Up front: I have pretty greasy skin that likes breaking out, especially right before big occasions. That's why I decided to get this. Now for how it works: It works great as a moisturizer, but I feel like my face is a little greasy or heavy by the end of the day (it doesn't look that way, it just FEELS that way). But my makeup has stayed in place, my pimples have stayed covered, and, best of all, my eye makeup isn't starting to move down my face onto my cheeks. I love this stuff. It's not something I use everyday, just when I need my makeup to last for hours on end. I don't think it would keep my face fresh after a workout or anything (although I haven't worn it to the gym). But I really like that I can go day to night with my makeup without checking in the mirror every hour and fixing all the problems (eyeliner on my cheekbones? no thank you)
