I wore this to a dear friend's rehearsal dinner. It seemed sort of dressy but the statement necklace (also RTR) made it more fun/funky. The color is so gorgeous and the way the dress hugs me uptight & at my waist and then loosens up really worked perfectly with my curves. Very comfortable. Probably Wouldn't rent again bc it doesn't have a total wow factor but I'm so glad I used it. If purple traditionally works well for you, this is bound to shine!!

The size down get on but couldnt lift my arms very high, so I sized up to have flexibility for dancing! Had many compliments. Great dress.

I wore this dress for a formal photo shoot with my husband, it was perfect and I’d love to rent to again for a future formal event. Other reviewers talked about the dress being too thin, but I though the texture of the fabric was perfect. I have a large rear end and needed to size up to accommodate my figure.

I'm 53 yrs old, 5'3", 138 lbs and normally wear a size 10. This dress ran a little small and the straps were really long (had to pin them), but it looked beautiful on. Being petite, I was worried about the length, but I actually liked it better on me than on the (much) taller model.

I loved how this dress fit, especially snug around the waist - Only complaint was the limited mobility when raising your arms all the way up when dancing!

The straps were huuuuuge and so they kept slipping off my shoulders - overall the dress was a bit big, and I wear a 6/8. But I loved the look!

Rented this for an evening fall wedding. I'm 4' 11" and 170lbs. The dress was easy to wear with a regular bra and no adjustments to the hem. The black straps didn't stay in place which was slightly annoying. But otherwise, great dress and rental experience.

I'm 3.5 months postpartum and I really wanted a nice dress that I would feel comfortable in. I've lost all of my baby weight but still have the dreaded "pouch" (as my husband so eloquently calls it ) and was worried it would draw attention to that area. BUT it was a perfect fit and I received so many compliments from complete strangers all night! I felt amazing! My only criticism is that at first, the shoulder straps seemed a bit too loose. But I honestly wasn't bothered by them at all throughout the evening. Didn't even notice them.

I got a ton of compliments on this dress. Usually wear a size 8 but got a 12 as a backup size because 10 was unavailable. Thought the 12 would be huge but that is the size I ended up wearing. It’s a bit tight in the chest for us busty women. Be prepared to wear some spanks of you have any bumps you want to hide as this dress shows every flaw.

This was my first time renting from RTR and this was my free second style! The dress came with a torn seam, but RTR sent me a new one by the next day! This dress hugged in all the right places and was fun for a wedding! I loved the color and the way it fit. With me being short I was nervous about the angled bottom, but I think it looked great! The straps were a little restricting but they didn't stop me from dancing. It was a great night in a great dress!

I nearly cried when I finally looked at myself in the mirror with the dress and my accessories on. I felt so, so, sooooo elegant. I had a handful of people come up to me telling me that my dress was incredible and I even had a darling woman come up to me to ask me if I was a famous model. It was definitely the dress!! I didn't have the right regular bra to wear with this (the straps would peek out ever so slighty), so I went with a standard strapless bra. The dress was tight enough that I didn't have to continually pull up the bra but not too tight where I felt that my girls were smushed. You could definitely tell there were girls and there was a little bit of cleavage, all in a classy manner. I wore black heels and simple jewelry to have the dress do the talking. I tried wearing a statement necklace and it just felt like too much. The shorter side of the hem hit me right about the knee and the longer side was about mid-calf. I can usually tell when a dress is made for taller/shorter women (as I'm in between tall and short), and this was one that had all heights in mind. Cons: The side shoulder straps were a bit tight. I couldn't reach out, say to get the S&P on the table, or raise my arms without moving them up first by hand. Also, there's a seam which appears to belong right at the bottom of the bust that crossed me straight through the middle. I know that I'm larger busted, and it didn't look bad, but it could've been better with it actually under my bust. Overall, this was a great dress and I was sad to deliver this dress to UPS.

Was a little nervous about renting, as I usually rely pretty heavily on other customer reviews before renting and this dress didn't have a lot of feedback from girls with my body type. Although I had read it ran slightly small, I got a two and a four and ended up wearing the two (the middle section bunched a bit less with the smaller size) which I would categorize as true to size. Overall, not a huge difference between the two and four. The color was beautiful and rich and the dress was pretty comfortable to wear. I opted to wear a strapless bra but could have also easily gone braless. I did have to pull it down every now and then (it rode up eventually) and I was unable to lift my arms all the way over my head due to the straps, but these are minor complaints. I got lots of compliments on the dress and you absolutely can't beat the price. Would recommend!

Pretty dress with just the right amount of sexy but still conservative enough for a formal affair, only thing is steals keep falling down so had to pin them to my bra and problem solved

Easy to wear a bra & flattering

Loved this dress, it was very comfortable and flattering for a cocktail party at work. I'm 5' 120lbs and usually wear a 2/4 in dresses. The top straps were REALLY long, but was easy to pin them down in the back.

I liked this dress even more in person than on the website. It was so elegant and classy. The only issue I had was with the straps. Im 5'2" and it was clearly made for someone a little taller but I'm used to that! There was also a slight tear in a seam which was a tad bit disappointing but c'est la vie.

The dress was a great thick fabric that was fairly forgiving, although I would definitely recommend shapewear. I wore this 7 weeks post partum and felt fairly comfortable in it. The color was beautiful. The fit was a bit awkward if you have large hips/butt, it rides up and ends up short and bunched around the stomach. The black straps were loose when sitting but fine when standing. Great dress if you're not wider at the hips.

rented this for a wedding. The 6 fit perfectly on my athletic frame. I got so many compliments! Paired it with simple black wedges. The straps made it look fun without losing elegance. Only thing is that it's hard to raise your arms all the way up or around so mobility is a little limited but other than that it was a fantastic dress!

This was actually my backup dress, but after the other one didn't fit, I'm glad I wore this one! I wore it for an outdoor October wedding and it was the perfect length/coverage for the occasion. I thought the fit was perfect and hit curves in all the right places. The only downside for me was that the material looks thick, but it does show your belly area and can be a deal breaker for those a little more self conscious about it. I also didn't love that the purple off the shoulder sleeve are pretty restricting and could limit your dancing (I didn't let that stop me!). And lastly, like everyone else has been saying, the black straps do fall down a lot. I wore double sided tape to hold them up which worked out perfectly so I wasn't tugging on them all night. Despite those minor flaws, it was a beautiful dress and I got so many compliments. Would definitely recommend and may rent again!

This was a nice dress for a fall wedding. I loved the color (a great eggplant purple) and asymmetrical hem line! It was a little strange dancing with one long side since I'm pretty petite (5'2"). I did find that one of the top black straps (my right shoulder) was looser than the other side but it didn't prove to be too much of a problem while dancing. Overall it was a fun unique dress for a semi formal event!

I wore this dress to a work Gala. It was really nice. The fabric was heavy so no problems with underwear showing, but it would have been hot for an outdoor summer party. The dress's black straps slid down often (even inadvertently in my photo) so I'm glad I wore a strapless bra. The strap issues didn't really matter though. The dress was flattering and did the job. I wasn't in love with it, but it was a solid RTR rental.

Overall, this dress was great. Good quality material and very comfortable. I received SO many compliments. I got the 6 and the 8, and ended up wearing the 6. The 6 was a little snug on the bottom, but fit perfectly on the top. The 8 fit perfectly on the bottom, but I was swimming in the top. I opted for Spanx in the 6. I didn't need a bra with this one, and it ended up being better to go without because of the way the straps fell. I did have some trouble with the straps, too - they kept falling down, but it ended up feeling like part of the overall "look" of the dress so I didn't mind. I was also surprised to realize that the thick straps were actually black, and not purple too - just an FYI if you're also unobservant!
