I knew this could go either way when I rented it, but I think the round edges (while comfortable) make it look just slightly childish. A sharp clean edge could take it from party to formal. I thought you may be able to see through the glitter in places to what is inside but you cant. I liked the silver side better than the gold side. The gold was pretty yellow. Overall fun, just a tiny smidge off point for my personal taste. Would consider renting again, may be perfect for NYE.
