I wore this to a holiday concert at the Kennedy Center. The color was fabulous and the material was just thick enough and stretched well for sitting but didn't wrinkle. The ruffle at the bottom gave it a special touch. Felt beautiful and comfortable all night!!

What a beautiful dress! It literally fit me like it was tailored for me. Great jewel tone color, too, if you're looking for something other than black. I received many compliments and I actually felt sexy in this dress. Great choice to balance and showcase curves...flatters the waist, too. Take note, this dress doesn't have much stretch. That's my only con, but not much of one--the lack of stretch provided structure. I wore spanx because of my unruly tummy, I probably could have skipped it, but it did look sleeker with the spanx.

Such a pretty rich purple/pink color. Fit like a glove and the little ruffles at the bottom were so fun for dancing! I got so many compliments on this dress.

The dress is darker than it looks in some of the pictures; it's more of a cranberry/purple. I got many compliments. The dress was tight but comfortable. I usually wear a 10 but needed a 12. My daughter wore a bright pink dress also from RTR. We love renting when we have so many weddings to attend! We can get a very nice dress for just $30-35 and it's fun to not be "stuck" with purchasing dresses from a store.

Runs small through the hips. I usually wear an 8. Based on prior reviews I got the 8 and the 10, and the 10 was perfect. The 8 squeezed and bunched on my hips. Dress was super comfortable for dancing and walking. I received a ton of compliments. The color is vibrant. The ruffle is lots of fun and feels fancy without being over the top. I included the pic from outside because it shows the purple.

This was a great dress! I attended an outdoor wedding in Florida and it was HOT. Thankfully, the material was thicker and did not show any sweat at all. I decided to go without a bra because it fit so well! Highly recommend!

The reviews are correct regarding- tight around hips, and thicker material. While the 2D photos are not flattering, I actually loved this dress. I love the asymmetrical flared out bottom and the thicker material was perfect considering I was wearing it in the winter. I would recommend body shapewear because every slight imperfections shows up despite the thicker material. If I were more in shape, this would have been perfect. The shape I'm in, it was slightly too small. Would recommend trying it out if you have good shapewear or are not afraid of body shape to come through!

I loved this dress for my work gala event! It was a little snug when I first tried it on so I was worried it wouldn’t work, but it ended up fitting okay for the event. It was a little tight for my taste but overall great style.

This was one of the replacement dresses I got for my rental. It fit perfectly up top but was SO tight at the bottom to the point that even attempting to zip it up was out of the question. I'm 5'7" 183lbs but athletic and pear shaped. I did not wear the dress but would work for someone with smaller hips

Unique dress. Beautiful color. I got lots of compliments. The dress fit great, except for being just a little snug across the hips.

The ruffle details on the bottom make the dress a little more special. I don't have a butt or hips so there was definitely a little extra fabric around those areas but not uncomfortably so. The top was the perfect fit though so I definitely couldn't have gone any smaller. Didn't absolutely wow anyone in this dress but it was comfortable and I had fun dancing around in it! I am 5'6" 127 lbs and 34C.

I am 5'2 and 145lbs. I wore this dress to a wedding in Solvang. I wore the 10R which was my alternate size because it is a snug fit if you've got curves. But, I had tons of compliments on the color and style. I loved the playfulness of the hemline. Great dress.

I read the reviews and ordered a size up. I am usually a 10, I am 5'3 about 170 pounds. Hourglass. Danced all night, the dress is flirty and fun. The color is gorgeous. I'm glad I ordered size 12 and got a thin paid of Assets by Spanx, kept the dress smooth and prevented it riding up. Overall, very happy that this was one of my replacement options, it worked out perfect!

I’m a curvy 5’6” and found this dress to be super flattering. My usual size 8 fit well in the bust but was a bit clingy across the hips and tummy so I opted for the 10 for the sleeker silhouette. The fabric is more burgundy than fuchsia and has a bit of give. I’m so glad RTR sends a back up size!

Listen to the reviews - it runs small! Just size up, and the dress is definitely worth it. I usually wear 2 or 4 in formal dress and ended up wearing an 8. I have a bit of love around the hips, but if not, I probably could have gotten away with a 6 (which was my backup size). Given its' simplicity, the beautiful bright plum color helped give it some personality & the flare at the bottom was perfect on the dance floor!

I wore this at 3 months postpartum and it was my first time dressing up since pregnancy and I was super not confident. This dress & spanx gave me all the confidence. I got several compliments and had fun dancing in it as well. Definitely recommend!!

This dress was perfect for a fall family wedding. It is classy but still flirty with the ruffled skirt. The color popped in a room full of dark blue and black dresses. I paired it with a bib necklace and silver heals to make it more formal, but it could easily be dressed down for a less formal event. I usually wear a size 6 but based on other reviews, I chose to size up for my back up size. I could have worn the 6, but the 8 looked much better. I recommend sizing up for this dress. I also recommend some shape wear to smooth everything out.

After reading reviews, I order my normal size and up one. I ended up wearing the one up (14R). I am 5'8" and weigh 185, wear a 12 typically. The color was just beautiful and made me feel much tanner than I am. The structure held things in without feeling restrictive. I loved the fun cut of the hemline, super for dancing! I might rent again for another wedding in a few months; that's how much I love it. Oh and I got loads of compliments; both about the dress and about how great I'm looking.

Rented this dress for an October wedding. The color was perfect - a little more purple than pink. All of the reviews are dead on - this dress runs small. I'm normally a 10/12 in pants, a 12 in dresses, but had to wear the 14. The 12 fit but was VERY slim in the hips - and I don't even have wide hips in the slightest. Fabric is heavy so wouldn't recommend for a summer wedding. But it moved so great while dancing! Would absolutely recommend and would also rent it again!

This was my first rent the runway dress and I was very happy. I wore it for engagement photos and it turned out perfect. This was actually my back up dress so I only had 1 size, I sized up based on reviews. I had plenty of the room in the 10 with it still being form fitting, I did wear spanx. I think an 8 might have been too snug.

I'm a 34B cup and it fit there as well. Some room for those with a larger chest. I would guess large chest would be a risk in fitting this dress. This is a great dress to dance in. 5'9'' 158lbs wore the 8R didnt even try the 6 because I wanted to be comfortable. I love RTR!!
