I marked this as runs small-- but only slightly. I picked L over M because it is form-fitting and slightly short (above the knee) on my 5'9" frame so I needed the bigger size. Otherwise, it was absolutely comfortable all day and I felt so beautiful in it! I was at a fall wedding and the thicker material not only hugged me the right way, but also was just enough material to wear against the cold weather right now in NY. I would absolutely order this again; thanks RTR!

I chose this dress for a wedding, and it worked out great. I'm normally a size 6 or so, and I ended up wearing the small. The medium would've worked too, but I filled out the small a little better even though it was quite snug. That said, it was super comfortable! It's stretchy enough to cover up the imperfections since it is form-fitting, yet holds you in nicely. And the color is a gorgeous purple. Overall, I'd say my first RTR experience was a huge success.

Very comfortable! One of my favorite rentals so far. Fits true to size and has a little stretch. Quality material. Easy to wear all night while chasing after a 3 year old and carrying an 8 month old all night at the wedding.

The fit was perfect! The material was a little stretchy and very comfortable. I didn't feel restricted when dancing at the rehearsal dinner.

I needed a dress for a "cocktail attire" dinner/awards ceremony & this dress could not have been more perfect! Our university's colors are purple & gold, so I find myself rotating between 3-4 dresses I own for this annual event. I finally decided to give RTR a try and I was not disappointed! The color is amazing! It does look blue in some lighting but it is definitely purple. The neckline is a little lower than I am used to (having a small bust), but not so low that I was uncomfortable. It is definitely form-fitting, though not uncomfortably tight, but if you are at all concerned about your midsection, I would maybe wear some shape wear (I don't own any but I found myself making sure I was "sucking it in" since I am a little self-conscious). I loved that I got a backup size for free (wore the small; also got a medium) and it actually arrived a day earlier than it was supposed to, so I had extra time to make my decision. I received many compliments on this dress and I truly wish I could buy it! Hopefully we will see more similarly awesome purple dresses on RTR in the future!

This dress was perfect for a Memorial Day weekend. This dress was true to size and hugged me in all the right places. The lace overlay gave the slight bit of elegance needed for the wedding. I highly recommend and look forward to renting this dress again, even in the teal color!

I wore this dress to a daytime event, but it could have easily been worn for an evening. Purple can be a hard color, but this dress with the lace effect and nude liner made it very elegant and not Barney the dinosaur. For reference, I am petite (5'2), larger bust (32DDD/E), narrower hips, and this dress fit perfectly. It is very comfortable, has a little stretch and not itchy at all.

It was very low cut in the chest. You need to wear a very low cut bra with it. But the fabric is stretchy so even though it hugs your body it didn't feel tight.

Absolutely adored this dress! I loved the color especially since I'm fair skinned. It was form fitting enough to be flattering yet stretchy enough to move and dance around! I loved how it wasn't super low cut, but again just enough to be classy. I would definitely rent this again!

This was my backup dress and I really considered wearing it. It's a really high quality dress that you can wear a full bra with. It looks fantastic on, very flattering and elegant. I'll likely order it again as my primary for a different event. The medium fit perfectly.

This dress is GORGEOUS. I loved it. It's also comfortable with stretchy fabric so it is form fitting but does not cling like spandex. It is a beautiful color purple but looks deceivingly blue in certain lighting.

I wore this dress to a fall wedding and it was a hit! I normally wear a size 4 and the small was snug but comfortable. I loved the bright color and got lots of compliments. This dress was a great choice!

I tried this on and hated it, I felt really uncomfortable in it and was not feeling it one bit! We were staying at a hotel for the wedding and I pulled this out of the bag dreading putting it on, when I did I thought to myself what the hell is wrong with you! I freaking loved it!! I seriously just have been just having a day when I first tried this on! I couldn't have been happier. This dress brought me tons of compliments the color was amazing the dress itself was extremely comfortable I could move and dance in it. It didn't even slide up like usual fitted dresses do! I would totally re-rent this dress in a heartbeat! It was perfect!

Wore this dress for clubbing in Ibiza. What was not to love? It fits true to size, has give, but sucks you in all the right places, eye- catching color, pretty lace, and very comfortable. I danced all night long! You won't have to wear a bra with this one if you're smaller up top like me!

This was my first RTR, and it couldn't have gone better; Although the XS fit me, I wanted a little extra room for activities (food, drink, etc.) so it was lucky that the S fit just fine as well! Just a hair longer than the smaller size, so it was totally manageable. A pet peeve of mine is having the sleeves too high in the armpit area, so you get pit stains/a little smelly, but def not a problem with this dress! Perfect all the way around. Note: I'm 5'0, weigh around 112, 36B, athletic build.

After my original order turned into a nightmare RTR sent me this as a replacement and thank god they did! I loved every single thing about this dress. The color was vibrant, the material had the perfect amount of stretch, and the design had me feeling sexy yet classy. I received so many compliments. I can't come up with one bad thing to say about this dress.

This dress was such a great one for a formal wedding. The lace was gorgeous again and the overall dress had good stretch. I was comfortable all night long! I am in the 6 to 8 size range. The medium fit well but the large had more room. I would recommend this dress to anyone!

I'll just say that if you are at all considering renting this dress, you should definitely go for it! I had two separate weddings in one weekend and this dress did double-duty just wonderfully. I couldn't have been happier! It has just the right amount of curve-hugging stretchiness without being at all tight or binding. And the color speaks for itself, definitely an attention-getter. Another wedding guest came up to me and said that whenever she goes to a wedding, she always picks out her favorite guest dress, and that I was the winner that night. Great dress for dancing, and I even hula-hooped in it at one of the weddings. I normally wear a size 6, but the Small dress was just a wee bit snug; it was great to have the free backup size because the Medium fit perfectly. This was my first time using RTR and it was so easy... I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

I wore this dress 24 weeks pregnant and it fit like a glove and was super comfortable! I received so many compliments all night long! I ordered the S and M, but the S fit perfectly, as there is a good amount of stretch to this dress, while at the same time still having good structure and not being flimsy or thin. It also had decent bust coverage for girls with larger chests- I am currently wearing a size 34E and had a little cleavage showing on top without being too out-there. I would definitely rent this one again!

Stretchy, beautiful, flattering. An A+ all around

Perfect fit. Perfect color. So versatile. This is one of my most favorite dresses I have ever worn. I am thinking about buying it permanently and I never thought I would do that. I wore it for my doctoral graduation, so it was nice and cool under my robe, but then loved it so much, I work it to a work formal and was able to break it down on the dance floor with no restrictions. If you are petite like me - this is THE perfect dress for you.

I happened to be sick when I wore this to a wedding and despite feeling gross and it being cold and rainy, I felt really comfortable all night in this dress. You can wear a regular bra with it and you can move around all night without having to readjust too much. It does ride up a tiny bit when doing stairs because of how fitted it is, but for the most part it stays in place all night. I paired it with nylons because it was freezing out, but it could definitely be worn without because the stomach area of the dress really hides any pooch you might want to Spanx or control-top into place.

I rented this as a back up for the night and ended up loving it more than the other one! This was a nice fit and not too long. ( I'm short so most are too long) It was good fabric not too thin not too thick. I would rent this again.

Rented for a formal fundraising event, purple tie affair. Was fun and comfortable. True to size and stretchy. The only Weird thing I would comment on are the sleeves, they are in between sleeveless and caped sleeves. Otherwise it was perfect for the event I attended.

The highlight for me was the color! Finding purple dresses is tough and that's our organizational color. The dress fit well and true to size. Conservative enough for a work event. Could wear it with a normal bra. Paired it with some nude pumps. Lots of compliments and comfortable the whole night.
