many compliments while wearing this! At 5'1", this was calf length and if I was going to be picky, I would have shortened the hem of over blouse, which ran just slightly long on my short torso. I still loved it. As several other reviewers have noted; it is made from a wool suiting fabric and would definitely be too warm for hot weather - I work in a heavily air-conditioned building and I think it would work for that environment. I wore this in winter when it was quite cold, so I had a long-sleeved underlayer which I felt worked with the dress - particularly since the continued use of the stripes and the split back are design elements that you don't want to cover up!

Gave a training in it. Not super standout but it felt comfy, feminine and professional. I enjoyed wearing it. Pockets are properly functional.

The layered vest-like back is a surprise that really makes this a statement piece! All day at work I stunned with every asking "is that a dress?" Very classic. I paired with a thin long sleeve white shirt. Great if you want to hide problem areas as well! Definitely looks better in person!

The wedding was in the mountains and it was a pretty cool at night so the light wool fabric was perfect! This would look great with ankle boots or chunky heels. I got several comments compliments!

The dress runs large, I wore an 8 and I normally wear a 10. The cut is very comfortable and the look is very stylish. The fabric is a wool blend and if you are sensitive to that type of fabric this might not work for you. I received many compliment at work. I also wore it after work to a dinner date with my husband and he loved it. The compliments surprised me because the dress is so easy, but you look like you spent a lot of time on your outfit.

An ideal fall dress. The grey and navy colors are perfect and easy to match with a variety of jackets and accessories. This dress does run large and we recommend sizing down especially if you're smaller framed. There is ample room in the bust, waist, and hips. At 5'7" it hit between my ankle and mid-thigh, which is slightly longer than pictured on the model. Pair it with a cool leather jacket and black heeled boots.

This is the perfect dress for a 68-degree November day, but I’m not sure what other weather it’s good for – it’s sleeveless and doesn’t (in my opinion) look great with a cardigan or jacket but it’s wool. Also, it technically looks fine with tights but because of the longer length, it felt fresher and less frumpy with bare legs (I wore ankle socks and Chelsea boots to work, white leather sneakers on the weekend). Basically you need to hit the sweet spot of a day that feels like fall and won’t get really hot, but is still warm enough for bare arms and then it works in that narrow season. As others have noted, it runs quite large – if a size down is what is available you should be safe trying it. That said, because the peplum top covers the waist, there’s nothing to be gained by this being more fitted and in fact I actually think it might be a little unflattering if the waist was fitted rather than flowy because that would make the skirt part flare out over your hips (something it does a bit of already and is not the most flattering part of the look). Has pockets. Very comfortable and not itchy. All in all, a unique design and a funky look that I enjoyed wearing for a day or two, but I didn’t really love it as much as I had thought I would.

It's an interesting shape and not one I usually wear. There is a lot of fabric, but it drapes nicely. Couldn't get a photo to really do it justice... It's a thick fabric so better for cold weather. I wore with a leather jacket and high top sneakers. Would be great with black tights and tall boots too.

The dress is different. I got about 3 compliments on it in 10 minutes after walking into work. I like it very much but its big and is not figure flattering. That said it is realy comfortable and chic in a 'get thee to a nunnery' kind of way. Good work dress. Like the pockets.

The colors are a bit more muted than pictured but I did not have a problem with that. The size however runs extremely large, go down at least a size or two to avoid swimming in it.

Beautiful fabric and colors. Flowey skirt and nice details. Runs really big. I would order this again but probably 2 sizes down. And I never size down (that's why I didn't listen to all the reviews telling me to size down!). I like things loose. I wore this with a shirt underneath as it was cold outside and the arm holes were too big in my usual size!

Definitely size down per the other reviews. Normally I am a 4 and I got a 2 - and it fit well. It is on the longer side so I did use a belt to give it better shape (hidden under the top). With high heeled booties it was perfect for work and my day full of client meetings. Would rent again.

I am usually a size 6 or 8. The size guide suggested sizing down so I went with the smaller size of 6. Definitely should have gone for a 4, maybe even a 2. This dress was HUGE! Definitely recommend going a full size down, maybe even 2, which is why I rated it 3 stars. I will likely order a smaller size in an upcoming unlimited order because I've been obsessed with this dress since it came on the site.

I am a size six but ordered a four after reading the reviews that it run large. The smaller size was still too big and very unflattering. I probably could've worn a 2. I usually love Theory but was disappointed in this item.

I loved this dress. I was a little worried that it would look too worn but, it was perfect. Was easily to wear and very comfortable. Fabric had a very nice weight to it without being too warm.

I really liked this dress. I was only able to wear it once because I was traveling to a cold place during the month I had it at home. The cool details are in the back, so wearing a jacket with it ruins the look.

True to size - very draped fit, I can see why people say it ran big but I think it's just the way that it fits which is so beautiful - if I had sized down, the chest would have been to tight but that's just me!

Heed the warnings of other posters - this dress runs HUGE - the 0 fit me great even though I am usually a 2 or a 4. It is also a mid-weight wool, so it is best deployed in spring/fall rather than summer. That being said, it is quite chic and perfect for September in NYC.

This is a voluminous piece - so while sizing is true for Tibi, there is a lot of fabric and those with narrower builds may chose to size down. Loved the pockets, the trapeze style top, and the length (about 2 inches below the knee on my 5'10' frame.
