Slightly snug in the ribcage, but my ribcage runs a little larger. I got the 8 Petite, so I was able to wear strappy stilettos with no platform and the length was perfect. I don't love my arms, so the gauzy fabric covered them, but also added some interest to the dress. The color is neutral, so I was able to go bright with my accessories. I got SO many compliments!

The dress fit beautifully. They did not have the 10P in stock, or I would have worn that. It was very comfortable and hid my flaws well! Even the petite was a little long --I am 5'4" and wore 3 inch heels and it was still just touching the ground.

This dress was very comfortable to wear and perfect for the chilly air-conditioned event that I attended. My shoulders are a bit broad so the sleeves didn't drape down as low as I would have liked. This dress is perfect if you need something more conservative but still looks stunning.

My first choice was way too long, so I went with this one. I still had to wear 5in heels to make it work. This dress is better in person and so classy. I was at an event with over 3000 people and 2 people stopped me to tell me my dress was their favorite of the night.

Sizing was perfect. Length was a little long but with some kitten heel it fell fine! Very comfortable.

I wore this to a black tie work party, and it was perfection. The fabric is thick and flattering, with enough stretch to give but enough structure to hold everything in. The cape added an element of whimsy. The silhouette was a great hourglass shape. The size 8 was a little snug, but I'm glad I wore it instead of the 10 because once I got it zipped, it fit beautifully. I was easily able to move, sit, stand, and dance the night away. It's sexy but with enough coverage you could wear it in a professional or formal/conservative event, but you could also rock it at an evening wedding (or even as a bridesmaid dress!)

I wore this to a friend's wedding the Friday after Thanksgiving. I rented the 8L and 10L. After trying on both I opted for 8L because it fit better in the waist but the straps did dig a little in the shoulders towards the end of the night because of my bust size. Overall, I loved the dress! Another great rental!

I'm 5'5 and 140 lbs and usually wear a 6 for dresses, I got a 4R and 6R, the 4 was tighter and more shaping but a little shorter and so I went with the 6! I loved the Fit it's super flattering even if you have a little stomach pouch. It also stretches really well for dancing and walking around comfortably! And it's super elegant, totally loved this dress, wish I could have kept it:(

I'm so glad I rented this dress. The 10L that I originally ordered was extremely long and very loose in my thighs area. I called RTR and they FedEx the 8R. I was elated when I tried it on and it perfectly fit me! This dress has a bit of a stretch to it. I wore a strapless bra and of course, Spanxs. I would like to keep this dress in my closet! It is elegant, sophisticated, and sexy.

After my original rental didn't fit, I picked this up at the Georgetown store. It didn't have the shawl that is shown in pictures (and I had no idea until I went to submit this that it was supposed to) but I actually think that worked to my benefit. This dress is an almost - mermaid style that beautifully accents your waist. It does run a bit big - this is a size down from my normal size and it still fit, albeit a 4 definitely would have fit better. It is LONG. In 4 inch heels and at 5'10 the long still touched the ground in the front. It also has a slight train, so if you're going to a crowded event, prepare yourself for people to step on the back of your dress. All together, this dress is an absolute stunner. 10/10 would rent again.

Great structure through bodice and beautiful fabric . At 5'2" with some killer heels it was the perfect length. Deep blue color made me feel like a standout from a sea of black dresses

This was my first Rent the Runway dress, and I was sooo nervous! At just 5'1 and curvy, I'm not the easiest body to dress. Plus, I recently had a baby and am carrying excess weight, especially in my chest and hips (130 lbs and 36DD). The dress arrived right on time for the gala we were attending and fit like a glove! Wearing four-inch heels, the length was perfect. It had plenty of give and amazingly, for a formal, was very comfortable! I also liked the extra coverage on my arms, and it helped balance out my hips. I received lots of compliments and felt confident and beautiful. I highly recommend it!

I wore this dress for a black tie charity function. It had a kick train in the back which made it look even more elegant. I was working the event, so I wanted something somewhat conservative, but still elegant. This dress was a home run. I got compliments galore to the point that even the waitstaff was telling me how beautiful the dress was on me! I am 5'8" so the 8L was perfect with a 3.5 inch heel. The bodice is fitted through the hips, which is my problem area, but with the navy color (and a great pair of spanks) I never felt hippie. The sheer draping did seem a little stretched out so kept falling a little more off, but perhaps that is intentional. I don't have a large chest (32c) and felt like someone with a bigger chest would still have room. I wanted to stay in this dress forever!!

Fit like a dream! This was my daughter's first formal. She wanted to go for a simple, elegant look and this dress was perfect. Fabric was very comfortable, but not stretchy. She is 5'7" and wore a regular length and with her heels it was a perfect length. The lines of this dress somehow gave her a little more of a figure. She looked amazing! But I am her Mom!

The fit of this dress was true to size. Upon receiving it (ahead of schedule-yea!) the dress itself looked brand new and never worn. It was exactly as it looked on the website. I felt beautiful and received many compliments throughout the night. I will be coming back to RTR for my next event! May even try adding some accessories this time! A+

Perfect fit. I am 5'4" with a 34DD Bust and weigh about 150 lbs. This dress couldn't have been a more perfect fit. There is just enough stretch in the fabric to be quite comfortable. I highly recommend this dress!! I wore the 8R and found it to run true to size. Very figure flattering.

This dress is beautiful and is extremely flattering. I wore the neckline in a different way- preferred the cleaner line. My only complaint is that because it's heavy after wearing for many hours the straps dug in and hurt! I wore for a summer wedding that was indoors, because it's lined and a heavier fabric it would not be ideal for summertime if you will be outdoors a lot.

This dress is a very dark blue and incredibly flattering. However, it shows everything so you have to watch what you eat. I'm a size zero and have a flat belly but still had to wear spanx while hardly eating all day. The dress is very long and I had to pin it up a few inches though I had on 6" heels. You'll need to steam the top before wearing because its wrinkled. (My measurements are: 5'2", 105lbs, short torso and long inseam 31", waste to floor 39"). Finally, for those trying to figure out if it will fit, I cannot wear petite sizes though small in frame.

I'm a little larger than normal right now, and my original dresses were way too form fitting for my current bod. luckily I had time to go to the RTR store in NYC and the stylists rescued me by selecting this beauty! Nice, thick material hugged my curves in all the right places and the off-shoulder draping was very unique and pretty. This was a great, comfortable dress for a night of dancing! And it's a dark enough navy to wear with black shoes too. Definitely recommend!

Loved this dress! Great cut and flattering-- really liked the shear on top of my upper arms (since they're not as toned as I might like). Conservative without being frumpy and great, heavy fabric was very flattering. Loved it. I'm 5'6 and wore 3.5" heels, but the 12P fit like a dream-- the shorter torso fit me much better than the regular.

Comfortable flattering dress. The cut and length was true to form and I was able to wear 1" heels.

I loved this dress. Several people came up to me and complimented my dress and how beautiful and classy it was. This will definitely capture attention at a formal event or black tie wedding. I am 5'10" and usually wear a 6 long but the 4 long was perfect. Order a back up size one size smaller then your normal size.

This dress came in as an emergency replacement for two dresses that did not fit and it was actually quite perfect for a black tie optional wedding. It was a beautiful material and so well without being too fitted. This year material over the bodice was complementary for large chested women. The petite size was quite long on me despite being 5 foot three and 4 inch heels.

Perfect for my pear shape. The off-the-shoulder top helped balance out my hips. Got many compliments.

This dress is amazingly beautiful and easy to wear in a few styles. I got lots of compliments, felt appropriately attired for a black tie wedding and at the end of the evening didn't want to take it off even though I was super tired from dancing (comfortably)!

Where to even start... if you're even considering renting this glorious dress, do yourself a favor and order it! This incredible gown fit my curves and was sexy, and somehow still stretchy enough to dance the night away! The fabric is thick, comfortable, and was forgiving on my "middle heavy" frame. I'm 5'10' and this perfectly reached the ground. It 1was so unique and compliments flowed all night. Fell head over heels for this and will absolutely rent again if not save up to buy one of my own!

This is a figure hugging dress that's both elegant and sassy at the same time and worked well for my brother's Fall wedding. You need to be comfortable showing off your shape, but luckily the fabric is thick enough so as not to highlight any lumps or bumps. It's fairly long, but with 3" heels the gown just grazed the floor.
