I rented this early for New Years Eve and ended up using it to go out to dinner a few times, as well. It's just the right size for "going out necessities." It easily fit my phone, credit cards, license and a few makeup items with room to spare. It closes on its own and includes a metal chain strap, so it's the perfect purse for nights you might be apt to forget your purse or drop things out of it. It looks exactly as pictured with a subtle sheen. I will definitely be renting it again for another formal affair!
