This dress was beautiful. Flattering fit. The material was great. I wore it to a black tie wedding and I felt like I looked different but still understated. The only thing was that it has a tiny train and I kept stepping on it. But that's probably my issue more than the dress's. Loved it!

Wore this dress to a formal banquet. Elegant. Stylish. Got lots of compliments. Very comfortable and relaxed fit. As you can see, I have hips! So the comfortable fit was a huge thumbs up!

It fit wonderfully! Really hit all the right curves. Very flattering. I received compliments all night! I could wear a normal bra. This was my extra dress just in case the other didn't work out! Glad I chose it!

While the dress ran a little large - you can see the excess in the shoulders in my picture - overall the fit was fantastic and truly comfortable. I danced and had no issues at all, and the length was perfect with 3" heels (which I wish had been has comfortable as the dress). When it arrived, the dress did have some obvious wear in the form of loose and hanging threads, but most were either quickly remedied or in hard to see spots (like under the arm). I received TONS of compliments throughout the night, and even the next day, and would definitely wear this dress again (to a different event, ha).

Dress is true to size. My daughter is 5'3" and the length was perfect. She was able to wear flats. Dress is great for large breast women.

Length was perfect. You do reveal cleavage, but I was comfortable with it. If you don't like to show to much cleavage, than, this its for you. Overall, this dress is beautiful in all ways. Many compliments through the whole night. It does give you that hourglass figure look. The fabric wasn't tight, You could dance and walk very comfortable.

This dress was beautiful, and I got a TON of compliments at a black-tie work gala. The material had just the right amount of weight, and was insanely flattering. My chest fit perfectly (40D) in the size 16L, and I just wore my normal bra. Not really any cleavage to speak of for me, but if you're bustier then you might see some. The long length was a little on the long side - I'm 5'7" and had to wear platform heels for the dress to skim the floor. Next time I would have gone with the normal length. The zipper is a little difficult to zip by yourself, so make sure to get someone else to help you. The dress wore beautifully throughout the night and was insanely flattering over the tummy area (I carry a fair amount of weight in my stomach, and it looked good when I tried it on without spanx, but it looked even better with them on). I would say the sizing for this dress runs a tiny, tiny bit on the larger side - I got a 16L in another gown by the same designer and it was way too tight, and I know the 18 would have been too big. Overall, this was a stunning dress to wear to my first black-tie event!

Gold fabric was heavy and a little difficult to zip, but the fit was great. I should have opted for the longer length, as it was a little short for me. (but of course the longer sizes were unavailable on the dates I needed.) Overall, I got a lot of compliments on it, and I was very happy with the renting experience.

This dress fit true to size & the placement of the detailing was PERFECT! It accentuated all my positives & hid my negatives! PLUS.. The length was perfect even w/ my 3.5" heels added to my already 5'11" inch frame. I loved this dress & received sooo many compliments. definitely rent this dress.

I ended up ordering a few dresses for a December 20th wedding, and RTR had to send me a bunch of replacements due to damage to the dresses I originally selected. I tried all of them on so that I could review them. This dress looked great on. It had a good amount of stretch, wasn't too heavy, and was fairly comfortable. Also, don't let the model fool you, if you are a C cup or larger, you're going to get some cleavage in this dress. It did have a good sized area for the bust though. It also wasn't too long, it hit me just about right for 2-3" heels. I loved the gold accents on it as well. It is a more fitted dress, but it did run a bit large. I could get away without spanx in the larger size, so if you want it to be really form fitting, order a size down, if you want it a bit loose, order your actual size, and if you want it really loose, order a size up. I definitely would order this dress again, and actually wear it out to an event this time!

Fit was good..I ordered two dresses one in an 18-20 and this one in 18 only and it fit perfectly! It hugs curves very well and is a little long (I'm 5'4") so you will need a decent heel or platform style shoe. Also..don't wear this dress if you don't want attention to your breasts! It became a bit embarrassing that everyone kept making comments though!

I absolutely loved this dress! Rented for a Mardi Gras ball and it was perfect! The fit was great, I ordered just the one dress in 2 sizes: 14/16 and this was the 14. I have a large chest and was able to wear my regular bra. I also wore spanx just to keep smooth lines. But the dress is thick enough and designed well enough to not need them. The length was regular and was perfect, I'm 5'4 and didn't have to hold my dress all night. There is no zipper, it goes over your head but is extremely comfortable. I recommend this dress! I received compliments all night!

I ordered this dress for my brothers wedding (middle eastern) so we go all out. But my mom ended up loving it and made me give it to her so I let her because it is also perfect for mother of the groom. We both loved it but this is myself in the dress trying it on. I am a 38 DDD so the 14 felt better on the chest. My mom ended up wearing the 12. It is gorggg! We are both 5'3 so the regular was great

The fit was perfect. I am only 5'1" so with 3" heels it was just a tad too long but not so much so that I couldn't hold it up a bit when walking. It felt comfortable and luxurious the entire evening. If you are busy be aware that it does show cleavage. It really is a beautiful gown.

I was mostly concerned about the length, since I am only 5'2", but the dress turned out to be a great length. It's a little longer in the back than the front, so I ended up wearing SUPER high heels, just to keep it off the ground in the back, but I think I could have gotten away with a little shorter heel if I wanted and just made sure to hold the dress up a little while I walked. Other note, the dress looks better with a padded or push up bra (if you're like me, I'm more wide-chested than actually busty) It was a little hard to find a bra that didn't show in the chest hole of the dress, so keep that in mind, you may have to do some adjusting. Dress isn't clingy at all, so I actually got away with skipping the spanx, which was great too! Material is a little thick, so wouldn't suggest it for summer events, but mine was winter, so it was PERFECT! Loved it on me and so did my date ;)

The fit was great, I wish I could have taken it in a little more in the waist to really give me that hour glass shape but it was last minute. I am in love with this dress. What a great night celebrating at a Masquerade Party to celebrate a friend who is a SURVIVOR of Breast Cancer! I looked great in this dress!

It was wonderful, I felt completely comfortable in this gown. It accentuated the positive and the fit was perfect.

I rented this for a formal wedding and got the most compliments on it. I'm between at 14 and 16, which is what I ordered, then the 14 was unavailable and I was scared, but the 16 fit great. It wasn't loose at all fit just right, I probably would've chosen the 16 anyway, it was so comfortable. It does show some cleavage which I was perfectly fine with, but if that's a concern this might not be the dress for you. It was not heavy, it was not hot, it was easy to move in, as I stayed on the dance floor all night. Now worries about sweat stains or anything like that. The black through the mid-section really hides your belly. I'm 5'4 and the regular length was great, I wore high shoes in the beginning and then put on my flops and it barely drug the floor, perfect height for me. And the gold part that comes in on the sides is very slimming. It was great and so glad I got this dress.

I'm in between sizes sometimes... 16 and 18. The 18WR fit perfectly. The fabric is just thick enough to hide imperfections without being smothering. Also, I was able to wear a Spanx open bust body suit that was totally concealed.

The fit was great true to size. I absolutely loved the way it fit. Everyone was stunned.

I was fortunate enough to be able to go to the New York store to browse. I was so lucky to have Janine B as my stylist!! She was so wonderful to work with. If you're able to get to the NYC store, request Janine B!! She selected gowns that I never would have chosen and looked amazing on me. This own was the last I tried on and loved it. I normally wear 16 or 18 dress. For this gown I needed 16W and it was perfect.

The long was great with a little heel I'm 6' very comfortable and elegant

I loved everything about this dress, from the details to the fit. I received endless compliments and love how it looks in pictures. The dress is light and comfortable. I think it runs slightly big, and I could have went down a size.

Pros: super comfy to wear! great quality fabric, little stretch/give to it - I'm between a 14 & 16 and the 14WR was perfect, Reg length perfect to hide flats (what I wanted - but if you're taller than 5'4" you may want the Long), can wear a normal bra! Cons: lots of loose threads in gold areas from wear but they weren't noticeable in person. I was wary of ordering & felt like it might not be great on/in person & I was so wrong. I've NEVER been complemented more & wish I had more photos but was too busy having a blast! I paired it with the fab Moschino gold clutch from RTR!

I originally ordered a 20 and 18 because i had read that it fit small. The 20 was huge and the 18 for big. I could've pulled it off if i had to but i wanted to try for a 16. I wrote them and they over nighted me a 16 and it fit BEAUTIFULLY!. It was a nice heavy material so it clung to all the right places. The material didn't look good with a corset under it so i went without and it was fine. I thought it made the girls look fabulous as well! It has a Egyptian Princess look to it that i loved. It was also long enough to wear 4 inch heels. Def a head turner!

Just about everyone recognized the dress from RTR and Thank God no one else had it on. I wore flats and the dress hit me right at the floor and would rise up as I was walking. I do have wide hips so I'm going to blame that for the dress rising. The dress was comfortable to dance and walk around in. There is some leeway in the fabric which allows comfort while sitting. Received compliments throughout the night.

The fabric was great and I was comfortable all night. I did have to have my mom put in a temporary hem since I am short and the dress was very long.

Runs big. This fit like a glove. Curves for days and easy to dance in. Heels did catch a few times on back, but just held up back while walking.

The size I wore was a 16R and it fit great. I got the 18R for backup and it was a bit big.

Got tons of compliments on this gown. I am 5'6" and tried this dress on in the RTR showroom in NYC prior to ordering. Luckily we knew to order the LONG in my size (something I'd never really think I'd need since I'm average height). The length was perfect. My only complaint would be that the gold top sort of dug into my underarms and was scratchy but nothing I couldn't handle for 1 night. It was a great dress and was flattering.

I wore this dress to prom and it was completely worth it.

The associates picked this as a replacement rather than refund my money. I didn't wear the dress.

I wore this dress for my college senior ball. The dress accentuated my curves and looked great on me. I found shoes and a handbag to match the gold in the dress. I also accessorized the dress with gold and diamond earrings and bangles. Good choice... Thanks Rent The Runway...

I'm 5'5" tall, DD, and this dress flattered everything. My girls didn't look too big and the peek-a-boo was a great balance for modest and sexy. The gold on the side definitely flattered the waistline and gave the illusion of it being smaller. I would suggest however to order the long one for 5'5". The 14R fit really good by it was too short so I had to end up wearing the 16R. I got compliments all night on this dress. I would say its a bit heavy and will make you hot so not recommended for summer unless you'll be in a cold place or inside air conditioning.

The fix was perfect!

This dress was great - had a little stretch and overall fit well. There was some extra room in the stomach area that bunched a little bit if you didnt' watch it and pull down the sides, but otherwise was great. I got so many compliments on it, felt great and was super comfortable the whole night.

The dress fit well. Highlighted the curves well. But the shoulders were a bit wide so if you have slender shoulders you will feel its a bit bulky.

I have an annoying body that stores all it's fat in my abdomen and chin, so it's usually pretty difficult to find something that will fit all around and will flatter my figure. While it was flattering, the top had way too much room for boobs that I don't have. I safety-pinned it so as to avoid drooping/scrunching. This was the only problem, really, and I loved wearing the dress! It was also a hit with my friends. :)

Length and Size fit well. No discomfort during the event (wedding).
