Great fit although the skirt portion was a bit short for my butt! Also hard to get out of! Still loved :)

Loved this dress for a fall wedding. I wore my “size up back up” there is no stretch at all but holds in all the right places and very flattering. The quality of the fabric is great and zips up. I got so many compliments as well

This dress was AMAZING. Exactly what I was hoping for. It fit beautifully, the cutouts were sexy, the lace was form fitting and edgy, and the style was unlike anything anyone else was wearing. I felt like a million bucks!

Love this dress! Self Portrait is a classic... For petite gals, the length hit my ankles -- I'm 5"2). I wore size 0 at 107lbs, 32 D chest, 24 waist; the size 2 fit as well, but it's heavy material and I opted for something more snug in all the right places. Chic, full coverage for winter events.

I ordered this dress for my engagement photos and was sooo excited at the prospect of wearing this. But unfortunately, it didn't end up working. It's not a flattering dress unless you have like no fat on your body. I'm typically a size small/4 (5'6" 138lb) but this runs really small and the lace is thick/heavy so it doesn't just sit nicely on the body. Also, there was a problem with the zipper on my dress - it's impossible to get it to open/close at the seam. Was scared I'd rip the dress.

I wasn't sure how I felt about renting this one because it's not my typical style. But I kept coming back to it and finally went for it. As soon as it arrived, I knew it was perfect. Super comfortable, loved having pockets, and the cutouts were perfectly placed to give the dress an extra kick. I wanted to keep this one for sure. Only one small negative (which wasn't a big deal) was that it was really warm to dance in. Rent this and you won't be disappointed.

This dress was true to size. I didn't wear a bra, which I kind of regret now, but not a super big deal. I'm 5'2, 130 pounds and I wear a 36C. It was perfect for the red carpet event I attended. It's super warm which was perfect for a December night. I got lots of compliments and felt lovely and elegant.

Absolutely obsessed with this dress. My favorite rental to date. It fits like a glove, and the fabric has a nice thick lining--to cover any little tummy you might have. Cutouts are perfectly placed so as to be flattering on most body types. The lace is of amazing quality. Wish I could live in this dress.

This dress was super fun. I wore it for a bachelorette party. So many compliments on this dress. It's August so it was a little warm for a long dress and long sleeves. The material is high quality but the dress is overall pretty heavy. Styled it with black pointy heels, a black clutch and black long earrings!

delicate details but so well-made i didn't worry about tearing it while tearing it up on the dance floor. kept me warm enough, didn't sweat, breathable, comfortable, if you're worried about a full-length dress fitting a petite body, don't!it's the perfect length and sat surprisingly well on my hips and waist. paired with a 3/4 sleeve-length, hip length cocoon coat and ankle booties. OH AND YES THE CUTOUTS! AND POCKETS. ok, I'm hyper, obsessing, but not going to purchase - definitely a one-time event dress to me. PS have to brag that i got low got low, jumped around, pulled off a few handstands...it stayed on without riding up, maintaining full coverage.

I would not have chosen this dress off a hanger, but it truly changed my mind one I tried it on. It looks conservative in shape, but is young and edgy with the lace overlay and cut outs. I wore this to a rocker-chic Grammy event and received tons of compliments! Pros: True to size. No need for extra jewelry because the high neck and sleeves are already great details. Keeps you a bit warm with the lace overlay...it's something for cold nights. TBD Pro / Con: Classy under-boob? Up to you, ladies! Cons: The clasp on the neck makes it quite tight.

Simply wow! Received tons of compliments all night. Love the elegance of the fabric, the classic silhouette and the edge of the cutouts- such a perfect combo!! Would love to rent this again! Note: fabric has zero stretch making the dress a bit constricting and very challenging to zip by yourself.

I wore this dress to a NYE wedding and although many other people wore black, it really stood out. I received compliments all night long, and felt great! I recommend going one size up from your regular size, because the dress doesn't have any stretch. If you're a smaller bust size, you probably won't need a bra, which makes it more comfortable. Loved this look and will definitely rent from this brand again!

I was a bit nervous, as this was my first rental from RTR and my original dress came in ripped. However, the customer service was amazing and they overnighted me (this) replacement, as my original dress was out of stock. There weren't many reviews, but this is a STUNNER. it's gorgeous in person (the pictures don't do it enough justice) and incredibly comfortable to wear all night long. It is a bit small, I'm usually a 2R in dresses and went with the 4R for this dress. Can't recommend enough. Only complaint is the pockets do stick out a bit, but only noticeable to the wearer.

I'm obsessed with this brand and own a few pieces. I was so thrilled to see self portrait get added to RTR. The quality of Hans dresses are unbeatable. Thick lace, modest with the right amount of edge. I loved the cutouts and length of the skirt. I am usually a 6 or an 8 but for self portrait I always go for an 8 because the under layers can run a little small and there isn't a lot of give. This dress is a 10

SO detailed!! This dress is truly like no other. I would definitely say it ran on the small side and has no stretch, so size up! Works best for cups A-C since the bust is fitted and lace. The cutouts in the stomach/waist area adds some spice to the dress without it being too revealing. Will definitely be renting this in the future!

I usually wear a 0/2, but wore the 4 in this dress. The waist is smallest part of the fit...the bust and skirt were a little large in the 4. Loved the pockets and cutout detail. Won't be able to wear a bra with this one. Overall, a more fun LBD.

Dress fit well-slightly on the small side. I am generally a 2-4 and got a 4R in this dress, and it was just right. Only thing that bothered me were the pockets-they stuck out from underneath the dress and made it look a little bumpy.

It was so tight that I had to wear the size 4, and it was still uncomfortably tight. I was also paranoid about the skirt underneath due to it being very short.

Dress is beautiful, kinda difficult to zip up alone. The cutouts give it a very sexy vibe. Length is slightly long for someone like me I'm 5'3

there is a lot of black so i wore bright earrings to contrast. it is perfect for winter and summer because it has sleeves that are long but the holes allow some ventilation. super flattering without showing too much!

I am 5'2" and 105lbs. Usually wear petite size clothing but the 0R fit great. I wore this to a winter wedding and at first was unsure whether or not the dress would be too revealing with the cutouts. I ended up choosing conservative accessories (black pumps, pearls earrings, minimal jewelry) to class it up and am happy I decided to go through with wearing the dress. I received compliments all night and it was also very comfortable to wear! I would definitely rent this dress again!

I rented this for a date to the museum. I knew we would be taking pictures, and the dress really shows a lot of detail with all the different textures. I didn't wear a bra with it, but you can probably get away with a black or nude strapless bra, although it may show a little. It was definitely a fun dress to wear.

Love this dress, ordering the next size up. Not sure if the labels are UK or US.

Gorgeous dress with a slightly A-line skirt. The black skirt underneath is less A-line and can be a bit tight/short if you have bigger hips/are pear-shaped.
