I got so many compliments on this dress. It's unique and absolutely stunning. It runs long for us shorties, but I think we all expect that. I have a wider rib-cage, so it was snug through the waist and I couldn't move my arms much, but it looks great in the photos. Highly recommend! Great detail!

This dress is a show stopper. I received complimentsLove the self portrait line, never disappoints. This dress is not only comfortable but it's unique and so flattering. It feels very couture, structured and substantial. It runs a little small so if you're in between sizes, size up. It's also a little short (The interior lining) but you can easily add a beautiful black slip underneath to create another layer like I did, and it looked perfect. I love this dress so much that I'm going to buy it.

Other reviews said the dress runs small so one size up from my usual US 2 to a US 4 worked perfectly. Don't expect to raise your arms up above your head in this dress!

This dress is a true piece of art! The construction is so perfect, the size is the exact dimension, if you are not petite on top, size up! It fits like a corset, by design, so you don't need any "support" underneath to showcase the true beauty of the cross-stitch design! Truly stunning dress, but size up for your backup size!

I knew to size up in Self Portrait, one size usually works out beautifully. This dress is fun, a bit edgy and sophisticated. Loved having pockets. Would rent this dress again.

This dress was great. Like most the other reviews said, it did run small so I went with the 6 even though I am normally a 4. The 6 fit perfectly. A little tough to throw your hands in the air like you just don't care on the dance floor but I made it work. Would love to wear it again.

I typically wear a 4 and wore a 6R in this dress based on other reviews. The 6 fit perfect. I ended up getting engaged the night I wore this dress, so I might be biased, but this dress is magical. Super classy and elegant, with the right amount of sexy. Note: it is tight in the rib cage. It wasn't entirely uncomfortable, but if you like a loose fit, you may not love it.

I originally rented this as a backup in July. I would have worn it then but it was slightly too tight. I had another event pop up and i knew right away I would rent this again! I rented the size 2 and 4 and ended up wearing the 4. It was a perfect fit except for my broad shoulders. I really couldn't raise my arms over my head but could still move and dance. I loved this dress. It's the perfect combination of sophisticated with a hint of sexiness because of the underlay. It's not the most comfortable dress , as it's hard to raise your arms and a bit scratchy, but all in all I loved it. I would sure or size up. I rented this for a charity dinner with cocktail dress code, but didn't end up going, so never wore the dress. I will definitely re t it again though, it's stunning and the fabric is heavy and feels expensive. It fits like a glove and is sexy but modest at the same time. Just one note- it's hard (for me- impossible) to zip up alone so I recommend single ladies ask a friend to join them while they're getting ready! It also definitely runs small, in between 4 and 6, rented the 6, and could have sized up.

Ordered this dress for a formal birthday party. Read reviews that mentioned how small it ran but I went against them and order a 0R anyway. I'm 100lbs and my husband had to literally stuff me in it. Once I got in the dress I was fine for the evening. Loved the neckline, waist, and skirt detail and the plus was it had pockets! FYI, if you're going dancing, please be aware that you're unable to lift your arms. At the end of the night, I ripped the sleeve area :(. So if you're considering this dress make sure you order a size up and do not lift you arms. It was all worth it in the end because I felt beautiful and received so many compliments.
