I wore this dress to a wedding in Arizona last weekend. Though the material was a bit thick for the 100* weather, the fit was snug yet comfortable and the length was perfect. With the high neckline in front, I was thankful for the lower back to balance it out. The material is structured enough to go braless and maintains the darted full skirt. I wore my own belt (a thin black leather belt with a gold hardware clasp) to add a bit of my own style. I also splurged on gold drop earrings and a bracelet (and went without a necklace). The 2 fit me in the Soho store but the 4 was more comfortable - especially in the arm holes. I have a long, straight torso and this dress gave me a skinny waistline! I received an overabundance of complements and felt so pretty and regal. I would totally rent this dress again.

I did a reading at my friend's wedding and wanted to be formal but still comfortable since I had to get up in front of 200 strangers. I'm busty but it was such a great combination of structured and comfortable that I didn't need to wear a bra. I have narrow hips and the full skirt perfectly balanced out my shoulders. It's perfect for top heavy gals. And it has pockets so I could dance all night and keep my phone nearby without sacrificing my wine glass!

It is not easy finding a flattering fit with a quality fabric in a plus size. Usually there's a whole lot of fabric that is useless. I did find a special strapless bra as the bust area is fitted and a regular bra just didn't fill the space well. Got lots of compliments and didn't feel that the dress was "too young" for my age or my body type. Loved it so much just rented again for an engagement party. Got lots of compliments- especially about the unique fabric.

OMG this dress is everything. It fit so perfectly and is STUNNING in person. I wore it to a family wedding and received compliments all night. It's incredibly comfortable, easy (no special bras/panties needed!) and flattering as well, especially for hourglass or pear shapes. I rented size 4 and 6 and honestly couldn't tell the difference between the two. I went with the 6 because the clasp was broken on the 4. It went perfectly with the Slate and Willow necklace I rented. I wanted to keep it and wear it permanently. Can't wait to rent it again!!

I selected this dress when my first pick had been returned too damaged, and I'm so happy I ended up with this one! I received compliments all night at the reception, and couldn't have felt more confident in it. Pockets were very convenient, material was light enough to stay comfortable dancing all night. I LOVED this dress and wish I could've kept it forever! It fit me like a glove. I read a number of people complain about it being a bit too tight in the shoulders/chest, but that was not the case for me. I have a very short torso and usually need to have straps brought up - this dress fit PERFECT as is, which is so rare! It was super high quality fabric, a stiff-but not uncomfortable material. Oh, and pockets for the win!

Such a fun dress. Comfortable and great to dance in. Wore this for a November wedding. The RnR stylist in the SoHo store made me try it on because i would have NEVER picked it out. Within seconds of putting it on I didnt even try the rest of them on. I rented this one. LOVED. (I would say order one size up for rib cage, I'm a 32 bust and a size 4 normally and it was a little tight so I got the 6)

Very comfortable to wear and I chose to go without a bra because the back is pretty low. Because of the fabric and the construction of the dress, the girls stayed right where they belonged! The pockets came in handy for Kleenex at the wedding ceremony. Lots of compliments. I wish I owned this dress!

Bust fit a little snug

Had a wedding at an Opera House and my first choice did not come in. RTR got this dress to me in 1 day and it worked perfect. Loved the cut of the dress, the pockets and the fabric. My chest was little tight in the fabric up top but overall it was a perfect dress!

I wore this dress for a fundraiser at a private club where the dress code was cocktail attire. I received compliment after compliment! I am normally a size 0 or 2, In this dress, I needed a 0. It is a classic style. It fit me perfectly and made the most of my figure. It made my waist look small and the poofy-ness of the dress allowed it to cover any tummy bulge. Yes, its poofy but I personally think it is a very pretty and sophisticated look. Classy length for me . No shortening needed. The black and shiny gold went well together in the pattern. The metallic gold looked like large gold paint strokes. I wore black Ferragamo platform open toe pumps. Gold could have worked too. Same with accessories. I wouldn't mind owning this dress!!!

The dress fit perfectly, I am 5'8 1/2" and it was perfectly long enough. The colors were gorgeous and really popped. I got tons of compliments and everyone wanted to know where I got it!

I wore this dress to the NYC Foodbank "Can Do" Awards! The outfit was perfect with the earrings and clutch that I got from RTR as well. The dress I thought fit kinda snug at the top so I wore the size 4 for extra breathing room as to my usual 2. Anyone recognize this guy? This is Joe Morton aka. There's no stretch to the fabric, so it was a bit tight in the bust area, but not uncomfortably so. Overall the 10 and the 12 fit very similarly on top, but the 12 had more fabric in the skirt area. I wore the 10 for that reason. It was a very fun and beautiful dress and a great first Rent the Runway experience! I can't wait to rent another dress in the future!

The fabric is really structured, which is nice for a girl my size. The skirt is a little bit fuller than in the pic, which is great for a party - it helped to create a more enhanced hour glass frame. I did find it a little snug in the boob area (I wear a 40E), but this dress is a winner and I will definitely rent it again! Definitely rent the necklace with it - they go so well together!

Wore this dress to a late afternoon wedding. It was so comfortable! I loved the fitted bodice flowing into the skirt. Perfect for my curves. I was afraid of the gold but took a chance. The fabric is a little stiff, like a crepe and the gold print was a lot softer on the fabric than in the picture on the site. There is no give in the fabric but it fit just fine anyway.

Great dress. It was a little big in the bodice but barely noticeable. The dress ran small overall but I expected that with a formal dress. LOVED the pockets. Highly recommend.

Loved this dress. Received so many compliments. If you are planning to wear and regular bra, it may prove a bit challenging in the back. I am a 34B and since the dress was thicker in material, I opted not to wear one and felt very supported. I would definitely rent this again. The gold streaks in the dress are all metallic and stunning. This has been my second experience with rent the runway.... and will most likely never buy another gown again. Well worth the money!

I received my first set of dresses (sizes 0 & 2) on a Thursday night (PST) and found out, neither size fit. My event was that Saturday and I panicked. I emailed their customer service asking to overnight 2 new sizes (4 & 6). On Friday, I called the customer service line and they told me they had received my email, that 2 new sizes were on their way to Seattle, and it was free of charge! The package arrived just in time for the event on Saturday and I looked good! Thank you, RTR for a wonderful dress and for your outstanding customer service.

I LOVED this dress! Wore it for a friend's winter engagement party. Fit perfectly, loved the included belt accessory, and wore simple stud earrings that wouldn't take away from all the gold shimmer this dress offered! Only downside is that it doesn't have bra strap holders, so I decided to go bra-less because the ribbing offers fine support for those of us with not much up top! Highly, highly recommend this dress, and can't wait to rent it again and again and again.

This dress was perfect for a benefit dinner I attended at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City! It was so luxurious: great texture, color, and a perfect fit. So flattering...it even had fun and functional pockets! 100% satisfied with my experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fabulous, formal look.

I absolutely loved this dress. It fit perfectly and made me stand out--I received tons of compliments from other wedding guests. Many people also asked me where I got the dress. I was looking for something classy and comfortable for my friend's evening wedding at an art museum. The dress looked flawless, despite the fact that I was in a rush getting ready and completely forgot to wear the belt! I paired it with a pair of black closed-toed pumps and a chunky jewel statement necklace which seemed to complete the look. I would highly recommend renting this dress for a wedding or semi-formal/formal event!

We hosted a holiday party and this was the perfect hostess dress. It was very comfortable with a flattering fit. My waistline looked tiny in this dress. The material is really beautiful, and I got compliments all evening. I really loved the fact that it has pockets! I'd definitely rent this dress again.

One of my favorite RTR rentals ever. This was SO flattering; the waist hit at the thinnest part of my waist and the structure/flare was perfection. I would even feel comfortable wearing this at an office cocktail party, though the back is a teeny bit low. A word of caution: I am VERY small chested, and this was pretty snug around the bust. Size up if you've got assets.

The fit was absolutely true to size for me. I tried it on as soon as I received it and it fit like a glove. It fit nicely around the shoulders and was still quite comfortable to move around in around the waist area and the length was perfect. I am 5'3'' and it fell right above my knees. I received so many wonderful comments on this dress! It is quite a fun dress, especially when you have a new year's eve wedding to attend! :) And the best part, it has pockets!! :) Loved it!!! Wish I could have kept it longer! :)

Rented this dress for New Year's Eve and loved it. It was beautifully made, in excellent condition and fit perfectly. One of the reasons I love RTR is that it lets me try out styles and shapes I would never wear before. I almost always wear straight sheath-like dresses, but loved this A-line. The material is heavy but not hot, so it hides any lumps or bumps ( a definite plus for someone like me in her late 50's!). The underskirt of tulle helps the skirt keep its flouncy shape all night, yet it did not itch. Amazing! Great to dance in. I accessorized with gold jewelry and Black d'Orsay Manolos with gold. Kept it pretty simple because the dress stands out all on its own. I was a little concerned when I rented it that it might overwhelm me with all the gold pattern but it did not. I did wear a strapless bra as the dress sits a bit off-shoulder and even with clear bra straps they showed. I did not want to be tugging at them all night.

This dress is great for an evening cocktail or holiday party. This is a classic shape most body types can pull off. I usually wear a size 0 and sometimes 2 and I ended up going with a size 2 with a little extra space in the chest area as I am a 32 A. This is the perfect holiday party dress - I wore it to my boyfriend's holiday party and received many compliments. The gold detail in the dress is a nice touch, without being too flashy/overwhelming. The skirt is definitely full, but again, not so much so that you look like a cupcake. I would definitely recommend this dress to anyone looking for a special, festive dress to wear around the holidays.

I rented this dress for a formal event at the Bel-Air Country Club in early December and it was simply perfect for the occasion. Beautiful dress! It fit me nearly perfect, it was just a touch tight under the arms and a little loose around the bust (though I have a small bust), but I felt it fit true to size. The colors are perfect for the holiday season and the fit was really flattering. It was a touch longer - about at my knees - and I liked that, it was a very classic silhouette and perfect for holiday parties and formal work events. I would highly recommend this dress! I got so many compliments on it all evening - it's just amazing!

When my original dress order didn't arrive in time for a black-tie dinner (it was UPS' fault, not RTR's), I had to rush to the storefront in Manhattan to try to find a replacement. RTR saved the day! The stylists were great and picked a dress that was honestly way better for the event than the one I'd ordered online. The cut is very flattering and the dress is comfortable. It even has pockets!
