I wore this dress for a formal wedding and received multiple compliments on it. It arrived in great condition and fit true to size. I rented the smallest size that RTR owned, a size 2, but actually could have used a size 0...but, made it work. I am petite with narrow shoulders, so I fluctuate between size 0/2. I wore a strapless demi bra though you could get away with straps as well. The pockets are a hidden bonus! I like the puffy bottom as I felt it added some formality for the event. I would definitely rent it again!

I would say that this dress ran a little bit small, it is very fitted around the waist. I wore the bigger size that was sent. All in all it was a great dress, very comfortable and looks great on.

The dress does run small I usually wear a 4/6 but the 10 fit me perfectly.

This is a beautiful dress for a holiday party. It fit me perfectly; the 8 would have been too snug. It's a bit low cut in front, but the lace adds a modest touch. I loved the length and the pockets are a bonus! I would definitely rent this again.

I loved wearing this dress. Super comfy (and it has pockets!) and I got SO many compliments. Literally, a red carpet reporter covering the event pulled me aside to tell me how great this dress was. I usually wear either a 4 or a 6, and the 4 fit me very nicely. Absolute stunner!

This dress was a total hit. Fit my frame perfectly - brought out my true waist and minimized my hips. It was a huge high-class gala that I was working so I needed to be dressed for the occasion but be comfortable enough to run around - this MORE than fit the bill. If there was one thing to note about the fit, it would be that the top lace was a bit loose and not completely flush to my body. I'm pretty busty so I was surprised. It wasn't really that big of a deal though - no one seemed to notice but me. Overall, I loved it and was a tad teary when I sent it back. I will definitely be renting it again.

Received the 8 and the 6 in this dress, both looked brand new. The 8 fit great. The waist is fitted and falls into a nice skirt. The lace on the upper body makes the dress really look more black, but in the right light you can see a hint of the underlayer, which is white- not silver. Love the pockets on this dress as they fit right into the skirt and do not give the bunchy illusion as some dresses with pockets. You can wear a regular bra with this, even though the back is a V back, it drops just above your strap line. The dress also has strap snaps on the shoulders if you are worried about slippage. The only thing i would tell you is be mindful of ordering the correct size. Too large and the lace uptop will not lay flat. Too small and you will never get it zipped past the waist. Overall, i didnt want to send it back: hope it goes up for sale soon because I loved it and so did our entire family.

I wore the 14 even though the 12 also zipped and fit. My 38D chest seemed like it fit better in the 14 and fell more where the natural bust-line was supposed to be. Women with large large busts should size up. I loved that it showed off some cleavage while still feeling covered up with the lace. I was able to wear a normal black bra. Be careful when you stand up, as the under-tulle skirt may need to be laid flat. The skirt is "poofy." I am 5'8" so this fell just above the knee. I loved how it hid my tummy since the waist sits very flatteringly above it. The zipper is a bit sticky.

Beautiful dress....perfect for a cocktail attire wedding, if not a bit fancier. The top is black lace, but the flash from photos makes the white underneath come through more than it does in person. The pockets were amazing and could hold a lot since the bottom was so large. Bottom of the dress was a bit too "poofy"....looks awesome standing, but makes it a bit difficult to sit and you have to remember the re-arrange the tulle underneath after visiting the ladies room or there could be a fashion disaster. Overall....loved it and would rent again. I wore the 8 because the 6 was a bit tight in the chest area and I wanted to be comfortable.

I wore this dress to a rehearsal dinner, and it was a big hit. It's a little snug in the chest, and you can see that the bodice rode up a bit on my torso. The zipper was a nightmare to get up, and I had to have someone else help me. But the struggle was well worth it! Best part of all: the dress has pockets! I could put my husband's entire wallet, and the fabric was weight down at all. As other reviewers said, this dress is NOT silver but white. It looks silver because of the lighting and flash photography. I would definitely rent this again, and I was very sad to send it away.

I rented this dress for a gala I attended with my boyfriend and his colleagues. This is a gorgeous dress, the details are very lovely and an added bonus is that it has pockets! The dress is a bit of a heavier material, which makes this perfect for fall or winter. The size 8 fit me perfectly, but as I have a larger chest, I opted to wear the 10 so women with larger chests should probably size up. I also opted for a red clutch to give the look that pop of color. I only have 2 warnings about the dress. The first is that while you can wear a regular bra with it, that bra must be solid black (i.e. don't wear anything with a pattern or different color) and it must be a demi bra given the cut of the dress (the lace of course adds some coverage but obviously you can see through). The second is that the dress does not have those handy little straps under the shoulders, where you can take the little piece of fabric and hook your bra strap to the dress so people cannot see your bra straps. I was having to readjust my bra straps under the dress constantly. It was the one thing missing from the dress! Otherwise, fantastic dress, yet another RTR success!

Loved that it fit over my chest and the lace was perfect to cover the cleavage (I am a 34F). The flare at the bottom was a great touch and the length was a little long (hit just below my knees) but I am also only 5'2. Highly recommend! I got so many compliments :)

I'm usually a 6 but this fit like a glove - the pockets are deep and you can wear a regular bra. Formal-ish for a short dress

What a beautiful dress! I received several compliments. The fabric feels heavy and lux. The peek-a-boo lace is tastefully flirty. I LOVE the pockets! The only negative is that it was hard to zip past the waistband, but a quick assist from hubby solved that problem. He, by the way, loved this dress as well!

I wore this to a formal 25th anniversary celebration in the summer. It was formal, but fun enough that I didn't take myself too seriously. I got tons of compliments on the dress. It's a middle-of-the-road kind of dress. Not too casual, not too stuffy. I liked the heavy fabric!

I loved this dress.... But the top was so tight I could barely breathe all night. I am a 36DDD so that was likely part of the problem. I wish I could have gone one more size up to give the girls some breathing room. It was gorgeous though and a good length for a wedding.

This was a backup dress, so I didn't actually wear this for the party I went to. But I did wear it just for the heck of it to church the next day. I usually wear a size 6, but this was a bit snug. I also had some issues with the zipper, but not because the dress was a bit tight. There was still enough room that the zipper shouldn't have been that stiff.

This is a classically beautiful dress for any semi-formal occasion. I wore it for a New Year's Eve party and got many compliments. My husband, who barely ever takes notice of what I wear, even asked me if I could buy and keep this dress! The only thing was this dress ran a size small in my opinion, so I advise sizing up. I am big busted, so it was too tight on top to wear a bra. Other thing: the zipper is difficult to zip and unzip when wearing, so you will probably need help zipping. Other than those factors, really a high quality, well built dress.

This was my first Rent the Runway experience and I was very impressed! The dress was beautiful and the service was fantastic. I was really nervous because I'm very picky and don't like the way most things look on me, but I was desperate for a dress after not finding anything I liked in multiple stores, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the 8 and the 10, not knowing what my normal size was. I got the 8 on but it was very tight in the waist. I could have worn it but I preferred to have some room to breathe, so I wore the 10. Unfortunately the zipper on the 10 was pretty terrible (it also seemed to be coming off the dress), but after about 15 minutes of 4 people helping me, we finally got it up. The dress looked great and I loved the pockets! So nice to not have to bring a purse! I also loved the little bit of poof at the bottom, it was really fun for dancing! One thing I didn't love was that the lace over the chest didn't lay flat, probably because I'm more of a petite and it was intended for someone taller/with broader shoulders. It wasn't too big of a deal though, it still looked nice in pictures and I forgot about it quickly.

This dress was awesome! I'm 5'3 and it came down to the lower part of my knee. While the lace covers the cleavage, I would have felt it a bit risque for some family situations.

The pros - can be worn with a regular bra, and side pockets are quite nice. The cons - it does run small, so I did I have to go up to sizes.

Fit is very small, so please size up, maybe even by two sizes. Very pretty dress, of very good quality, but it was hard getting it zipped up, even when I sized up. My husband thought I looked very good.

I rented this for New Year's Eve and it was a very nice dress. It fit great everywear except right around the rib cage (too tight) and was extremely difficult to zip up over the fabric creases at the waist. I wore it for a few hours but had to take it off early because the rib cage was uncomfortably tight. I wish I could have worn it longer because it was super cute!

Was a wonderful dress, I was sad that it ran so small in the busy. Make sure you order at least a size or two up. RTR was easy and wonderful to deal with and return the dress. Luckily I has a backup.

I could not wear this because it would not zip up around my bust (36H). Everywhere else was extremely loose. It was a beautiful dress and I wish it would have fit.

I am usually an 8-10 and think I would should have been a 14 in this style. That's a huge difference so take note to order a much larger size than you would ever even consider! Lucky for me I ordered another dress and it worked instead. Loved the way the clothes are shipped, came in perfect condition,and so easy to return. Well done! I will try RTR again!

zippers on this dress are way to hard to get up i ordered the 12 and 14 neither one fit was disappointed.

This dress will be beautiful if you are a D cup or smaller -- MAYBE a DD. But as a 34DDD, it was not gonna happen for me! With a second person's help, we were able to wrestle the zipper up, but my chest was uncomfortably and unattractively smashed. That being said, I otherwise LOVED the dress. It is a beautiful fabric, flattering shape, interesting design...and it has pockets!

Fit perfect, fabric good quality, perfect length as hit just above knee. Great fit for a women of my age. Would rent it again.

Zipper was a bit difficult to zip up (even when the dress wasn't on). Other than that, the material wasn't stretchy so I recommend wearing some sort of shape wear underneath. It probably runs a smidgen small but not enough to size up. Overall great dress.

I rented this dress for a work cocktail hour. The dress was perfect, I also liked that you could wear a normal bra with it as well. It is also a chic classy look with out showing too much. Overall loved it!

Very cute dress! A bit shorter than I usually wear, bit still modest. Pretty lace bodice and hem. Pockets! The lining on the bodice is very low cut. I was unable to wear a regular bra without it showing.

I am very much an apple, so I was worried about the waist line (to give you some context, I wear a size 0 or 2 in any pant, and dress size is typically 4-6 because of my belly). This dress still was very flattering.

The fabric is very stiff which was actually very flattering; gave me an hourglass figure and made my waist look tiny. The lace bodice is a little low cut (wear a low cut bra) but very sexy and not too revealing. I felt great in the dress; got tons of compliments!

I think the dress looks great as long as you are standing. When you sit down, it looks bulky below the waist.
