Great color, comfortable fabric, and well made. This gown runs true to size, but be sure to finish all hair and makeup before putting it on as it is quite hard to lift your arm above your head (fabric has no stretch). At 5'7" I would have needed the long length in 2.5+ inch heels. The bodice and hips are fitted, but there is a small spot of stretchier material near the hips that helps with the fit. Perfect for a black tie event, pair with statement necklace or earrings.

I wore this gown for a formal affair at 19 weeks pregnant. It was comfortable and stunning. I received so many compliments! It is elegant and timeless. The top is a little low cut which is attractive but a little surprising, I didn't think it was as low cut as it was. This gown definitely needs a necklace to set it off. The color blue is beautiful. Loved it!

This dress is amazing! The panels are a very dark navy color, and really compliment the color of the rest of the dress. My one complaint is that the sleeves were very constricting--I could not raise my arms very high at all. But it was worth it! The dress has a heavy skirt but if you lift it up a little when you walk, it's not too difficult to walk in. The height was perfect for me (5'4") with 3 inch heels. I wore this to senior prom and got tons of compliments!

I am an hourglass figure, and this dress hugged my body in all the right places. It's a beautiful weight and feel as well. I'm an event planner so I wore this dress to a gala I had to work at, and I was able to move and walk in this dress with ease without feeling constricted or tight. I got SO many compliments on the dress! It's a bit low, but for being a D-cup, I didn't feel like I was spilling out or looked inappropriate. Dress is true to size. The only feedback I would say is that it was almost too short. I am 5'11 and ordered a long size.

With 5 inch heels it was the perfect length.

The dress was slimming, flattering and fit like a glove! I got compliments all night! Loved the lines of the dress and the contrast of fabrics. I ordered both the 4R and 2R and ended up going with the 2R as it fit better around my rib cage. The fabric is stretchy around the rear which held me in, but didn't feel tight in the area that's often my trouble spot. With heels, the 2R was probably a little short for my height, but not noticeable. It was perfectly classy and elegant.

I'm STILL receiving compliments on how this dress looked from the guests of the event several weeks later! I'd say it's a subtle showstopper. Enough pizzazz to stand out from a sea of LBD's yet still extremely sophisticated. The dress runs true to size in every way except around the rib cage. I have a petite rib cage (hourglass shape) and the dress hugged me too tightly there, which made it uncomfortable at times. The black inserts are made of stretchy material which make the dress amazingly flattering for slightly curvy gals all the way to very curvy gals. I'm 5'7" so was kind of in the middle of a 6R and 6L. I probably could have gone with the Long, but the Regular, combined with medium height heels, worked well as I had a lot of shuffling around to do. The color is a true navy, although it appears a brighter blue in photos. Bottom line, you won't regret renting this dress--only not owning it!

I rented this dress for a black-tie event and could not have been happier. The navy color is very pretty, but darker than pictured on the site. The inserts on the sides are actually a stretchy material so the dress is perfect for molding to womanly curves. I am a size 4 32c/34b and with a normal slightly padded bra the top was perfect, it could be a lot more cleavage for someone with a bigger bust. I am only about 5'1", I rented the regular length and wore 5 inch platform heals and the length was perfect to sweep the floor. If you are taller than 5'3-4" I would definitely recommend the long length.

The gown I ordered was not returned in time and RTR sent this instead. I was really worried because on my computer and phone it looked like the dress was blue with both brown-ish and black panels and it just looked weird to me. It came and it is blue, with all the accent panels in black. No weird brown, maroon color. It was BEAUTIFUL! [ RTR-- You should really clarify the color in the description somewhere, or alter it on photoshop!] The black panel on the back is a stretchy material which made it very comfortable to move or sit in, and walking was not problem despite the mermaid styling. I normally wear a 0 (5"4, 115-118 lbs, 32A) and did end up wearing the 0R with 3.5" heels, though it was hard to get the zipper past the middle seam (definitely required a second person). Because of the sleeve cut I couldn't really lift my arms above my shoulders, so not great if you dance with your hands high a lot ;) Anyway, I got a ton of compliments from strangers and friends and my husband thought it was really hot. It was perfect for a black tie event. I wore 3.5" heels, and the dress just touched the floor, and you never saw my shoes, which was a slight bummer ;) Beautiful, flattering dress, sexy but still elegant. Definitely go for it!

Other than being too long for my petite height at 5'1", this dress fit perfectly. The material is amazing, and although it looks heavy in the picture, it was actually fairly light and I wasn't dying of being too hot by the end of the night. Although it was annoying to have to pick up every time I needed to walk around, this dress was extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this fabulous gown.

I rented a 6 which is my typical size, then went a size up to the 8 as my back up since it was the Holidays and thought I may need the extra room! I have a boxier torso so the 8 was actually more comfortable through the waste but way too big in the shoulders and chest. I am 5'5, 130lbs, 34B. I did not wear a bra but did put cups for a smoother look in the front.

I'm 128 lbs, 5'6", and the 4R fit perfectly with short kitten heels. You can wear a bra with not concerns about it showing, and the material and fit hide any "imperfections". Highly recommend!

The dress is beautiful and is fitted. So I recommend getting your true size.

A little snug in the rib cage and definitely needed help getting it zipped up. It has bra strap holders as well. Roomy in the hips for me but a very nice fit overall.

This dress was my pick after the original dress didn't quite work. The navy color was sumptuous. The material was gorgeous and I felt like a million bucks even though the dress was a little too small/short for me. I wish a 'long' had been available. My usual size wasn't available and I'd exhausted other options at the Georgetown store. The stylist was very patient & helpful. After settling on this dress & lamenting that I was going to a sit down dinner in a very fitted dress, the stylist comically said, 'don't eat!' ;) Anyone who knows me knows that isn't an option & I managed to enjoy the dinner comfortably but was ready to get out of the dress by the end of the night. The waist area has slight give but the shoulder/chest area has no give & I had to go braless. It was still gorgeous & I got many compliments just walking to/from the venue.

I wore this dress to the Opera in February. I chose this style because it was long, covered my shoulders and wasn't too over the top. Although I was one of the most dressed up audience members, I didn't care. It was the opera and it was Saturday night so those two things mean evening wear to me. #overdressed #dontcare the fit was very true to size except the length. I am 5'2" and had to wear the 2R. The 2P was short on with no shoes on. I recommend getting the Regular or Long if you are 5'2" or taller. Also, I sat the entire time I wore this dress and miraculously there were no wrinkles. Major plus! I highly recommend this dress especially for winter events since you will look fabulous but will still stay kind of warm.

First time using RTR. I will definitely be back. True to size. I wear a size 8 dress. I'm 5'3" & 137 lbs. I ended up wearing the size 8R dress. I ordered the size 6R too. The size 6R fit in the waist, but was too tight in the bust. What a fun night wearing such a pretty dress.

I'm not a big cap sleeve person but this dress was so flattering and honest to goodness felt like it was made for my body. I wore it to my brothers wedding and not only felt beautiful but kept getting compliments all night long. Definitely tops the charts as a favorite dress I've ever worn to an event!

Rented for a beauty pageant so I could look decent since my bestie is a former Miss everything. Wanted something that was a bit more posh instead of glitzy and I LOVE Theia. This was a semi mermaid gown and I'm shocked that the regular length fit me height wise (in heels) 5'2" with 4 inch heels was perfect so if you are taller than that get the long. This wasn't super tight in my butt but I'm small in the rear so if you are bigger booty you may actually like he fit better.

Absolutely loved this dress. I usually wear a 4 but ended up wearing a 2. This dress has stretch around the butt to make it super comfortable. It's much more beautiful on then in the photos on the website. I saw it in store in person and don't think I would have given it a second look on the site.

If you are #curvy in all the right places, this dress is for you! The dress fit me perfectly and made my curves look incredible which led to a lot of double takes that night! I could dance it it and walk easily and the sleeves made me feel comfortable. It's also twirlable because it does flare out at the bottom. The only small problem was that in my dress the hem had a small tear in the back so sometimes my heel would step in the hem and that was very annoying. Length wise, I am exactly 5 feet tall and the only reason I was able to wear the regular length was because of my high heels! The dress barely kissed the ground and overall it was the perfect dress for the military ball I attended. If you are short like me get the short length but don't wear too high of heels or get regular and wear your highest!

I had originally ordered a different dress, and when both sizes of the other dress were returned damaged, I ended up having to rush to the store in Vegas to get a replacement. Beyond the last minute panic of trying to get something else (mere hours before I had to be on stage, no less), this find was the saving grace of the day. It was super flattering while still allowing me to wear a bra (which is pretty necessary when one is sporting a DD cup). I wouldn't have chosen this dress from the pictures, but once I had it on it was magical. I had compliments all night long.

The 6 was tight in the top but the 8 was a tiny big in the hips but you couldn't really tell so I went with the bigger size! It was very comfortable and with the thicker material no spanx needed! Perfect dress for a formal occasion!

Pros - it's beautiful. The colors are amazing, the fit and flare is perfect for a curvy bod and I got many compliments through the night. Cons - size UP, this runs super small. I'm between a 6 and 8 and could barely squeeze into the 8. I have a 36DD chest and they made it in just barely. It also wrinkled a lot in the mid section where the two tone fabrics meets. All in all, would rent again!

My first RTR experience, this dress was waiting at my hotel when we arrived. I brought a back-up dress, just in case. Popped this on and WOW. Fit just as the reviews suggested (and I read all of them to ensure that I ordered the right size). I wore a regular bra and 3-inch heels and it fit just right. Walked to the Tony awards, felt fabulous, and dropped it at the UPS store on the next block the following day.

Loved everything about it except I noticed the train has frayed along the bottom seam. From a distance it didn't matter, but was obvious if you looked at all up close. Otherwise, I highly recommend this dress. It is snug through the bodice and less fitted around the waist- this made me chose the 8 instead of the 6. I got many compliments on the dress (I was at a super hero themed formal event).

I rented the 6R and 8R per the reviews I knew the 8 would fit, but should have listened when they recommended sizing up for the backup. I wish I would have had the 10R even though I usually wear a 6 in dresses. The 6 did fit, but it was too tight to be comfortable. The fit through the arms is tight and just generally all over it is a fitted dress. The color was amazing and perfect for the occasion! The bad news was that both the 6 and 8 we're SO SHORT... I am about 5'4" and a 1/2 and had to go out and buy dressy black flats to make it work (not the best feeling when you're at a formal affair). My hips and chest are on the larger side for my dress size so I think that was the issue. The 8L would have been perfect for me. I would recommend renting this dress for sure.

This was a great dress- super comfortable. Only had two cons- 1. It came very wrinkled at the bottom (luckily I was able to steam them out super easily, but some don't have a steamer at home, so...) 2. It bodice around the shoulders is not stretchy- so when it came to dancing the night away- I wasn't able to raise my arms over my shoulders, but I hadn't noticed this until the dancing portion of things!

The dress doesn't stretch and runs a bit small. I wore a size bigger to feel more comfortable. Very elegant dress, beautiful colour!

the dress is blue and black, the online photo doesn't show it very well. the panels around the chest are a metallic shade of satin navy, just a tiny bit different than the rest of the dress. the sides and back are black stretchy material. the whole dress looked the way I hoped it would when I put it on. I rented the 2R and the 0R. I ended up wearing the 2R, because even though the 0R fit me better in the chest and the hips I couldn't get it zipped around my waist. I have a tiny waist, but the material was not forgiving. I'm 5'7", and the R was a little short. Next time I will go with the L. It worked out great though, because I spent most the night dancing, and I didn't want to trip on the dress!
