It was a great fit and the fabric is gorgeous in person. I felt great in it. One thing I had to adjust/improvise on were the straps. They were way too long for me so I pulled the dress higher and tucked them inside since they aren’t adjustable.

Wore it to see Little Shop on Broadway, and this ridiculously perfect backdrop was right outside our hotel. Since I’m short, the straps were too long so I just tucked them in and wore it as a strapless. The dress had no trouble staying up without them.

It's always a risk to rent a dress that has no reviews but this dress was worth the risk! Material - Because the dress is heavily embroidered, there is some weight and thickness to the velvet-like material. As such, this dress is more appropriate for fall/winter events. Also of note, in person the gold embroidery shines a lot more than what is shown in the stock photo. Fit/Style- Overall, this dress is a great fit and flare style with a little flow. While it does not have internal boning, the bodice is pretty structured/inflexible at the waistband and the material is thick enough you do not need to wear a bra underneath. You may need to pull the dress down your ribcage or you could use fashion tape or safety pins. The waistband hit me just above the belly button when I used the pulldown method and was tolerably tight. Overall, a beautiful dress perfect for a formal event.

This fit really nicely but it took powerful strength to pull the zipper over the bunching of fabric in the back. Very fancy looking, perfect for a black tie optional wedding

This fit true to size! The skirt is stiffer than I expected, not a lot of flow or movement. But the embellishments are so pretty and makes it feel more luxurious.

Worse this to a gala with an “in bloom” theme and loved it

This dress is perfection! It was fun and easy to wear. I received compliments all night long. My only complaint is that the band at the waist was a little tight. If you have a cocktail attire event coming up, you should absolutely rent this one!

Loved the fit and feel of this dress! Felt gorgeous all night! It was a bit snug on top, but the velvet straps and ribbon hid anything that spilled over a little :) The gold shimmers in the most beautiful way! Perfect for a garden party themed gala.

I wore this to a spring wedding but it’d be great also in winter since it’s on the thicker side. It is a bit scratchy, it chafed me a bit under my arms from all the dancing (lol) but was overall a very comfortable yet sophisticated look! I ordered a 2 and 4, the 2 fit perfectly.

This was within an a few centimeters of being too tight to wear at all. I'm a size 28" waist and no give. Lovely color, fit, and fabric - the skirt is not my style.

Still receiving compliments from wearing this dress several days after the event. I absolutely loved it and only wish I took more pics. Wore black kitten heals and gold jewelry.

such a gorgeous dress! the material was stunning. it has so much shine to it & looks so expensive and lux. I actually didn’t expect to love it as much as I did based on other photos. It was perfect for a cocktail/formal wedding because of the length and straps but the material elevates it. The only thing I wish was a little tighter was the chest area.. I probably should have gone between a 4 and 6 instead of 6 and 8.

Very comfy and easy to wear. It runs small so size up. The waist does not stretch at all. I usually wear a 2. Material is beautiful and the black velvet accents give it such a lovely look. Fun to dance in. A good twirl. A stranger asked to borrow it next weekend on the dance floor. Wish it had pockets is my only complaint.

Loved being able to rent this dress as it is very eclectic. The fit was perfect and had great shape to it.

I felt gorgeous in this dress, and I received many compliments throughout the night! I picked up the skirt a tad when I danced. The bows on the shoulders are sewed down and I wasn’t sure whether or not they should’ve been loosened, but they were cute nonetheless. Fitted around the waist and my girls up top felt secure!

Kinda scratchy fabric, so if you’re sensitive to that, may not be the best option. Velvet straps with bows were super cute!

Both of the sizes fit me, size 8 and 10, though, there was more wiggle room in the 10 and I was sent in a dress that had been altered at the straps, which actually made it fit better at the bust compared to the 8. The 8 was pretty snug around the ribs, again, would have been fine, though knowing you eat and sitting, standing at a wedding, went with what felt comfortable with wiggle room for the 10. Straps again run big. The dress is soooo flattering on a Mom Bod figure, I'm 5'5 145 with 3 C-sections, if you know, you know. Lots of compliments as well! Highly recommend!

The print is elegant and classy. It fits perfectly like it was custom made for me. I got a lot of compliments all through the night. If the pictures doesn't amaze you enough... I can say that It is much more beautiful in person and when worn.

Sooo many compliments! Had to size up on this because no give in the waist. the pinch at the waist on the smaller size created an unflattering roll. Glad I picked the bigger size for my second pick.

Beautiful dress but the ribbon around the torso was tight when sitting, was annoyed with it by the end of the night. Should have sized up for this one. Fabric is also a little itchy.

I wore a much larger size than usual because I just had a baby and am large! That said, this dress did a nice job of hiding leftover belly. Tighter in chest so I could wear a bra underneath, but material is thick and sturdy enough that I didn't need one. The gold is shinier in person than it appears in photos.

This dress would’ve been absolutely perfect in my size. They only had the 14 available when I am usually a 12 and can sometimes get away with a 10. It was gapping at the bust and waist. I tried it with a belt, but the fabric gathered too much. The straps with velvet ribbons also felt a bit flimsy, not as Luxe as they look in the picture.

Great party dress. no give around rib cage so plan accordingly. I felt it was too tight in that ear, it was a great dress but I was ready take it off after a couple hours.

As a small gal this made me look like a child. Did not wear. The structured bottom is the problem.

The velour straps make the look very outdated. I didn’t like it at all.

The material is textured and shiny which catches light nicely.
