Was the best dress for this all black attire black tie wedding. Super classy and fit great. It is a very open back (I forgot the great tan lines I had from the summer) and you can't wear a bra. So I had gotten a body suit that had straps that went very wide and had a low back. It worked great and I used some fashion tape so the shoulders wouldn't go down.

This dress is timeless from the velvet to the open back. This dress is the moment and you won’t regret renting.

The dress is velvet (I couldn’t tell from the photos) and is very flattering. I am 5’7” and the dress was the perfect length with some heels. Will rent again!

Fit great with a beautiful silhouette. I did use fabric tape on the back. Depending on your shoulder width it could slip off shoulders.

I have never felt more beautiful than I did in this dress. Not only is it gorgeous but so incredibly comfortable. Too long for my 5’3 frame even with a 4” heel but was able to fashion tape the front and make it look more like a mini train in the back. I wish I had somewhere else to wear it!

The most classy of dresses! I feared the back would be too low, but it was just the right about of back showing and fit so perfectly. It’s a bit stiff to move in, as the fabric doesn’t give much. My only complaint was that the high neckline agitated my skin at my neck a bit, but small price to pay. It wasn’t very long on me, but I did have a bit of a train which was nice! Would rent again so fast!

Wore this to a black tie affair in November and it was beautiful. Low back was still very elegant and the velvet material helped keep me warm. Got so many compliments. I wore short heels with the dress and I am 5'6 and the dress touched the floor but not enough that I tripped on it. No bra needed even with my D cup size. Would rent again~

I was prepared to wear the 10 but the 8 fit perfectly! I’m 5’5 - 5’6” and wore tall heels. It’s longer in back than front. If you want to wear lower heels consider petite? Wore spanx to smooth but not necessary. No slit so you can’t take big strides but walking and sitting was so easy. I’m big chested but it wasn’t tight. No bra necessary. Got compliments from strangers on the elevator. Highly recommend!

I sized up to a 6R based on other reviews and am glad I did because even then, the fit around the hips was snug when I sat down. The material is thick and comfortable, and the back is such a showstopper! Great for a black tie wedding, especially in the fall/winter.

This dress is stunning. Gorgeous! I did not realize it was velvet when I rented it, but I loved it. It’s equal parts demure and head turning. Fits like a glove. The neckline is beautiful!

This was perfect for a conservative, formal event. I used boob tape, and was not able to wear shape wear because of the low back. Many reviews suggested the dress ran small and so I ordered my backup size in a larger size. Wish I’d gone with my smaller size, but what I wore was fine for the evening.

Was a great option, dress was little tight at my hip/thighs so sitting wasn’t as comfy. I was between sizes due to my body shape so did go with the smaller size.

Loved the low cut back on this dress. It was a little long so I had to lift it up a little when I was walking but as long as you wear heals, it should be fine.

The dress is beautiful and classy. Had to wear a shorter heal so it wasn’t too short. Fabric doesn’t give at all which makes it hard to bend/move.

I wish I could wear this everyday- I felt amazing in it. Fits as expected. A little long but just had to wear a taller heel (I’m 5’3”) Going upstairs was a little tricky as it does have a bit of a mermaid style. So you’ll have to left the dress up to allow for better movement. My only gripe with the dress was that since it is a boat neck style, it rubbed my neck raw. Do yourself a favor and rent the dress if you want tons of compliments!

I got SO many compliments on this dress! Great length and very comfortable. Very elegant but sexy with the low back. The train is on the longer side, but wasn’t annoying.

This dress was PERFECT! It was a little large, though. I got the 4 petite and I usually wear a 4 but it was still long and slightly big. However, the 2R fit really well!

I got endless comments on this dress. Classy in the front and sexy in the back and unbelievably comfortable. There is a train on the back but definitely manageable. I’m normally a 2 or 4 and the 2 fit me great. The 4 was too big in chest.

This was a real showstopper and flattering all around. Great for short girlies if you can get the petite. Better for smaller bust.

I ordered a 4R and a 6R knowing the size 4R would likely fit better on top, but be too tight on my hips (38” hips) and too short for my taste, and I was exactly right! I’ve always found Staud’s sizing to be a bit narrow, and I prefer things not to be super tight. I ended up wearing the 6R and I used a bit of Clutch Glue (fashion glue) to make sure the top stayed in place since the dress is backless and it was a bit too large on top. It looked great! Wore this to a black tie wedding that was on the less strict side, and it worked perfectly. If you’re above 5’9”, reminder that this is a style that’s shorter in front and has a tiny train, so if you prefer your shoes not to show, this isn’t the dress for you.

I love this dress, but if you have wider hips, beware that there's not a lot of give, and if I sized up I don't think the top would fit right. Perfect length!
