Stylist Review

I love this classic dress by Slate & Willow! Running true to size, with some stretch, I recommend wearing your true size and going up for your back up. This style is roomy throughout the midsection and fitted at the hips. It works best for all cup sizes. You are able to wear a standard bra with this dress. At 5'3, the length hit at the knees on me. I love the simple slit in the front of the dress, it's chic and simple. Pair with pumps and statement accessory satchel to complete your outfit!

Great for work!

I ordered a 4 and loved the fit. Very flattering on my stomach area, shows off my legs. Professional and flattering.

Flattering

I ordered a size up and it was a little big, runs true to size as I typically wear a 10. Lots of compliments, classy, the spirit a little high, but sexy.

Not for the short and/or chubby

Unfortunately I'm short and chubby. This fit bad and made me feel bad. The slit was weird. If you're tall and skinny get this. The material and dress are beautiful, just not on me.

Comfortable and professional but runs a little small . Great underneath a blazer or jacket .

A little tight in the top for very busty girls but otherwise great and versatile.

Wedding

I really loved this dress. It was a little tight on my boobs, but the 6 was too big. I especially loved the leg slit. I am 5'4, 134lbs and a 36C.

Flattering Office Dress

Rented this for a work conference. It worked great with a gray cardigan. I usually wear a 4 but sized down to 2 and it fit comfortable.

Odd fit

I didn't care for the under-layer, nor the way the dress billowed above the waist.

The dress was really cute, but the slit in the front showed way too much for the workplace.

Was worn for a tea social

The slit up the front is nice but otherwise just a simple black dress.

Ok but nothing special

This ran large for me. Was way too large in chest area and I'm 34D. I probably should've sized down. It wasn't all that flattering on my figure.

Small on bottom; per hair magnet

I really liked the overall style of this dress - professional/classy but still fun because of the opening at the front. I was unable to wear it though because the bottom half was too tight; especially the liner - I could barely get it over my butt. Im a standard 16, 5'4" 220 lbs hourglass but I do have thick thighs/butt. The top half fit. Also - pet owners beware; hair will cling to this dress with minimal contact

Great shape; wrinkles VERY easily.

I love the shape of this dress and it was prefect for the office. However, it wrinkles VERY easily. After sitting in a meeting for 45 minutes, the skirt was super wrinkled and looked like a hot mess. I won't be renting again.

Total failure.

I’m a solid size 14 so I rented a size 14 in this dress. I can’t explain it but this dress fit but looked absolutely horrendous on me. The fit was so awful I sent both back before my work holiday party. It was incredibly tight across my rear end and not at all flattering. Ironically it fit my chest and shoulders, which is where I typically have issues.

Slit doesn't lay right

This dress was not flattering at the bottom. I had to send it back upon trying it on. I could not get the slit to lay right.

Too much fabric in the front

This dress (size 6) was a comfy fit but had way too much fabric as the second layer in the front draped above the waist. The pictures didn't show a side view or else the fabric would've shown to be hanging. Bottom had a nice fold over slit but the lining kept riding up. Also fell below the knees for 5'1. If was an ok work dress since I was sitting down all day.

This fit funny - it was blousy on the top in front but tight around the back.

It just didn't fit right for my body type.

So far not that great...

Not to be worn if you have a large read end, or if you plan on sitting. If you have a large read end and you sit, the slit will climb all the way to indecent areas..
