I rented this dress for a black tie wedding and got a lot of compliments on it.

The dress that i rented weeks prior to my party suddenly became unavailable due to unforeseen event, RTR communicated with me in best way possible... email, text at the same time. RTR upgraded me to a double the price dress with no additional expense from me... they sent me 5 gowns! So i can truly choose and manage to look my best! This gown fit me to a T!... i was showered with compliments and so it goes... it was a night full of awesomeness because i feel and look great! RTR you are the best!!!

I loved this dress! It fit perfectly, AND was long enough for me - I'm 6 feet tall, so sometimes that isn't the case. I was also able to wear a regular bra AND I didn't need Spanx, so two more pluses there! There isn't a lot of stretch in the black material panels, but it does move with you and is pretty "forgiving". The back of the dress is just as much fun as the front and the pattern is very flattering - especially for someone with curves. The material is pretty heavy, but it's very comfortable and soft. I could walk easily in it, but when going up stairs I did have to hold the bottom up so I didn't trip. I wore this to a black tie optional holiday party, but it would be perfect for a formal Fall or Winter wedding, party or gala event. I highly recommend this dress!!

This was shipped to me when the dress I ordered was too short. I was not super keen on how this dress looked in photos but needed something. When it arrived and I put it on I was blown away. Photos to do do it justice. People stopped me in the street, in the lobby and at the party to say how beautiful I looked. It it s thick fabric and hung beatifully. I would suggest getting a size down because it was a little big in the torso in the back but honestly you cannot really tell. The black cut-outs are really flattering to the figure. GIVE THIS DRESS A CHANCE!!

Wore this to a military ball, and I have to say, this dress is absolutely gorgeous. It's even more beautiful in person; the pictures definitely don't do it justice. The black panels have a little stretch to the fabric, but the main design has none. You can wear a regular bra with it too, which was fantastic. I would definitely recommend getting the long size of you're planning on wearing heels over 4 inches though. Overall, I'm glad I picked this dress! I'm sad to have to send it back.

Great fit! Very comfortable and easy to move it. It was the perfect length with heels. Looks even better in person than it does in the pictures. I would highly recommend this dress to anyone who wants to look elegant and classy!

I wore this for a fancy wedding in Argentina. Wedding there go until 6am and this dress was comfortable all night. It wasn't too long either once I changed into flats so I could dance all night. I loved the color and shimmer which doesn't show up very well in the picture.

This dress would not have worked, but RTR was able to overnight me one size down than what I typically wear. It is unique and I felt like a million dollars! The mermaid hem is so flattering, and the neckline and cap sleeves were very beautiful but not revealing. The brocade panels in the bodice of the dress are slimming, as the fabric is rigid while the black fabric has stretch. All around a beautifully designed gown.

This dress is perfect for black tie fall event! The fabric doe not have a lot of stretch so it is very fitted throughout the waist and hips. I would suggest sizing up and should be worn with a strapless bra.

Wish I had one size smaller, but there was an issue getting me the 0R. 4in heels were necessary for my height and I could have used an extra inch.

I wore this dress to a benefit after my initial gown didn't arrive. The whole process of getting a replacement was a bit of a nightmare and my options were very limited, but this gown turned out beautifully. I got compliments all night even though the gown was a little large. There is a lot of stretch to the gown and I have a very large bust (30GG). There is a small train, but very manageable.

Wore this to a masquerade ball outdoors on a historical property. Sized up to the 8 due to better fit in the hips and ability to walk/dance, however then it was a little loose in the waist which in certain angles looks a bit off for photos. Loved that I could get away with 1/2-1" 'flats' which made the night that much better. If wearing heels, get the L. The dress was well made and stood up to a long night of dancing without any malfunctions or irritations. Though it's pretty, it didn't stand out in the crowd (if that's what you are going for!)

I got so many compliments on this dress! This is the kind of dress that you question when you see it on the hanger or in the photos, but it really needs to be tried on to get the full story. Very comfortable! I would rent this again for another event.

Totally glamorous but was on the ground even with 3.5 inch heels. Got tons of compliments and fairly comfortable overall

The fabric is FAR more gorgeous than on photos. Its a rich texture with the glimmer of gold tones over the red. The crinoline under the skirt will always keep it in a mermaid shape. This is so comfortable!

I'm short. I was long but I wore giant heels and it worked just fine. It was so comfortable. The black panels are very slimming. Don't be put off by how weird the lighter pattern looks online, it's actually very sophisticated in person.

Very flattering, especially for a full bust. Wore to a black tie wedding and got a lot of compliments. It was especially perfect because the wedding had a Christmas theme. Definitely recommend.

This was my second choice. It is a beautiful gown. The 12 was short. And just a tad to tight. The 14 was too big in the back. But just the right length. I ended up wearing my first pick!

I really liked the design of this unique dress, but think it will fit hourglass shapes best. The floral damask panels are a thick coarse fabric, and the black fabric is a thick swimsuit-like material. Even with a shaper on, my hips looked lumpy and the bodice was too loose. I wore the other dress option.

This dress is stunning, very flattering, but too too long to wear. I am 5'3", and the size 0 was dragging on the floor with 3" heels. With the small train, I would have been stepped on all night. Such a disappointment to have a total bust, especially after getting the dress delivered was a hassle. I won't order any long gowns from RTR in the future. For those thinking of giving this a try, the size 0 still had some give for me -- I didn't even try on the size 2. So if you're slender and taller, it could work for you. You can wear a regular bra, which is a plus.

But too big for me. The 10 would have been perfect.

Someone did not return the backup size of the Lily Pad dress that I ordered for my fiance's work formal at the Greenbrier, so I got a message 3 days before requesting I list my top 5 alternates as a new backup. Silver lining--2 options! I almost ordered this number first but was a little concerned about the fact that there wasn't a straight size 14 available. I'm proportionally hourglass, save the fact that I have a smaller chest (pretty much I am a size 14 on the bottom and 12 on top at 5'7"ish). When I got the box I tried this one on, and WOAH--the 14W was way too big. The black side panels are a little stretchy, so if you're a straight 14 and are comfortable with a very body-con style, I suggest trying the 12R instead.

This was the first time for me to use RTR. I ordered 4 dresses and this was the only one that work. However, it was my favorite. I wore this gown to a fellows ball. I received so many compliments all night long. I will definitely rent from them again.

Went a size up due to the dress being known to run small, however I could have taken a 0R.
