The dress fit true to size. It was tight enough up top so it did not fall at all like many strapless dresses do. The fabric was heavy in a good way for a winter time event.

I wore this dress to a gala, and received tons of compliments. It looks black online, but its really navy. It has pockets, so that's great. Now to the real deets. I read several RTR reviews that mentioned the dress ran short, so I made sure to order a long. I stand about 6'0 in heels (5'7" + 4" heels) and the long just barely hit the floor. I consistently wear an 8, but I could barely get into a 10. Definitely order a size up from what you usually wear, and another size up as a back up.

I wore this for a wedding originally in a 4. When it went up for sale I bought it in the only size available (6 and had it taken in)and wore it to this photoshoot. Love love this dress.

Lovely dress, heavy, expensive-feeling material. Beautiful train but does drag on the floor, I am 5'5" and wore 3" heels and it was a bit long for me.

The top was a little tight on my rib cage but I felt great in this dress, not too much flash but the perfect amount of elegance to be a fun, classy wedding date

I definitely could have gone a 10L. It was a bit roomy but the fabric and the pockets were perfect for a black tie affair.

This was a last minutee dress for prom. RTR was great as always when something goes wrong with the original dress you ordered. Basically we got this the samw day from their store and they also overnighted another dress!! Dress is a deep navy with texture design. Fitted in top and loose after the waist. It has pockets which is always a bonus. Easy to dance in and comfortable to sit in. High enough at the bottom to see the shoes but low enough in the back to step on the dress. Overall very happy with the dress and the situation.

Rented this dress for my husbands MBA program gala, the weight was heavy but perfect for the winter. I was comfortable all night and felt beautiful!

Love, love, love this dress! I wanted something simple to wear that I could jazz it up with earrings and wear red lipstick. Iam 5"7, and have an athletic body type, so I went a size up and ordered this dress long. I would definitely recommend this dress, especially if you want something simple but elegant. :)

I would defintely rent this dress again. The material was heavy, which I loved. The back of the dress drags just a tad which makes you feel super elegant as you're walking about! It fit perfectly, not once did I have to pull it up. The detailing on the dress helps make a simple dress special. I also paired it with jewelry and shoes that are a bit more stand out and the combination was perfect :)

This dress was incredible! The material was so nice and comfortable. Perfect for a wedding! I would recommend sizing up, the bodice was very tight and had no stretch. A strapless bra/no bra can be worn. Extremely fun and will definitely wear this to the next wedding I attend!

It has pockets! Great dress for a fall or winter event because it is a thick fabric that lays very well. I had to go up a size but the dress stayed put and was a perfect length with my 3in heels on my 5'9" height.

Elegant dress perfect for formal events and weddings. This was definitely a fun gown that I will be renting again for another event. Although there is comfortable room for the hips, the bodice of the dress was very fitted and I recommend going a size up. The dress was man made of thick material and is great for the cold weather and I suggest pairing with a cute pair of heels and statement clutch.

This dress was perfect for my husband's work holiday party. It was simply elegant and I loved the high-low hem line. I was in my first trimester of pregnancy when I wore this dress and it hid the baby bump wonderfully. Would highly recommend this dress!

I am a 32DD, so I had to go up to a size 4 just to fit it over my boobs. It was a little difficult to get zipped up because the fabric is on the thick side and the zipper is very delicate, but once it was on it fit like a glove. I loved the way I looked in it and especially appreciated the subtle pockets.

I rent this dress for a formal event and it was the perfect easy to wear no fuss dress. The pockets were a great surprise and I received compliments all night. As far as sizing it runs very small so I would make sure to size up when ordering.

I typically wear a size 4-6, but had to get an emergency size 8 sent to me because the dress was so tight. The zipper is tough to pull up, so the more room you have to play with around your chest, the better. The fabric is heavy but gorgeous, I was comfortable the whole evening apart from it being snug.

This was my first time trying RTR and I'm just not sure it's the best option for me. The high-low style was a blessing and a curse as 2 other 1-length dresses were way too long on me and this one could pass as "t-length with a train" for a 5'2" girl like me. It was my best option but my husband kept stepping on it and I was CONSTANTLY picking up the dress from the top. RTR's customer service was wonderful but the last minute scramble for a better fitting dress was a huge stress.

Fabric is thick and heavy, dark navy color- so pretty for a winter wedding. Longer in the front than I expected (in a good way- the high low isn't as stark as in the photos.) The dress runs a little tight at the waist but I was still able to wear my regular size.

The dress fits true to size for designer gowns, but runs a bit small relative to your normal everyday clothes. The material is thick and heavy but not uncomfortable. I wore it in Miami in early December and I was fine.

This was a back-up dress that I ended up not wearing because my first choice worked out so well, but was a beautiful dress nevertheless and it my petite frame (5'2, 32A, size 0) very well. Would definitely rent for another event!

My waistline fit size 2 but my bust 34D, did not! The size 4 just barely zipped up. If you're a buddy gal, definitely get one size larger just in case. It stayed comfortably in place perfectly all night after i finally zipped it up.

I thought the dress was black but it was actually Navy Blue. I'm 5'9" and worn about 2in heels and the tail barely hit the ground. The dress was very thick material, but not to heavy. Just loved the pockets! Got lots of compliments. I like this dress so much I am considering buying it.

This is a beautiful dress. Its actually a midnight blue and the fabric is very heavy. I didn't mind that because of the evening event. It tends to run small and I wasn't able to wear it for my Masquerade event. The zipper also was stuck and I couldn't get it fully zipped. I would have gone for the next size up but it wasn't available. Beautiful Dress!

Fits very comfortably, it has pockets! Great look for a more conservative work gala and very appropriate. I'm 5ft 3 and it was nice not to worry about tripping on it etc. It was the perfect length for me. It's maybe not overly flattering for larger chests. I felt like it made me look quite heavier overall but it's a nice fabric etc. Unfortunately the dress showed up ripped but I used a safety pin to disguise it.

I ordered a size 12r and the fit was true to size. The dress was comfortable and the pockets are a plus. I thought the dress was black but it's more of a navy blue. I didn't wear this dress because I felt it flared out a bit high and made me look pregnant. It also barely touched the ground with 4" heels and the heel caught the fabric a few times.

Ordered and 8 which was too snug, and my back up size 10 was too big. Gorgeous gown, wish it would have worked out. Would order again.

The fit was true to size. I am usually a 8/10 but I am super top heavy so I am forced to always order 1-2 sizes up to accommodate it. I initially wanted to wear the original dress I picked 12R (which I tried on in the store and knew was a good fit) however, the dress I receive in shipment, the dress clasp was broken AND there was a HUGE rip in the fabric along the zipper. Therefore, I was forced to wear the 12L (backup which the sales rep had to push me to add). The 12L of course was longer than the 12R and whilst walking I had to hold up the dress. That realistically was pretty disappointing but I made the 12L work. Overall, I was satisfied with the dress. I just hope that RTR pushes in the future to truly inspect the dresses before sending them out to customers.

I got a size 2R & 4R. While the dress size 2R fit perfect, both were extremely difficult to zip up! Other than that, it was lovely.

I ordered this for a deb ball, loved the way it looked on, unfortunately did not actually get to wear it since the rules and bylaws are weird but would have gotten down and boogied with the dress on!!!

Unfortunately this was my back up dress, so I didn't end up wearing it. Beautiful fabric. Size 10 fit but was very tight and I don't know how I would have made it through the whole night. 12 was a lot looser and more comfortable, but I also have no waist. Both sizes were Long inseam. Strangely the 10L felt a lot longer than the 12L which I wasn't expecting. I was very excited to show off the "gun show" and back with this strapless number, but I opted for my other option because this dress it aaaaaaalot of fabric. Pockets would have been nice but again lots of fabric to deal with.

Dress runs very small. Size up at least one size and get a back up size up from that. Beautiful, Heavy fabric.

I am usually a size 10 in the real world. In couture I guess I'm actually a size 14. I wasn't able to wear the dress. I was super bummed because this dress was extremely gorgeous! I would definitely rent this again but I'd get a size bigger. Maybe 2 sizes bigger. I'm 5'2" and about 180 lbs. for reference. I don't have a picture because it was embarrassingly tight and I didn't even get the zipper done up. Gorgeous dress though! Soooo beautiful.

I'm a 34C, 29-30 jean size, 140lbs, 5'4 and the 6R fit me. It was extremely tight up top, but the middle starts to poof out strangely. Looked a bit weird, but I'd still wear.
