I adored this dress. I was skeptical about being able to go braless with this dress, as I usually need more support. But the fabric was great quality and has enough structure that it was totally fine! The detailing on it is so pretty. I loved that it was a little spin on a typical black dress for the wintertime.

Absolutely loved this dress! The lace cap sleeves are adorable. Open back and thick material on top = I didn't have to wear a bra. The waistband is a little tight, but the rest of the dress is loose and flowy so I didn't feel restricted.

This dress is prettier in person! There are sparkly details you can’t see in the picture. The ribbon around the waist has zero give, and was a bit snug. Never made it to the Christmas party (CA traffic was extra terrible that night), but we went out to dinner instead!

Wore this for a fall wedding and it was perfect. The lace, construction and weight are quality. Do note that the band at the waist isn't forgiving, so size up if you think you could be in between sizes. The top closure at the back is an adjustable snap! I thought the back gapped too much until I figured this out and it made all the difference. For reference I'm 5"4, ~170 and wore the 12.

This fit me perfectly in the waist, it the bust was a bit large. I'm a 30C and it definitely would have looked better if the top had less room in the just area. The fabric is very pretty, though, and comfortable.

This dress is a little outside of my style, so I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfect for the wedding I attended and received so many compliments. The waist does not give, so I would go with a larger size.

This dress is perfect for a family wedding in the fall. I loved the flutter sleeves and the way the back was cut, and the details in the embroidery are exquisite--my grandmother and my aunt both told me I should buy it! The ribbon at the waist did start to feel a little tight after a while, but that would not be enough to deter me from wearing it again. Also, it's worth noting that if you don't care about fastening the hook and loop at the top of the zipper, you can totally put this one on by yourself.

Was originally not my first choice but exceeded expectations. Comfortable, classy, perfect for winter wedding.

This dress was so beautiful. I wore the larger size because the sleeves on the smaller size were way shorter than the larger size and puffed out in a weird way. I'm glad I made that decision because as the night went on, the band felt more and more restrictive--there's no give to it. The fit was great, the open back is a really pretty detail, and the length hitting near the knee was appropriate for a pretty fancy May wedding. I wore it with black flats and loved the look.

Normally wear a 10 went a size up so it wasn't too tight. Easy to move around in and was able to dance at the wedding fine. Not short at all which was great.

Loved this dress! Beautifully made with lovely details that set it apart and made it sparkle ! True to size and very comfortable. Lace was not itchy at all. Back cutout was cute and unique but I was unable to wear a regular bra. I received lots of compliments! First RTR and will not be the last time!

The photos don't do this dress justice. The lace and embroidery overlay is delicate with metallic threads and some sequins. It's enough to catch the light and look sophisticated without being too much. As far as fit, I have a very small waist for my size, and this dress fit me perfectly in the waist. If you aren't teeny in the middle, I'd suggest you size up. You'll need a stick on bra, as any back strap will show.

It was comfortable and the open back was the perfect detail. I am a pretty busty girl and I didn't even wear a bra which is not the norm for me but it worked!

I got this dress after my original rental wasn't available, and I'm so glad I did! It was so pretty and flattering. The embellishment was lovely, especially the sleeves, and I loved the open back. Like other reviewers mentioned, the ribbon waistband has no stretch, so size up for your backup or if you have a straighter shape. I loved dancing in this dress and would definitely recommend it for a fall or winter wedding!

This dress is gorgeous. The overlay is beautifully detailed and I got tons of compliments. The reviews are right that the waist band runs small, so definitely order up a size or two. Loved the open(ish) back too!

I usually consider myself a 6P, but after reading the reviews, thought I’d be more of a 4, which was right on. As someone who is 5’2”, I am always concerned about dress length, but that detail was also right on. The opening in the back of the dress will totally show a traditional bra, so I went without one and was fine with this even with dancing. The closure at the waist line might be uncomfortable if you will be seated for any length of time (in car, at event).

i agree with most of the other reviews that the black waistband is VERY tight no stretch whatsoever so id recommend going up a size from your normal. I usually wear a 2 and I got a 4 and it fit perfectly!

I really liked this dress. I wore to Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt's house. Got tons of compliments. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. I usually wear a size 4 but this was snug on my waist. I opted to wear the back up size 6. Would definitely recommend!

I got so many complements on this dress. It has just enough sparkle to be memorable and special without being over the top. I wore it for a pretty conservative company holiday party and it was perfect. I'm almost 5'7" and it hit right at my knees, and I LOVED that it has sleeves. They're loose and comfortable, so it's easy to move in (which isn't always the case for dresses with sleeves). Like others said, there isn't any give in the waist band, so I would size up if you aren't sure. I wore a backless, strapless bra, couldn't figure out any way to hide a normal strapless.

When I first saw this dress I was concerned because there were so few reviews. But I decided to take a chance. I normally wear an 8, but ordered a 10 as my back-up size. I'm glad I did! Like other reviews have mentioned, the ribbon "waistband" has NO give. The size 8 was nearly impossible to zip around my rib cage. Additionally, beware that you will be required to either go bra-less or wear a backless bra. However, that open back gives this dress a perfect amount of "sass" to an otherwise very "classy" dress. And that flair skirt is perfect for dancing the night away. I received SO many compliments on this dress! I would certainly rent it again!

The dress was adorable! I got so many compliments. It is tight around the waist, but not uncomfortable. There is wiggle room everywhere else (I am pear shaped and appreciate room in the skirt). The opening in the back is the perfect blend of sweet and sexy. Worn to a work event for a big name designer!

I was unsure about this dress when I first tried it on but it grew on me quickly and by the time the wedding was over I was thinking of other occasions where I could rent it again. The embroidery had the perfect amount of sparkle and the loose sleeves were very flattering. The waistband had very little give but I had to wear the size 4 because the 6 was too gappy for my small chest and a bit too long. I probably should have eaten less wedding cake because the band was pretty tight by the end of the night, but it did not stop me from having an A+ time. I would suggest getting a fun pair of earrings and wearing your hair up with this dress to show off the open back.

This dress was so flattering and I felt completely comfortable all day and night. I opted for the 12 over the 10 since the waistband doesn't have any give. I should have worn a backless bra since the opening in the back doesn't cover a regular bra, but instead had my husband pin the back closed to cover it. It was much better looking when left open. Live and learn. I would rent this again if I didn't love so many other dresses on here.

I ordered this dress in the 4 with 6 as the backup size. There was really no difference in the fit of the waist but the 6 had more room in the bust. Unfortunately the zipper on the 4 was really sticky and it also had a snag in one of the sleeves, so I ended up wearing the 6 to the wedding. The raw edges of the mesh kept getting stuck on things and some of the sequins were coming loose, but on the whole I was pleased with it.

Took Christmas photos in this dress. Was perfect for photos however the particular dress I had had frayed lace and falling off/out of place sequins. A little over worn but you couldn't tell in photos!

As other users have mentioned, the band has no give, however I found for smaller on top/wider hip ladies like myself, I actually had to size down! Open back means braless or backless bra, but I wore to a work party and still felt very comfortable. Cute and simple piece.

But when I put it on it was really cute, Foley, the fit was perfect. I loved the little cut out back..showed just enough skin but covered up in all the right places. I ended up getting lots of compliments. The size 4 was a little tight around the upper waist area but the 6 was a little too big. But I went with the size 4 anyway. All in all a great dress for a beautiful occasion!

Fun, sweet dress. Loved the sleeves and the sequin embellishments. Loved the open back, but wore a cami underneath it since I wore this to work. However, for a party, I would have comfortably worn this without the cami. Very cute!

This dress has a great details. The keyhole back makes it a bit sexier for a dress that isn't form fitting. Keep you accessories simple.

I think the overall dress was true to size, but the closure around the waist was a tad snug. This dress is cute and comfortable, and I received many compliments. The only thing that may turn you off is the open back, but it was not that noticeable. I felt that the top was not tight enough to go braless so I wore a sticky bra that was backless and it was fine. It did not show at all.

First, the dress runs small- especially in the waist. Zero give, so I absolutely recommend sizing up. Second, the dress came dirty. There was visible food on the front of the dress, which made me think the item had not been dry-cleaned prior to shipment- gross. The lace had at least 3 significant snags on the skirt, which was disappointing. Beautiful style, modest. I received several compliments. It was just a bummer that I had to clean and work on the snags to make it wearable.

Dress fit fine and was really lovely, but the proportions just didn't look flattering on me. Made my hips and shoulders look wider and bust flatter. The open back was loose on me too. Might fit better if you have a longer torso

Wore to a holiday party. Fabric felt incredibly cheap, especially the glittery bits. The shoulders were especially strange with the sheer, webbed black fabric that looked like cobwebs. I was stuck wearing it but not thrilled. The open back was interesting, but made it impossible to wear any kind of bra.
