This dress was perfect for my sophmore ring dance! The material was thick enough to be appropriate for the season (late winer, around March), and the cutouts in the back are placed very nicely. I did not wear a bra with this dress, because you could see the band through the cut outs, but the material is thick so I got away with it. PLUS IT HAS POCKETS!

I was so impressed with the over all style of the dress. The texture is thick and the red is gorgeous. The cutouts in the back and pockets were my favorite part. I had tons of compliments! I paired it with some nice black heels. The only downfall is that the dress is easy to snag, so be careful. #perfectholidaydress

This dress fits true to size. I did not have to wear and bra and though I am usually a "0", my Aunt Flo had me retaining water at the time. The "2" was perfect! I am a shorty and the hem was just right. The skirt is a bit "puffier" than I anticipated by not at all unmanageable. The zipper got stuck half way up and unneeded his help to get it zipped. I was very pleased with my dress selection and it's style.

I LOVED this rental. I was looking for something simple and festive with a little interest to it. I was completely impressed by the quality of fabric, which was perfectly weighted a holiday party in chilly Chicago. The cut of the dress was fairly traditional and classic, but the cutouts and interesting back made it a real showstopper. I received compliments all night and it was a Greg option to take me a bit out of my comfort zone. Pattern is a little less "checkered" than it looks but comes off a nice deep red. Back panel gaps a bit and unfortunately fashion tape didn't help much. But after wearing for a short while seemed to work itself out. Paired with sparkly statement earrings and bracelet to dress it up even further! Great option and highly recommended!

The dress fit really well - ordered an 8 and 10, wore the 8. Others stated the back was a little long, but I found it fit my torso perfectly. I didn't wear a bra (I'm a 34DD), but I felt that I was held in properly all night! The fabric felt nice and overall I was very happy with this RTR! The zipper was a completely different story - really difficult to zip, even though the size was correct (even on the hanger, it was tough to zip). I ended up putting a little clear soap on the zipper and it went up no problem. I wore it with suede booties to an outdoor early September wedding - fit well with the setting.

The dress fit really well! Usually my waist is a bit small for dresses, but this was perfect. The dress made my waist look small and was super comfortable to wear! The pockets were great too. The black strap on the back (where the dress cuts open) sometimes folded down--it was too long for my torso--but it wasn't an issue. Great dress overall. I was sad to return it!

Loved the cutouts! Loved the flirtiness of the full skirt! Great quality and structure. No complaints honestly!

The fabric was a lot thicker than I was originally expecting, but it fit well as I was wearing tights and booties. The shape is very flattering and I received many compliments on how unique it was! All in all another great RTR experience!

Fits true to size. Zippers are extremely hard to pull up. The back part was a little loose on me so I had to pull down my dress frequently. Got a ton of compliments on this look. Great for any work party.

I have a short torso so the cut out back didn't sit just perfect but I used a little fashion tape to tape down the back and after that it was perfect. Very fitted in the waist! But a very fun and comfortable dress. A bra was not needed either!

This is by far my favorite Rent the Runway dress yet! I wore this to a 50's era cocktail party and it was beyond perfect. Compliments were flying left and right. The waffle fabric on this dress has a great texture and while it it a bit more orange colored in reality, it photographs as red. I would recommend sizing up on this one, as it's a tad bit tight around the waist. I was sad I had to return this beauty!

Dress was a great fit. I usually go between a 4-6 and the 6 was perfect. It did gap a little strange at the back but that wasn't a huge deal for me. You cannot wear a bra with this dress and it was a little too big in the boob area for me to not so wasn't perfectly comfortable in that aspect. Dress had some snags but weren't noticeable to anyone but me. Thick fabric made it perfect for a winter event.

Rented for a Christmas Party. Loved the cut outs on the back, they were not over the top or trashy. They made the dress. The back is very cool. My pictures are horrible, sorry. Red and black print is rich as is the thick fabric. I was comfortable and felt pretty all night. THE DRESS HAS POCKETS!! I could keep my phone close all night. I see now, you can buy this dress. Wish you could before my party. You won't regret this dress.

I have fairly big arms from weight training, so i'm not sure if it was just me, but I found the arm holes extremely tight. This dress does run smaller, as I'm 123lbs and found the 2 to almost be too small. Other than that, the pattern ROCKS, the fabric is super cool (geometric pattern is three dimensional!) and POCKETS. I absolutely loved it! The cut out in the back was the perfect amount of sexy for the conservative nature of the dress.

This dress was awesome! However a few notes, hard to zip up so make sure you have someone do it for you. Loved the cut out in the back but can't wear a bra bc it peaks out. I'm a 36c and I was fine not wearing a bra. The material is thick on the dress. I have a short torso so the zipper didn't lay flat. Other than that, the length is great, the material was thick enough for a winter wedding with a black cardigan and the skirt is wonderfully twirly.

The size 10 fit me perfectly. I wore this for my engagement photoshoot. The zipper was terribly stuck on the 10. My sister and fiance' had to struggle to attempt to get it on and then to try and get it off...it was a nightmare. There was something wrong with the piece. So I went with the 12. It was a bit big and felt like I had room to spare but it worked nicely for my photoshoot. The back was beautiful but if you have any bulges they will pop out slightly. I wore a bra that adds two sizes because the chest part was big for me for the 12. Overall, I thought it was cute. It was a thicker material. I wouldn't say it was itchy but definitely thick.

The fit was a tiny bit snug on the waist but the back was a bit large and the strap in the middle would have needed some tape to stay on my back but it didn't bother me much. This was definitely a classy yet fashionable outfit!

The material was heavy enough that I wore this for Valentine's Day. The zipper was really, REALLY hard to get up though. On both the 4 and the 6! It might just be the way it's made. Anyway, after two friends and my husband managed to get the zipper up it was fine. I'm short with a short torso, so the back did gap some. Someone with a longer torso wouldn't have this issue.

The dress was a bit tight on me so the open strap back bunched up awkwardly, I would have been better one size up. I also couldn't wear a bra, but it wasn't noticeable - and the top of the dress didn't flatten me at all. I really liked the material and the black belt that accentuated my waist. It also has pockets which was convenient for stashing my mobile phone and lipstick. I wore a black leather jacket over it.

Dress runs true to size however; I as well had to use fashion tape to hold the back down. Wore this dress to my company's Christmas party and I received so many compliments. The material is thick and the dress really does flare which is why I loved it so much. I was a little snug in the dress and probably could have worn my back up size 4 but the back would have been scrunched up even more. I would still recommend this dress.

I got a 4 and a 6. The 4 fit fine but was a little tight and restricting in the chest/armpit area. Because this was an event where I'd be dancing and moving around a lot, I decided to wear the 6 so I had a little bit more room. The dress was great, although the back (near the cutouts) didn't lay flat on my back. Be careful with the jewelry you wear, anything with prongs might have a tendency to get caught on the material of the dress. Speaking of the material, it was great quality! I was surprised to see how much of a flare the skirt actually had when I put it on, but it was perfect for my event.

I wore this to an Education Foundation silent/live auction for the high school I work at. It was classy and I enjoyed how I felt in it. With that being said, as others have all mentioned, the back strip was VERY long. I bought fashion tape after reading the reviews but it was too much fabric and I ended up having to use pins to reduce the length (which were sticking into my back by the end of the night). If you have a very long torso this might not be an issue. After reading the reviews, I thought I would fit into a four; I barely squeezed into a six. The waist was very tight on my hourglass frame. It is good to note though that I am a 34D and the chest was not constricting. I could even wear a normal bra, I just hiked it up a bit in the back. Although, as most chesty girls can attest, high-necked fashions are not the most flattering. I rented this with my free birthday credit. I enjoyed the flirty skirt and the quilted fabric, but I would not rent it again.

True to size although zipper very difficult- my husband had to help me and it was a little tough. But worth it. I wore this to work with a blazer and then took blazer off for an evening event. Recommend for a petite girl like me!

Extremely cute dress. Very 50's/Donna Reid look. Had a ton of complements and really stood out from all the black dresses. The only reason I would have sized up is because it was very fitted across the black part of the dress and the zipper seemed to stick in that area, which made it hard to zip.

This dress was for an NYE party at a country club. My dress was definitely unique, which is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want sequins or all black like most do on NYE. I love this dress because it looks classy in the front, but a sexy surprise in the back (still classy I think.) This dress is perfect for those with a small wait but larger hips - compliments the waist while hiding bigger hips!

I got compliments all night long, from strangers. The back is sexy, the front is flattering. I loved it so much. I thought it ran a little bit big. I am pear shaped but I have a small rib cage and waist, so it was perfect for my figure. The 4 was a tad big on me, but I wore it anyway; it was the only size available.

this dress is thick and best for fall or winter. i did find that there were a few pulls on the fabric, but nothing that took away from the dress. i loved the pockets and the way the dress fell. i'm a 2 or 4 in most dresses, but do have a larger waist and am carrying some holiday weight so i actually decided to wear the 6. the 4 fit, but i felt like the sides were not flattering when seated. the dress is rather structured so even though the top was a bit larger, it still looked flattering. overall, great fan of this dress!

I unfortunatly didn't wear this to an event because the dinner party was cancelled. BUT I did try it on and loved it! Super cure skirt flare and sexy back cut outs. Nice fabric as well, thicker and form fitting. I would rent it again to have the opportunity to wear it!

The dress I was supposed to rent for NYE was damaged, so RTR suggested I go to the store and pick a new one. I wouldn't have picked this dress online, but I tried it on in store and ended up loving it. It's a fun shape and the cut outs make it feel updated and flirty. The fabric is heavy with a nice stretch and I felt fine wearing it without a bra.

I am a 34DD so it was a bit snug for me even without a bra. I would size up if you are like me, otherwise great look and feel.

This dress was a perfect fit for a fall wedding. The skirt had a bit more volume than I was expecting, but it was very flattering on. The armholes were on the tight side, which could have made dancing uncomfortable, but I managed. All in all, great dress.

As other reviewers mentioned this dress has no give in the material, so make sure to order the free extra size. I ordered a size 0 and was unable to zip it up all the way. Rent the Runway was able to send me a size up and it arrived in 1 day! The size 2 was better but it still felt pretty tight in my rib cage area. The dress itself is gorgeous! It had a few pieces of thread coming out from previous wears but nothing too distracting. The materiel is thick which made this dress perfect for an outdoor wedding as I was not too cold. The cut out in the back was my favorite part, and i received lots of compliments. I needed help getting into the dress because the zipper gets stuck around the waistband. All in all i was very happy with this dress and especially the service. Thank you RTR!

In the size 0, I found this to run small. Not sure if that's universal with all the sizes. The waist is VERY small and the zipper sticks right at the waist, making it tough to get into. Shoulders are also quite small. I may try it again in a size up, as it was very cute. Very heavy material - would be cute in fall/winter with tights.

Cool looking dress in a flattering style. It draws a lot of attention to your waistline so if you have an hourglass or pear figure this is the dress for you. The fabric is quite heavyweight which make it good for fall/winter events but not so much for spring and summer.

The zipper was a little difficult to manage, but the dress was so comfortable to wear! My order did arrive 1 day late however, which is probably ok since it was during the busiest shipping date of the year.
