I rented this for my birthday party and it was a really fun dress. I will say that I'm small chested and it would have fit a lot better if I would have filled out the top more. Never the less, I got lots of compliments. Glad I heeded the advice about this dress running small and ordered a size larger than normal for my backup.

I loved this dress! Luckily I ordered a size up for the backup because my normal size did not fit, so I think it does run a little small. Technically the 12 did fit (I wore the 14) but it was a little tight so I wanted to be more comfortable, but the 14 did gape a little bit around the chest (not enough for me to not wear it though). I felt so elegant and classy in this, and also got a bunch of compliments. It also has pockets, which of course makes any dress better. The material is very high quality, thick and sturdy, so I wouldn't recommend it for a summer wedding--luckily the wedding I went to was in November.

Loved this dress! Dressy enough for a black tie event and great if you are on the short side. A little tight in the rib cage but thank goodness for the poof over the tummy. Fantastic dress! Would rent again :)

This dress was stunning and I got so many compliments! The size 8 fit perfectly and was quite flattering with its unique neckline. The pockets were wonderful and I loved them. I paired the dress with sparkly rose gold shoes for a bit of fun and I think they looked great. This was a great dress!!

This was not my original choice, but I'm so glad it was my back up. I love it!! I rented it for a charity event and felt so beautiful. I'm a curvy, tall girl & this fit me so well. The unique neckline was fabulous! Absolutely recommend it!!

I ordered this dress for a state awards dinner where I was a nominee. I decided Id rather be over dressed than under dressed & I had never attended before. This dress is stunning. I have never felt more beautiful or received more compliments in my life. I am very athletic (swim, yoga, pilates, weights) yet I have hips that don't lie-super curvy. I prefer a fit & flare because it hides the bits I am not comfortable with. In the waist this fit like it was made for me-however I have a very narrow rib cage and chest wall. If I had purchased this dress I would have to have it altered by about 2" on each side in the chest/rib cage. I wore this dress to the event because if I kept my arms by my side then you could not see the gaps. However, looking back at the pictures I now see how big it really was. Even with all of that I am in love with this dress. The color is stunning and the halter neck details are classy and elegant. I would rent again and maybe size down. There was not a 12 available for a back-up when I ordered this dress.

The whole whole experience was great. I would definitely use this service again. The dress fit very well and option to have a back-up size gave me peace of mind.

Such a pretty and comfortable dress. It has a very dressy appeal to it and the length makes it appropriate for many events. The dress fit me true to size, but I would size up for the back up size because the fabric has not stretch and it's fitted at natural waist. A strapless bra will work, or no bra at all as I did. I love that the dress has pockets!!

I was surprised of the sizes. She normally wears an 8 or 10. This dress fit large for the size. The best was the quality of the fabric, simplicity and it has pockets!!! My daughter is a Freshman 5'10" and weighs 140. She is a swimmer so she wanted to show off her arms.

The fit of this dress is great, and the color was perfect for a fall black tie event. The sequin detail scratched the inside of my arms when dancing, only reason I rated it a 4 inside of 5. Even still, I'd rent again.

Dress was beautiful and material was smooth and elegant. Normally a 12 which is what I wore and it fit perfectly, not too smug. Can be tight around the ribcage so if between sizes I would go up one. Would recommend!

This dress was perfect! It was actually my backup dress, but I loved it. It was perfect for a cocktail attire wedding. The shape and length were great, as well as the flattering neckline/straps... plus, it has pockets!

The dress fit great and I was comfortable all night long.

This dress is form fitting but hits in all the right places. The color is amazing and it was perfect for the cocktail party I attended.

I wore this dress to an evening rehearsal dinner. I loved the style, fit, and color of this dress. It's very flattering and perfect for an evening event. And it has pockets! It runs true to size but the top was a tad big. With the right bra, it's fine for a B cup but for smaller busts than that, it may not work. For a backup size, I would size down. The only downside to this dress was that the sequins adorning the top do get a bit irritating under your arms by the end of the night, but not terrible.

Beautiful dress. Thick, quality material and cut at the top is unique. I'm usually a 10 but sometimes can wear an 8 if dress runs large. I suspect I would have needed at least a 12. Wouldn't zip. Rich, pretty color. I'd definitely try to rent again but would size up!

The material was not very stretchy. This was not the most comfortable dress, but pretty.

I wore this for a work party and it held up really well for a long event. No wrinkles and it was fairly comfortable. Cons - the straps rubbed across my shoulders, and the fit at the ribcage was pretty snug, like a corset. Pros - pockets and the perfect length - right at the knee.

I did not wear this dress as I decided to wear the long gown for the Black Tie event. But this is a beautiful dress, slimming in the waist and flares out at the hips. Material is gorgeous.

Fits extremely well and is extremely elegant. I LOVED the pockets! The only drawback was the embellishment on the top of the dress rubbed the sides of my arm and they were a bit sore the next day. This passed within a day though, and was definitely worth the evening out.

Beautiful dress. I listened to other reviewers and sized down for the back-up size. I was glad I did. I am usually a six but wore the four because the bust on the six was too big. That meant it was tight around the neck and ribcage--it didn't bother me too much, but if you have a big bust and are pnigophobic this may not be the dress for you. The lining on the particular dress I wore was too long, and even though it had been folded and ironed up, it still dropped below the hemline. I had to make a last minute dash to the pharmacy for fashion tape, which solved the problem.

Rented to wear to a fundraising event. Loved the color of the dress. However, didn't like the overall fit of the dress. I carry my weight in my hips & mid section. The 12 was too small that I couldn't get the dress zipped up. The 14 fit around my hips & mid section, but was then too big in the in the top. Was bummed the dress didn't workout. Rent the Runway's customer service did a fabulous job helping me pick out a replacement.

As many said in the reviews, this dress does NOT stretch. I fit in both sizes but I knew I'd be more comfortable in my back-up larger size just because of the lack of stretch. Also, it was rather long on my 5'1" frame, and actually went past my knees. Not my fave RTR, but I'm sure it would work better for some other taller folks!

I rented but did not wear due to the top being rather large and the straps were not adjustable. I did not like the fit.

Didnt end up wearing this because the top was too loose ... on my 34D chest. Also note, the zipper is really tough. May not want to wear this dress without a companion.

Top is big in the arm pit area, gapes out. And Im a 36D. Flair from the waist a little full as well.
