These dresses run small, size up! They are light but the torso/body of the dress is fitted. Also, on the shorter side (not a long "princess" dress, if you have a little girl you know what I mean!). I rented two for my little girls and they both loved them. Rent it!

Got size 6 for granddaughter who usually wears a size 5. She is 45" tall and 40 pounds. She put it on and couldn't wait to get it off because the sleeves were too tight. The picture is deceiving as there is no stretch in the top. Looks like a knit fabric but it is not.
