This dress was SO unique and flattering! Love the lace and the color blocking!

Rented this little lady for a fundraiser event. It was a knock out! stood out against a sea of black cocktail dresses. It runs small- i am usually a 10 in everything but had to wear my backup size 12. the 12 fit perfectly. The black at the bottom is see through so it does add a bit of sexy. Great for a wedding, great for anything you'd need a cocktail dress for!

This dress is beautiful. I rented it for a formal work event and it was stylish but demure. The black unlined lace is fairly high cut on the thigh for taller women, but otherwise a great look.

Loved this dress and got many compliments. Wore my normal size 4. Dress was flattering & lace hid my mom tummy. My favorite part was that you could see your legs even though the dress was longer. I wore this for a cocktail attire gala.

Loved this dress. Yet again RTR for the win!!! Marxh weddings can be tricky to dress for but this covered up my pasty white legs snd had such great lace detail. You cant beat this rental for the price. Got lots of compliments and it fut teue to size.

I’m a little heavier than I’m used to being at the moment, so I was discouraged when the 12 was a tight fit, but it’s nothing that some spanks can’t handle. I still absolutely loved this dress. Quality fabric. Beautiful color. The lace overlay was well done. I liked that it was connected all the way down so that the lace didn’t ride up. I’m tall, so the see-through black lace portion was a little daring on my long legs, but not inappropriate. If I had black spanks I may have worn them, but got away without them. Would definitely rent the dress again.

Just enough coverage to keep the class but enough skin to feel sexy. In other words, the perfect balance. I could eat and dance in this dress all night.

The dress fit like a glove and I received several compliments all night. Felt a bit restricted in the arms and the band around the waist does not have much give, but neither stopped me from feeling comfortable the entire night. Others have noted that the nude slip can hike up quite a bit at the side but I never had that problem, so probably not too much of an issue if you are on the shorter side. Overall, I definitely recommend!

I'm 5'3" so the cut wasn't as high on my thigh as the model; which was good because my event was at a church and it felt more conservative.

This dress was fabulous and exactly as others have reviewed. I felt so age appropriate in this (early 30s but not wanting to show it all). I was unable like others to wear Spanx with this so I would recommend going in the larger of 2 sizes you're debating. But so comfortable!

This dress is a Star!!! This is my first RTR and I am completely sold!! The zipper is quite hard to maneuver past the ribbon at the waist, hubs had trouble but it eventually zipped. This was my back up dress and I'm so glad I added it last minute!!

The dress fit like a love, and I was super comfortable in it all all night. I got so many compliments, and I felt really good about myself the minute I put this dress on. It is super flattering, and although other users have said it runs a little small, I found my normal dress size fit me very well. If you are thinking about renting this dress, just do it! You won’t regret it.

This dress was PERFECT for a gala I went to with some coworkers! It didn't give, but I found that the 0 fit me better than the 2 (which just wasn't as flattering). I usually wear a 0, so I considered this true to size. I was also able to wear a regular comfortable bra with it, so I call that a win. I got so many compliments on the dress and I would rent again if I needed to! Highly recommend!

Wore this for a somewhat conservative weddingthat required sleeves and length to be long. Wanted to be a little rebel so chose this dress and it did not disappoint! Style is unique and so happy with the length not being too long for me (I'm 5'1)

This was my backup dress and it was the one I ended up wearing. I'm 5'5 and a 3-inch black strappy heel with it. It was a little long but it was totally appropriate for the baptism at a church. I got so many compliments on it. I wore a lightly lined bra with it to make my chest not so in your face. Overall, it was a great pick and I felt really pretty in it!

Loved this dress. It fit great and was super flattering. I am petite and it hit my leg in the perfect spot. I wore with 3-4 inch heels. You don't need a bra for coverage but it was a little loose so a strapless bra worked perfectly. Also, the slip underneath is not super sheer which is great because you can't see your undies.

I wore this at my daughters communion and it was very appropriate for the church and party after. Pretty comfortable as well and I received many compliments. Would be a good dress for a cocktail party as well. My only comment was that because of the material the zipper was hard to get up, you'll need someone to do it for you.

Very comfortable and flattering. I received many compliments - most of which were from strangers that approached me just to tell me the dress was so unique and beautiful! I normally wear a 4, but sized up based on a reviewer with a similar body type as me. The 4 probably would've been okay, but I was happy to have a little extra room around the rib cage where the ribbon sits.

Wore this for a rehearsal dinner. I found the dress to run TTS, but I'm straight through the hips/thighs. I can see if you were curvy, you'd want to size up. I loved the dress and found it very comfortable!

Pros: Beautiful and well-made. It definitely looks "high end" in person. The color is lovely and rich. Con: It's hard to zip up yourself! You need a buddy to get it on. :)

I originally ordered a size 8 back up size 6, I wear dresses in both sizes. A few weeks after I ordered the dress I found out I was pregnant. I decided I should probably swap out my back up size for a bigger size, just in case. I was easily able to log into my account and change my back upsize to a 10 with no hassle. When the dresses arrived, the 8 fit but was a tad snug. I opted to wear the 10 because it gave me just a little extra wiggle room. I was 10 weeks pregnant at the time and I hadn't told anyone at work yet. The dress worked perfectly and I received tons of compliments! Even the following week at work I was still receiving compliments on how lovely my dress was. I'm 5'4 so the dress hit a little lower on my legs than in the picture, about mid-calf. I would totally use Rent the Runway again! The whole process was so easy, I've already been bragging about it to the girls at work that buy the one-time dress and never wear it again.

Form fitting. Great lines! I’m 5’8 138 lb with athletic shoulders (swimmer)! Usually wear size 8 dress. This dress I wore a size 8 for a snug fit, but would recommend a size 10 for a dancing party!! More room to move!

This dress was perfect! I ordered an 8 and a 10 as the backup and went with the 10 instead because it allowed for more movement. It was comfortable, I could dance in it, and the black belt that goes around the waist really helped show my curves and make my waist look smaller. I received compliments all night on this dress.

I ordered the 6 and the 8 because depending on fit of dresses, I could be either size. It was a little tight in the arms because the fabric is not flexible but the 6 fit perfectly otherwise and the 8 looked a little too big.

Great dress for a formal occasion or wedding. My event was in March and was unseasonably warm, but this dress was both winter appropriate, but not too warm. It is a thicker material and sucks you in a little, so no need for spanx, wore a regular bra and was very comfortable all night. The lace can snag on things easily, but did not rip. So sturdy fabric. I would say it runs slightly small, so glad I sized up. There is just no give in the fabrics, but that's good also cause no need for spanx. Loved this dress for a winter formal event and would rent again.

The quality was very good. I was surprised how short the short-side felt, but nothing was exposed and it looked good (IMHO). I usually wear a 6 or 8. The 8 just felt better.

Lovely dress and easy to wear! The color and shape are so flattering. On me, the length was longer than the picture shows; came to lower calves/upper ankles instead. I didn't want to send this one back!
