This dress exceeded my expectations. It fit pretty much true to size, but like some of the others said it was a bit tight around the hips. The zipper was somewhat challenging in the back as the material changed, so make sure you have a friend or someone who can help zip you up! All in all this dress was a great fit for a formal Christmas party and I will definitely do Rent the Runway again!

This dress is very high quality and the lace detail is beautiful. The gold didn't pop quite as much as I had hoped, but it is still a great dress. The dress is a little big in the bust, so I think it would work for a girl with a larger bust as well. I really enjoyed wearing this dress, and it is extremely comfortable.

I really liked this dress, and I almost felt too classy for the occasion! It was easy to move around in, didn't ride up at all, and looked great! The gold detailing set my dress apart from every other LBD that night.

The material was nice and thick which provided structure and the peplum was perfect for disguising my leftover belly after having a baby just a few weeks earlier. This dress made me feel pretty at a time I wasn't so thrilled with my body.

Thrilled with the style and fit. The dress was just as described and I was very happy to have gotten two sizes. The dress is form-fitting so I went with the 2 as opposed to the zero. I loved the texture on the dress and it was a great choice for a black-tie optional summer wedding. It was incredible to get the dress a few days before and know that I had such a beautiful piece to wear for the wedding! Will absolutely be using RTR again!

Loved the gold lace detail - makes it different from all the other black peplum dresses out there. I can sometimes wear a 2 in tibi, but needed the 4 b/c its relatively fitted in the hips. Flattering fit and comfortable. You will need to wear a strapless bra b/c the sleeves cut in a little too far for regular bra straps.

This was perfect to wear for my husbands company party! It wasn't too loud that you were standing out yet it was different enough (and a total fashion statement) that I received multiple compliments on it. The gold lace and peplum is subtle but so fun and festive for the holidays (or any celebration)! Like the other reviews mention, it is very tight in the hip area and the dress doesn't have really any give or stretch to it. I wore my usual size but I would definitely size up for your backup. I was able to wear a regular bra without any strap issues. Overall loved this look and would rent again!

The beautiful gold lace and peplum detail added just the right amount of jazz to make this a great dress for an office holiday party. I range from size 2-4, but sized up because I was concerned about the dress fitting too tight for a work function. The 4 fit perfect, and was quite comfortable (although a bit on the short side if you're tall). This dress is dance floor approved and a compliment magnent!

This dress fit true to size and hit at mid-thigh on me. It was easy to both sit and dance in; not too tight at all! The gold/black lace fabric and peplum made the dress trendy and elegant. Would definitely recommend!

the dress fits true to size. it was comfy, i was able to dance in it. when i sat down it did rise a lot but thats what dinner napkins are for! great for holiday parties, fall/winter weddings.

This dress was perfect for my office holiday party. The colors were festive and the fabric had enough give to make sitting for a few hours very doable. The only downside: it was a bit snug in the hips. In order to accommodate my hips, I had to size up. Doing so meant that the bodice of the dress was larger than I would have liked. I doubt anyone else noticed but if I could, I would have worn the top from the size 8 and the bottom from the size 10.

I had originally ordered a different dress but the previous owner had returned it damaged so RTR called me the day before the dress was supposed to arrive and replaced it for free still arriving perfectly on time! While i had wished i had the dress i originally wanted i got plenty of compliments wearing this dress everyone seemed to love it! The only complaint i have is that it is a tad bit short and the bottom of the dress makes it hard to walk in if you dont have tiny legs like me. I wore spanx with it and kept having to pull my dress down the whole time because it would ride up. It was also difficult to sit down because of the tightness in the legs and chest/stomach.

I rented this for my sister's graduation and work holiday party after and the fit was just perfect! It was a little hard to dance in and that's why I only gave it 4 stars but overall very cute! I added a belt for a little extra something.

if you have curves, definitely size up. the 6 was fine but it felt a little too tight as a work to night out transition dress, and was a bit shorter than the 8. the material was great, no wrinkles and i was sitting all day. love, love, loved this dress.

Very cute, but not exactly figure flattering. It never looked that gold either. The skirt as absolutely no stretch to it so dancing was a little awkward.

I rented my normal size, as well as a size down and both were way too small. The peplum seemed to be cut incorrectly and was crooked. I knew I would be uncomfortable all evening in this dress and ended up shipping it back. The only time I've had that experience with RTR, and the customer service with the return was excellent. Even though the dress didn't work out, it was still a super easy process!

Overall, this dress was really great. I usually wear a size 2 in my RTR dresses, but I had to size up for this. I ended up wearing the 4, and it looked great! A bit short when sitting down but not a huge deal.

I wore this dress to a February wedding and I would highly recommend it to someone else. Only downside is that, while the dress fit me perfectly every where else, it runs tight through the hips and doesn't stretch - making it tough to sit. But that was okay for me, since I spent most of the night dancing!

I ordered a 2 in this dress because the 4 was unavailable, and Tibi typically runs large on me so I thought the 2 might work, but the 2 was pretty darn tight in the hip area, and shockingly it was quite short too - even on my 5 ft frame (never happens!) It fit, but I thought it was too short/tight fitting for a wedding. Gals with hips - might want to size up. The fabric really has no stretch! If I'd gotten a 4, though, I would have loved it. It is a beautiful dress.

I ordered this dress to wear to my office's holiday party. Unfortunately, the size 2 I ordered ultimately wasn't available and RTR's amazing customer service sent me a great replacement dress. They also sent this dress in a size 4 as backup. The size 4 was too big, but I'm not sure I would have liked the size 2 either. The fabric is beautiful, but it's very thick. Because I have a larger chest, I think it just added too much bulk to the top of me and didn't have a slimming effect at all. I'm sure this dress would look better on someone with a smaller chest because otherwise it's beautiful.

It fits very well but too short for me. It' very flattering without being too revealing. I would have preferred it to be 1 1/2 inches longer.

In general, this dress runs fairly true to size. It is quite snug in the hips and doesn't have much give, so go a size up for the backup, as RTR recommends. It also hits just a little shorter than it appears on the model. I'm 5'6" and a size two was at mid-thigh. The dress I wore was in great shape and looked brand new.

I ended up wearing my other dress, just because I decided this may be too fancy for the event that I was going too. However, I loved this dress and would definitely reorder for a different occasion. A touch tight around the hip area, but I tend to have larger hips, so if that's not your body type, then I'm sure you will have no problems.

The size 4 had a slight rip in the peplum so I had to wear the six, which was too big. The gold is also not as flashy as the picture shows.

Beautiful dress but if you have curves the peplum just makes them look bigger, and not in a good way.

I usually wear a 4 and if a 6, it is a bit larger, but this 6 was very tight especially around the hips/thighs area. Love the style of the dress though.
