I would definitely rent the dress again - it was beautiful, flattering for my body type, and easy to move around in. Like others have said, it does fit small in the arms and upper body area; it's not stretchy at all, so go up a size than usual.

I initially ordered this dress in my size and one size up, but when I received them, they both had holes in the underarm area. Fortunately, the excellent RTR Customer Service was able to send me replacement sizes and even allowed me to change them to 1 and 2 sizes up and I ended up wearing the dress that was 2 sizes up. Even though it was a little loose in the waist, it was much more comfortable in the arms. It was great to dance in all night and I'd definitely rent it again!

I loved this dress! I ordered it for a Christmas party and it was absolutely perfect. The skirt is fun and full, the bodice has lace. The sleeves were a little too tight. The bodice has a nude underlay and the arms are just lace. Overall, perfect! And I got TONS of compliments. Perfect with a black, nude, or metallic pump.

i totally agree with the reviews that say the sleeves are tight. so i did size up and ended up wearing the bigger size. overall the dress was great and i loved it!

I almost always wear a 0 from RTR but the arms on this were TIGHT. I couldn't even get them over my biceps, so I was glad I had ordered the 2 for my backup size. The 2 fit perfectly. The dress was a gorgeous cranberry color in person, which was ideal for the holidays. I highly recommend this - one of my favorite rentals!

I wore this to 2 work holiday parties - it was the perfect balance between professional and festive! It actually looked better in person than in pictures. I am usually a size 2-4 and wore a size 4. The dress runs really small (especially the sleeves - they were seriously cutting off circulation on my biceps!). The lace was my favorite part!

I loved this dress! I wore it to a holiday party for my SO's work. The dress was a little snug. The sleeves were very tight on the guns! I wore a 4 but would have probably felt more comfortable in a 6. I would recommend going a size up for your back up dress.

The sleeves are tight! I don't have the biggest arms, but I don't have the smallest arms either. I had to go up a size just to get my arms in the sleeves. I also needed help with the zipper in the back and the hook & eye. Otherwise, this was the perfect little dress!

Runs small in the arms. The lace is not very stretchy either which made it difficult to get on and off. The zipper also had a habit of sticking right over the black belt detail. The color and design were fun and elegant, would wear again! Just size up next time.

I rented this but decided on a different dress I rented because it was a bit more comfortable. This was a very pretty dress but like many of the other reviews said, the sleeves were extremely tight and limited my mobility in my arms, which is the main reason I didn't wear it to the party.

I wore a larger size than usual, and it was still tight. Not as flattering as I had hoped. I felt the pleats in the skirt, made my bottom half look bigger...but perhaps I have already gained a few holiday lbs! The arms were tight, which I had expected, I have worn this style before. But it was also tight across the back, like hard to reach forward. It worked for the night though. And I received many compliments. Overall happy with it for one night.

Perfect For a Fall Wedding - Received Many Compliments! I am a size 4 and I rented the 6 as a backup because I read that the sleeves were tight. The 4 fit me like a glove and the arms were very snug (no give to the lace at all), so I ended up wearing the 6 so the sleeves weren't as tight and the waist was not as tight (room for drinks and food!). I loved the quality of the material, it was nice and thick. The skirt was a good length and fun to dance in! The color is also a bolder color in person, which I loved. Overall, I am glad I sized up because I was able to stay comfortable all night with many drinks and cake.

First of all I absolutely loved that dress, the fabric is so soft and the cut is flattering. The down sides are that the sleeves and chest areas are extremely tight. There was limited motion in the arms because of how tight it was. I read the reviews and went with everyone's advice ordered the dress a size bigger and the backup dress was two sizes bigger. I am normally an 8 but ended up wearing the 12 for comfort. I would recommend this dress for anyone!!

The waist was true to size. It fit me perfectly, very form fitting. I loved the material of the skirt, as it was a bit heavier than I expected, making it feel and look more expensive. The color was lovely as well. A very deep burgundy red, with blue tones as opposed to orange, perfect for a holiday party. The only drawback, as others have mentioned, was the sleeves. The lace looked lovely, but there is absolutely no stretch at all, and even with a very slender arm, it is very difficult to put on, and impossible to raise your arms above your head once the dress is on. The rest of the dress was so lovely, that I managed to still love it throughout the party. I just had my husband reach for things for me. Overall, I would recommend, if you don't plan to dance too wildly in it.

Gorgeous dress! The color, quality and details are great. I would give it 5 stars if it didn't run so small. There were no reviews when I rented and barely (luckily) squeezed in to the 2 which typically would not be an issue. Many compliments on it and I loved the convenience of not having to shop/pay for a formal dress that I'd probably only wear once anyways. 100% recommend, but order 1 or 2 sizes up for sure.

The dress ran a little smaller than I expected (the sleeves were a little tighter that I would have liked) but overall it was lovely. I received a million compliments that night. Plus it was so fun to twirl in the bouncy, empire-waisted skirt!

The dress is very pretty and was flattering and comfortable in the body, but the sleeves have absolutely NO give to them. For the first time in my 2+ years of RTR I had to have another size shipped to me - that's how bad the sleeves were. Thank God for RTR's fabulous customer service team!

This dress was beautiful, it was my husbands favorite but at 5 months pregnant the waistline was too snug for my comfort. I thought it had more of an empire cut but it was just an inch too low and cut into my baby bump. I wish I could have fit in it because the material and cut was so beautiful!

I received tons of compliments. It felt great and moved well on dance floor. I felt it ran true to size. The lacy on the top fits snug but didn't feel tight.

Definitely a nice, heavyweight dress. The fit up-top is tight. I'm a 36D, ordered a 10 and couldn't zip it up at all. I'm normally an 8.

The dress is a great length and runs true to size except for in the arms. I had to go up a size because my arms did not fit into the size 4 sleeves unless I risked ripping the dress and not being able to move my arms- the sleeves on the 6 were even tight. I recommend sizing up by at least a size, if not two if you can swing it. I usually wear a size 2/4, but I wore the 6 and wished I had an 8 to try on.

I rented this for a wedding reception with my husband's family; his mom was adamant about having us home after our smaller, destination wedding to show us off to his extended family and her friends, so I needed to be on point. This dress was seasonally appropriate for fall and really lovely. I got a lot of compliments and felt good in it. I wore the size 4, true to my normal size, and it fit well... save for it being somewhat tight in the shoulders and bust. There's little give. I had to pull it down from time to time. Overall, I'd rent it again.

This dress is really pretty! I love the color and the style of the dress is great. I got this dress overnighted to me after my original rental didn't work. I sized up based on the previous reviews. However, the dress still didn't work for me. The sleeves are very tight, but so it the armpit area, so you can't lift your arms above your shoulders. Had I been going to an event that did not include dancing, I probably would have worn this. I was attending a wedding and I needed to be able to raise my arms up to dance! ;) Would definitely try this again, but size up again knowing how small it runs because it is really a pretty dress!

I loved how this dress looked, but it was definitely not made for someone with anything other than wafer thin arms. I have muscle tone and my arms aren't even all that big, but the sleeves were a bit tight. Uncomfortably so!

This is definitely a beautiful dress, however, beware that the sleeves are tiny. There is absolutely no stretch as the sleeves are lace. I am a size 10/12, and had no chance with the size 10, the dress fit great in the waist and bust on the size 12, however, the sleeves were still a bit tight. The color is really beautiful, and the picture displays it very well. I wore this on a date with my boyfriend, and was very happy in it!

I went with the other reviews and ordered a size up. The arms were slightly tight - but not distracting. The dress was very flattering when standing up. But when sitting down, the black waistline didn't have any give so it was very tight and didn't allow the dress to lay as nicely. The red wasn't as bright in person as it is in the pictures, but was still a nice color.

This was a sweet dress for a holiday party. It's flattering, however, it runs VERY small. I'm a pretty reliable size 4 in dresses, but the back-up size 6 just fit. I highly recommend renting up one size from your usual size and then up one size from that for the back-up.

This dress is beautiful, but unfortunately I couldn't wear it. Lace on the arms is fairly tight (wouldn't be able to lift arms up much) but doable, skirt is lovely and falls nicely away from body, but the black band around the middle was soooo tight! The size 2 fit everywhere except here...could barely even zip past this and once I did the bad cut into my ribs way too much to consider wearing. I tried to rush order the size 4 but it was unavailable so I wore my back-up style (which I loved). This could be a great pick if you're very small-framed!
